Form Analysis: Redcliffe April 30

RACE 1

ONE LAST ROLL (1) gate speed horse that has drawn ideally in this first trot rods heat for the night. If he can lead and control the race he will prove very hard to beat. 

LYDIAS ART (2) scored a nice victory in a stand start at Marburg when securing the right run. Think this race looks easier and could secure a really economical run just off the speed. 

MISTER DIAMOND (4) has previously won a Trot Rods race and placed in another one. He is first up into this race and draws somewhat awkwardly. 

PRESS STATEMENT (6) is first up into this race and draws widest which appears to set him a difficult task. He does have class on his side and has taken on tougher races than what he faces here.

SUGGESTED BET: LYDIAS ART (2) each way. 

RACE 2 

LIMBO LENNY (1) is a gate speed horse. He led last start over the 2138 and was narrowly beaten behind Jessejames Shannon. He should get every chance from the good gate and looks hardest to beat. 

MISTER HART (2) has options early having drawn a good gate. Battled on well last start to run second behind Six Times A Lady. 

KNOCKAWARWON (3) is a speedy horse that bounced right back to form last start when leading and scoring a dominant win. Draws favourably in this race. 

WHOS WATCHING LILY (6) draws poorly outside the front row and is likely to need to plenty of work in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: LIMBO LENNY (1) to win. 

RACE 3

SKYGIRL (1) has good gate speed and may be able to hold up in the early stages which would be key to her chances. She sat without cover and battled on well last start at Albion Park behind Limbo Lilly. 

MAYWYN TROUBADOR (7) should get a good run through on the back of the likely leader Skygirl. He was thereabouts last start after doing all the work from a wide gate. 

LAURIE DEE (8) may be an improver if able to obtain a soft pegs trip. He is also third up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness. Does need to lift on his first two efforts this time in to figure. 

ROCKNROLL TIMES (3) is a gate speed horse that may try to cross early. If he was able to find the top he’d be a very strong hope.

RACE 4 

FIREBOLT (8) is returning in this race for the Dixon stable. She has previously raced well at Redcliffe and seems to do her best work when saved for one run at them. If she’s ready to go first up she looks one of the better chances. 

NAUTIE GALVINATOR (5) starts from a wide gate in this race which makes his bid for victory slightly tougher. He has been in reasonable form having run third two starts ago before racing without luck last start. 

B MAC C (10) started from a back row draw last start and ran into it nicely for third there. Should be fitter for that run and looks a solid chance in this race with luck. 

GOODOLDBOYSANDBEER (6) was a strong winner three starts ago beating Prince Joy who was an impressive winner last Wednesday. He draws awkwardly and will need to do work at some stage but is capable of doing it tough.

SUGGESTED BET: FIREBOLT (8) to win. 

RACE 5

TOBEFAIRTOYOU (6) started a short priced favourite last start when leading them up and appearing to have her chance when running into fourth. There may be a solid tempo in this race which could suit her. 

MILLIEWOOD (8) ran on nicely last start behind Prince Joy in fast time for the grade. Draws favourably off the back row which should allow her to get an economical run in the early stages of the race. 

CELESTINE (9) has been racing well and led nearly all the way last start when run down by Bettys Gold Class. This race doesn’t look any tougher. 

LAST CALL (7) followed a strong speed last start behind Prince Joy and just tired late into fourth there. If she can be close enough in this race she should be hard to beat.

RACE 6 

LOSTANDFOUND (9) was luckless last start doing a lot of work early before being left without cover. He was badly held up a crucial stage before still hitting the line nicely late. He can do the work and looks hardest to beat. 

EATING IN CHICAGO (1) has the perfect draw and has been impressive his last two starts with two seconds. If he can lead he would give them something to catch. 

IMA BALLERINA (3) has good gate speed and a low draw giving her options early. She impressed on debut not far off Firenstorm before mixing her form to some extent in her nine starts. 

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (6) started from a wide gate last start and was making up late ground to not be beaten far. 

SELECTIONS: LOSTANDFOUND (9), EATING IN CHICAGO (1), IMA BALLERINA (3), LITTLE SURFER GIRL (6)

SUGGESTED BET: LOSTANDFOUND (9) to win. 

RACE 7

SWEET LAD JUJON (1) showed good gate speed to take up the lead two starts ago and scored a big win there. He made up strong ground last start to get into third. Looks hardest to beat. 

GOT THE GLOW (7) appears to follow through the likely leader. She was very good last start running into second behind Planet Downs. 

NORTEE NASH (9) did the work last start and battled on for a good fourth. This doesn’t look any tougher. 

RUBY DEAR (4) sat without cover last start and was good to run second. Her start prior she worked very hard early and was very good to battle into third there.

SUGGESTED BET: SWEET LAD JUJON (1) to win. 

RACE 8

BOKHARI (1) returns from a spell in this race and has landed the perfect draw in gate one. He has reasonable gate speed and the aid of gate one at the 2040 start point which may allow him to drive through and lead them up. Would give them something to catch.

SPORTY AZZ (7) follows a decent beginner in the early stages. He can mix his gate speed at times and will need his best beginning to drive through and find leaders back. 

BEEF CITY STARZZZ (8) scored a good trot rods victory last start when finding the front. Likely to find things tougher in this race off the back row and out to the 2040 journey. 

SCORES (9) did all the work in a trot rods heat last start and battled on quite well there for third.

SUGGESTED BET: BOKHARI (1) to win. 

RACE 9

FIFTY EACH WAY (7) was able to obtain a good pegs run last start and ran into third there. Ran into second two starts ago in behind Sun Wukong in what looks a race that may be a solid form reference. 

CHEEKY BABY (3) hadn’t missed the placings for six consecutive starts prior to a last start fifth. They got home quickly in that race with a 57.6 last half which is very fast for the restricted 1 win horses making it difficult for her off the pegs. 

ISLA ROCHELLE (4) has good gate speed and may look to use that in early stages. She returns in this race following a solid effort in a recent trial. 

SISTER JUJON (1) draws to have options in the early stages. She could need to lift off her first two efforts this time in to figure in this race but should be nearing peak fitness third up and the favourable draw will help.
