RACE ONE

All the power in this trot looks to be off the bigger handicaps where KODA DA MODA (6) looks to have found the ideal conditions to add another AP victory to the tally. Missing the money just once in 10 appearances on this deck, she was 4m from TOP OF THE MOMENT last time.

TUMULT (8) tackled open company last start when striking trouble in the running and finishing distanced. A winner here four starts back off equal marks with KODA DA MODA, she was then strong to the line at her next outing behind AGENT BLACK. She looms large.

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (5) resumes to start his 3YO season and faces a task first up off 20m against experienced performers. Last seen back in September, he will improve from the run.

IM A GYPSY QUEEN (7) struck trouble last start at Marburg and was never a factor. Making errors in both starts for the new stable, she has podium claims if trotting cleanly.

SELECTIONS: KODA DA MODA (6), TUMULT (8), NORTHERN HEIGHTS (5), IM A GYPSY QUEEN (7)
SUGGESTED BET: KODA DA MODA (6) to win

RACE TWO

An even and tricky looking trot made no easier with the capacity field. NATTY PAGGER (8) started from 20m here three starts back and could have been closer with a smoother run when 3rd to BUN IN THE OVEN. Strong to the line for 2nd last start at Marburg, he can arrive here.

BUN IN THE OVEN (4) was chasing a hat-trick of victories at Marburg last week when errors ended her hopes. Too strong for them here two starts back when sitting parked and grinding out the win, starting off the front line again is a huge plus and she will throw down the challenge.

FENOMENAL (13) was working wide off the track last start from this same handicap when just behind the money as BUN IN THE OVEN arrived. He can be finishing hard again here.

HAMMER SON (5) was trying to make ground in the closing stages last start but had to settle for a midfield return behind BUN IN THE OVEN. Runner-up three back off 20, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: NATTY PAGGER (8), BUN IN THE OVEN (4), FENOMENAL (13), HAMMER SON (5)
SUGGESTED BET: NATTY PAGGER (8) to win

RACE THREE

Bred in the purple, ARRIVE (2) is a Captaintreacherous filly out of the three-time Queensland Broodmare of the Year Washington Lass. Given a quiet time in a recent trial, she has the gate to be near the action and can do as her name suggests on debut.

FRENCH FRIES (1) will take some benefit and experience from the debut when runner-up to OUR SWEEET DELIGHT. Locked away in the run before making some nice metres in the closing stages, the gate helps his chances second up.

BASILISK BOB (3) is a Lather UP gelding on debut for Chantal Turpin. The first foal of the four-time winner A Rainbow Diamond, his qualifying trial suggests he can feature first up.

HUNGER STRIKE (8) is a Stay Hungry filly that has been sent North by Rickie Alchin for her debut. The first foal of her eight-win dam Tori May, she will be searching for the gaps.

SELECTIONS: ARRIVE (2), FRENCH FRIES (1), BASILISK BOB (3), HUNGER STRIKE (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

A newcomer to the Turpin stable that arrives unplaced in three outings in the South Island of NZ, WHERE THE BOYS ARE (3) did enough in a recent trial to suggest that she will be hard to beat first up. Chasing home in good time in that trial, a good gate here can see her cash in.

HATTIES JEWEL (1) did a great job through the recent APG Bullion Series where she was strong to the line in the heat behind MERRY JEWEL and then in the Final when runner-up to SOAP OPERA. With the benefit that this gate will offer, she can issue a challenge.

SKYRO DREAMZ (8) has placed in all four runs this season as he chases the elusive first victory. At risk of being buried in the run here, he will be searching for open space.

BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2) was runner-up in both runs to end her 3YO season from wide gates and returns as a 4YO here. With a tidy trial to prepare, she has the gate to feature fresh.

SELECTIONS: WHERE THE BOYS ARE (3), HATTIES JEWEL (1), SKYRO DREAMZ (8), BROOKFIELDS BEAUTY (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 1-2-3-8

RACE FIVE

BEACH ON FIRE (6)
should appreciate finding his way back to this class of contest and despite a potentially awkward gate, might have enough edge on his rivals. With good arm hustle before taking cover last start when just missing the money behind THE JANITOR, he can capitalise here.

ROSARITO (10) was a Redcliffe winner three starts back after receiving the perfect trip and then finishing best to pull clear to a big margin. Runner-up at his next start, he can be trailing through in the early stages here to chime in.

