Form Analysis: Redcliffe May 4

4 May 2025

RACE 1

SPORTS BOUNTY (9) brings in significantly better form than anything else in this race with a very impressive third last start in a 1.53.9 mile at Albion park after coming from off the speed. A repeat of that last effort is likely to see him very hard to beat in this company.

MULLUM DOC (10) led last start and was game in defeat third running second to Happy As Can Be. Made a break two back at Marburg in a race he started a short priced favourite.

GHOST TRAIN (3) has good gate speed and may look to get across in the early stages. Was a good winner three starts ago.

TAURUS BROMAC (8) can mix his form at times. His best is certainly good enough to figure somewhere in this race.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS BOUNTY (9), MULLUM DOC (10), GHOST TRAIN (3), TAURUS BROMAC (8)

SUGGESTED BET: SPORTS BOUNTY (9) to win.

RACE 2

FLO RYDA (9) has been racing much better than his numerical form suggests. He looks extremely well placed in this company and might get a perfect track into this race.

ROCK HAMMER (7) draws inside the back row and follows out a moderate beginner that might just be able to do enough early to lead. If he can be close enough to the speed he’d prove very competitive in a race of this nature.

ACCELERE (4) has been well below his best in recent outings. His best is certainly good enough but he will need to significantly lift off recent efforts to figure.

ASHLEE NITRO (8) is a Redcliffe specialist and can never be dismissed when racing at this track. She will find this easier than her last outing when well beaten in a leader dominated race behind English Dance.

SELECTIONS: FLO RYDA (9), ROCK HAMMER (7), ACCELERE (4), ASHLEE NITRO (8)

SUGGESTED BET: FLO RYDA (9) to win.

RACE 3

SINGER SNAP (4) could zip across in the early stages and then has options after that. Has been racing very well and will appreciate the step back to the 1780 journey.

SUNNY COVE (6) hasn’t raced for over a month which is a query. He has very good gate speed and if he was ready to go would prove hard to beat in this race.

ROLLONX (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row behind a horse that isn’t likely to be hard in the market. He can unleash a big finish off a suitable trip in this type of grade and will just need the gaps to open up at the right time.

THREE MACHS (5) was a winner three starts ago after getting a good trip. This looks similarly suitable.

SELECTIONS: SINGER SNAP (4), SUNNY COVE (6), ROLLONX (7), THREE MACHS (5)

SUGGESTED BET: SINGER SNAP (4) to win.

RACE 4

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4) nothing went right last start when restrained to last early before making a break.  He is very well placed in this company and should be hard to beat if he brings his best manners.

TREACHEROUS GABBY (6) is first up from a spell without a trial. She is very capable in this type of race and if she is ready to go she is likely to be thereabouts.

THE BLUE WREN (8) got a long way back two starts ago in what was a much stronger race and closed off strongly there. This race looks very suitable and there should be some speed on.

LARA BAY (2) can show good gate speed and draws favourably in this race. She is first up from a spell without a trial which is a significant query.

SELECTIONS: DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4), TREACHEROUS GABBY (6), THE BLUE WREN (8), LARA BAY (2)

SUGGESTED BET: DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4) to win.

RACE 5

YELLA (2) has very good gate speed and draws outside of a horse that generally likes to find a horse to follow. Was excellent two back after working hard battled away for a good third placing there.

PADDYS DIAMOND (6) is first up from a spell without a trial. His last win was very impressive after making an early error.

LITTLE MONKEY (9) is another horse that’s returning in this race. Has been well beaten in recent trials but may have derived benefit from those outings and should be thereabouts in this race.

AMILLIONCHANCES (7) was a big trial winner in his first trial back scoring by 22.5 metres over Ebony Belle. The draw looks suitable for a first up outing doing no work in the early stages.

SELECTIONS: YELLA (2), PADDYS DIAMOND (6), LITTLE MONKEY (9), AMILLIONCHANCES (7)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 6

WICKED ARK (3) got a long way back last start from a wide gate and hit the line powerfully late. This race looks a lot easier and he looks the one to beat.

TEQUILA EN ICE (1) has some early speed and may be able to lead in this race. Ran a good race last time in when leading behind Lucky Punt and Ultimate Ark.

VICTREE ATOM (5) showed ability last time in at stages. Trialled moderately but may have derived benefit from that trial.

THREEOEIGHT (2) has options in the early stages whether he attempts to find the position behind the likely leader or not. Has run some good races in his career.

SELECTIONS: WICKED ARK (3), TEQUILA EN ICE (1), VICTREE ATOM (5), THREEOEIGHT (2)

SUGGESTED BET: WICKED ARK (3) to win.

RACE 7

CONVAIR HUSTLER (1) has good gate speed and has always been a good leader. He was shuffled back last start and was doing his best work late. Looks hard to beat.

ONE CHAIN ROAD (8) never got into the race last start after getting shuffled back. He looked to be travelling well late and this race looks a lot easier.

NUCLEAR BLING (9) comes into this race third up from a spell. May be nearing peak fitness in this race.

KIWI ROYALTY (7) wasn’t at his absolute best last start when securing a good run and being well beaten there. The step back to the 1780 journey may be suitable in this race.

SELECTIONS: CONVAIR HUSTLER (1), ONE CHAIN ROAD (8), NUCLEAR BLING (9), KIWI ROYALTY (7)

SUGGESTED BET: CONVAIR HUSTLER (1) to win.
