Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 11

11 May 2025

RACE 1

CANDYKANE (1) does her best racing when able to hold the lead which she looks to get the opportunity to do in this race. Hasn’t had much luck in recent outings from wider barriers finishing down the track in her two most recent starts albeit in stronger fields.

WEHAVTIME (7) should get a good run through in the early stages. Was having his first run for over a month last start and took on a strong race won by Sinabun.

MULLUM DOC (8) was able to drive through off the back row and lead over the 2040 journey. He was a good winner there running solid time. Should be running on late.

LAST CALL (4) is a capable sit sprinter and lands in a race she looks one of the classier horses. She would appreciate the tempo being on early for her to run over the top late.

SELECTIONS: CANDYKANE (1), WEHAVTIME (7), MULLUM DOC (8), LAST CALL (4)

SUGGESTED BET:  WEHAVTIME (7) to win.

RACE 2

THE BLUE WREN (1) draws ideally in gate one and has plenty of early speed to dictate in the early stages. She was a good second last start to Dancin Dolly when making a wide run into it late.

SHADYS DELIGHT (7) could secure a great run through early on the back of a horse with plenty of gate speed. Ran into it strongly last start to get third in what became a dash home. Looks one of the top hopes.

JIMMY BLING (5) scored a big win two runs back when sitting off a strong tempo and running over the top late. Couldn’t back that up last start when failing to run on when pulled wider on the track at Marburg. Can win if he returns to the form of two runs ago.

GRAVENAVA (10) did the work two runs ago at Marburg and battled on gamely there for second. She is a capable sit sprinter and looks well suited in this field.

SELECTIONS: THE BLUE WREN (1), SHADYS DELIGHT (7), JIMMY BLING (5), GRAVENAVA (10)

SUGGESTED BET: SHADYS DELIGHT (7) to win.

RACE 3

PEEJAY MACK (3) has very good gate speed and might be able to zip across in the early stages which would see her become the one to beat. She led three starts ago and was narrowly beaten by Rock It Baby there.

KEAYANG TARA (7) scored a good win last start when very well driven to find the spot three back on the pegs before working into the clear and finishing best. She will need luck from the awkward draw but is certainly in it with a good hope if that luck comes at the right time.

PARTY CHANGER (4) worked away from the inside last start and hit the line well for second. Draws awkwardly in this race and will need to be well driven early to find a good position.

ULTIMATE HUNTER (1) draws well and has options in the early stages. Recent form hasn’t been good but was having his first run for over a month last start when finishing down the track behind Mullum Doc.

SELECTIONS: PEEJAY MACK (3), KEAYANG TARA (7), PARTY CHANGER (4), ULTIMATE HUNTER (1)

SUGGESTED BET: PEEJAY MACK (3) to win.

RACE 4

ELIARN (8) is having her first start for new trainer Ricky Hart. She is likely to find this much easier than recent outings having finished 23.7 metres behind Misterpresident last start at Albion Park.

PADDYS DIAMOND (10) returned from a spell last start and secured a great run before just getting tired late. He is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that run first up and should be better second up in this race.

LITTLE MONKEY (2) didn’t make much ground last start when first up from a spell at Redcliffe although it was a race dominated by horses racing on the pegs up on speed. Second up from a spell can be thereabouts from a great draw.

YELLA (6) was narrowly beaten last start by Amillionchances when running into second. Faces a wide gate in this race and may need to work which could make things tough.

SELECTIONS: ELIARN (8), PADDYS DIAMOND (10), LITTLE MONKEY (2), YELLA (6)

SUGGESTED BET: ELIARN (8) to win.

RACE 5

BATMAN BART (1) was slowly away two back at Albion Park when crossed by Western Action. Having not been asked to come off the gate early for some time he may be better for that effort and is benefited by starting at the 2040 start point in this race which can favour horses drawn low holding their position.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7) will be hoping Batman Bart can hold his position in the early stages. She seems to enjoy racing over this trip and could bounce back to form if able to secure a good run.

WESTERN ACTION (3) showed good gate speed to lead at Albion Park and was narrowly beaten by Always Be A Torque. Draws reasonably in this race and if he can secure a good run he’s likely to be in the finish again.

ROLLONX (8) was able to work away from the inside last start and charged home to score there. He can be saved up for one run at them again and should be finishing off well.

SELECTIONS: BATMAN BART (1), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7), WESTERN ACTION (3), ROLLONX (8)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 6

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8) started one of the market fancies last start and was well beaten there after securing a good run in the race. This race looks a touch easier.

LARA BAY (9) was first up from a spell last start and never got into the race there. Should find this much easier and can usually do work in her races.

TAKE COURAGE (6) took on a much stronger race last start won by Six Times A Lady and was caught wide in the early stages. Should find this much easier and can be running on over the top late.

TAPTHEKEG (1) may have the gate speed to dictate in the early stages which could prove key to this race. He led and battled on reasonably last start at Marburg.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8), LARA BAY (9), TAKE COURAGE (6), TAPTHEKEG (1)

SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (8) to win.

RACE 7

GIDUP CAPTAIN (8) started outside the back row last start at Marburg and ran into it strongly behind The Blingster. Will find this race no tougher than that most recent outing and can be running into it strongly again.

WILLROBY (9) did plenty of work last start to get into the breeze and was well beaten into seventh. If he can secure a more economical trip in this race he’s likely to be very competitive in this company.

OUTER CHANGE (5) started outside the back row at Marburg last start and was tucked away on the pegs finishing midfield behind The Blingster. She is likely to have derived benefit from that run given she was a number of weeks between runs into that race.

JUSTCALLMENITRO (3) has good gate speed and was a nice enough effort last start. Can be thereabouts again with the right trip.

SELECTIONS: GIDUP CAPTAIN (8), WILLROBY (9), OUTER CHANGE (5), JUSTCALLMENITRO (3)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 8

VICTREE ATOM (6) was first up from a spell last start and was forced to track a wide passage on the way home. He battled on well there for a midfield finish and certainly won’t find this race any tougher.

THREEOEIGHT (3) was able to secure a good run on the leaders back last start and battled away well for second. Looks to have drawn to advantage over his main rivals in this race and should be in the finish.

CANT BE HELPED (5) was forced to do a little bit of work in the early stages last start at Marburg and couldn’t quite finish it off there in a race won by Sooty Under Fire. Draws a wide gate in this race which is likely to make things tougher.

GLENEAGLE HUNTER (8) was sent back to the trials after giving ground in his latest start where he ran second to Threefiveone. Looks. Hope on his best form.

SELECTIONS: VICTREE ATOM (6), THREEOEIGHT (3), CANT BE HELPED (5), GLENEAGLE HUNTER (8)

SUGGESTED BET: VICTREE ATOM (6) to win.