LANCELOT BROMAC (2) should appreciate landing in the running line here after being shuffled back on the poles at his past two starts. Only a head away three back from gate 6, he can chime in.

MAGICOL IDEAL (7) chased home against lesser opposition last start at Redcliffe which followed a tough run from this gate two starts back. With the right trip he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: BEACH ON FIRE (6), ROSARITO (10), MAGICOL IDEAL (7), LANCELOT BROMAC (2)
SUGGESTED BET: BEACH ON FIRE (6) to win

RACE SIX

Beaten for early speed from gate 1 last time out in the APG Bullion Final, HOT ROD HARRY (9) was then put into the contest and forced to work hard in the run before fading after the tough trip. Runner-up his previous two, he has the motor, just needs things to go his way to capitalise.

SHEZA CRACKER (8) made an error last start and has been freshened since that performance when down the line. Runner-up three starts back when releasing and finishing 2m from the winner ELLIS STREET, she can stalk the speed here to challenge fresh.

ROCKON ROCKY (7) was sent to the post as the fav last start where he was driven forward from gate 5 to set the speed. Nabbed in the latter stages, it followed a smart first up win. The gate hurts.

MAYWYN BONTON BOY (1) has shown plenty of early hustle at his past three starts and has the gate here to set the tempo. Holding on for the bronze three starts back, he will be gripping on here.

SELECTIONS: HOT ROD HARRY (9), SHEZA CRACKER (8), ROCKON ROCKY (7), MAYWYN BONTON BOY (1)
SUGGESTED BET: HOT ROD HARRY (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Always competitive events, EMMAS BOY (1) snares the same alley as last start when releasing the speed. That saw him then shuffled to three back along the inside, making a late play for the bronze. He can be one position closer this time and finds the race to cash in.

COMMODORE JUJON (3) is a model of consistency in this grade and last start over this trip, found the front early before taking cover. Holding on for the bronze behind BOMBADIER JUJON, he finds the right set up here to throw down a challenge.

ROCKTAGONAL (8) was chasing a hat-trick of wins in this grade when sent around them from the second line last start when finishing midfield to BOMBADIER JUJON. He will be probing here.

LAST TIME JOE (4) sat off the speed last start and when set free, had the closing speed to descend on them for a narrow victory. From a tricky gate, he can make a closing play.

SELECTIONS: EMMAS BOY (1), COMMODORE JUJON (3), ROCKTAGONAL (8), LAST TIME JOE (4)
SUGGESTED BET: EMMAS BOY (1) to win

RACE EIGHT

Attacking the line strongly last start from deep field, SIR BRIGADOON (5) faces a sticky gate here but should get his chance to capitalise. Running the winner ARKIN WICKED to under 3m last start. Forget his standing start run at Marburg the start prior. This is well within reach.

INFINITY BEACH (9) tackled an open mare’s contest last start when fading in the closing stages as MIGHT AS WELL finished best to score. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior, she can follow through in the early stages here to find position and throw down the challenge.

HES SWEET (1) has finished in the top-two at all five outings this season, claiming a victory here four back when pressing on to take control and then see them off from the front. He has the gate to be right there again.

CALL ME KEITH (8) was snookered last start at Redcliffe and never a factor. Unable to go on with it two starts back, an economical trip can help him turn things around.

SELECTIONS: SIR BRIGADOON (5), INFINITY BEACH (9), HES SWEET (1), CALL ME KEITH (8)
SUGGESTED BET: SIR BRIGADOON (5) to win

RACE NINE

Missing a quinella position for the first time this season last time out, PYRRHIC DANCER (3) finished near the rear after stepping up to Saturday night company for the first time. Runner-up to RYLEE RHAYNE BOW two starts back, he finds conditions to dictate here.

REASON TO SHINE (6) has resumed from a spell in super order, finishing over the top of her opponents to claim successive wins. Powering home to defeat the map last start after faced with gate 7, she lands wide again but with a genuine tempo can be challenging late.

MOTU CULLEN (1) was a gritty winner at Redcliffe two starts back when sent forward from a wide gate and working in the run. With the right trip in behind the action, he can feature here.

EMPRESS BYELINE (9) made the most of the gate and conditions to claim a mare’s qualifier two starts back after firing out, releasing and then darting up the passing lane. She can chime in.

SELECTIONS: PYRRHIC DANCER (3), REASON TO SHINE (6), MOTU CULLEN (1), EMPRESS BYELINE (9)
SUGGESTED BET: PYRRHIC DANCER (3) to win
