Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 19

RACE 1 

NOTIONS (6) trialled up nicely enough ahead of her debut in this race. Ran second to Timmyteo in one of her trials and he was able to win quite impressively on debut. Looks the top hope. 

TENGERRI (2) was a much improved effort last start when running into second behind Cant Be Helped. Looks likely to secure a good run again in this race from a good draw. 

VINCENT BELLE (7) doesn’t have the best of tactical speed which might see him shuffled back early in this race. His recent efforts have had plenty of merit to them and he can be in the money with even luck. 

PUNTERS PRINCESS (1) wasn’t beaten too far last start from the same draw. She would need to improve to be a winning hope but could sneak into the money.

SUGGESTED BET: VINCENT BELLE (7) to place. 

RACE 2 

YELLA (5) has led his last two starts and wasn’t beaten far on either occasion. He was racing over the 2040 last start and was just outstayed late by Paddys Diamond who has shown promise in his career so far. 

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (6) got a long way back last start in a very slowly run race and wasn’t able to make up any ground there. Looks a lot more early speed on in this race and can be finishing a bit closer if that’s the case. 

SAMMYS SECRET (7) returned from a spell last start where he was well beaten after getting a long way back in the run. Might be better for that effort. 

CHAMPAGNE REACTOR (2) has very good gate speed and might be able to find the front early. Will have options from there.

RACE 3

SUNNY COVE (8) was running on strongly late last start when third behind Royal Winkle in what was a very slowly run race. This looks a lot more suitable and he looks hard to beat in this race. 

HEAVENS BABY (9) should get the right run into the race on the back of Sunny Cove. She got a long way back last start in a slowly run race and was wide when the speed went on. 

EBONY BELLE (5) was able to hang on for a distant third last start behind Imani. This looks a lot easier but she does have to navigate a wide draw. 

THREE MACHS (6) was narrowly beaten last start behind Batman Bart. Looks to have landed in a much more suitable race and can be running on again late.

SUGGESTED BET: SUNNY COVE (8) to win. 

RACE 4 

JUSTCALLMENITRO (1) has good gate speed and has been racing a lot better than her numerical form suggests. If she can lead and get a cheap enough first half she would be hard to catch from there. 

KIWI ROYALTY (2) led and won a similar race last start at Redcliffe. May not have the luxury of leading in this race which makes her task tougher. 

MUCHO GUAPA (7) has trialled twice ahead of a return for new trainer Charlie Chiang. Her first trial was solid enough when running second to Victree Busta. 

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (4) didn’t have the best of luck when finishing second to Shes Bewitched last start. Draws awkwardly in this and will need luck early to find a good position.

SUGGESTED BET: JUSTCALLMENITRO (1) to win. 

RACE 5

ILLBEWATCHING (1) should have the gate speed to lead and goes well when able to find the front in races. Led two starts ago and was only beaten by Good Word That very late in the race. 

BEAU STEELE (4) brings solid form into this race. He was fifth behind My Ultimate Rudi last start after starting from the back row. Can be thereabouts with the right run. 

PROSPECTUS (3) made a break last start and finds herself EOD for this race which makes her task a lot tougher. She has been racing well and can be running on late. 

KEAYANG TARA (7) should get a great run through early on the back of Illbewatching. Can be finishing off strongly if the gaps appear at the right time.

SUGGESTED BET: BEAU STEELE (4) to win. 

RACE 6 

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (1) started a short priced favourite last start and didn’t have much luck there when ending up four back on the pegs in the early stages. Has good enough gate speed drive through and lead and should give them something to catch. 

RIGHTYO (7) looks likely to secure a good run through in this race from a suitable draw. His run two starts ago when finishing third behind Oyster Stride was good enough to see him competitive in this race. 

GRACENAVA (8) has been racing in good form of late. She was a good second two starts ago when racing without cover at Marburg. Has options in this race. 

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (3) drops back in grade for this race and should find this company a lot easier. Draws what looks likely to be an awkward gate. 

SELECTIONS: ABSOLUTELY STOKED (1), RIGHTYO (7), GRACENAVA (8), LOVIN MISS DIXIE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: RIGHTYO (7) each way. 

RACE 7

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (2) has very good gate speed and will likely push forward at the start. If she can obtain the right run she would be hard to beat. 

FOUR FEATHERS (3) has been improving recently. His third two starts ago at Redcliffe was in very solid time for the 2040 and would see him hard to beat in this race. 

LAST CALL (5) was making up good ground last start behind Mullum Doc in a decent mile rate for the grade. Should be running on again late but will need the tempo to suit after getting back from gate 5. 

TOMMY BLIGH (9) took on a slightly stronger race won by Macs A Dude last start. Can do work in his races.
