There will be plenty of Queensland Constellations hopefuls stepping out at Menangle as Don Hugo makes his return.

The Golden Girl hopeful Eye Keep Smiling chases seven successive victories and three-year-old Hezatreacherous will put his Derby prospects on the line as he looks for a fourth successive win.

CAN DUMBO TAKE FLIGHT?

Former Albion Park track record holder Blacksadance will be third-up this campaign and looks to have found the conditions to chase a 29^th career victory.

Known as 'Dumbo' around the Chantal Turpin stables, Pete McMullen will again take the reins behind the eight-year-old who has proven to be an Albion Park specialist. 

All 28 of his wins have been recorded on the Breakfast Creek oval.

First-up from a spell, Blacksadance worked hard in the run as his stablemate Wisper A Secret carved out a strong win on a newly laid surface.

Second-up last week, the standing start conditions did not suit and the return to the mobile mile this week looks to be right in his wheelhouse.

Speak The Truth will also be third-up from a spell this week and is drawn to follow out Blacksadance, where he maps to stalk the speed and should be ready to take his shot in the stretch.

Jimartee ran on strongly in the closing stages last week to grab third place.

Jimartee produced his best run in recent weeks which was highlighted by his closing sectionals which produced the fastest last 800 and 400 metre splits of the field.

Jimartee again faces an awkward gate from barrier four.

Birkirkara is thrust into open company this week following his eighth win from just his tenth start last week.

However, Birkirkara is slammed with gate six for the fourth successive week.

Calling Buddy is facing gate 10 in his first open company assignment.

Who is the best mare in Queensland?

It is a hotly contested title and one that is not clear cut.

There are four main contenders on exposed form in 2025 and they will all square off this week in race five on Saturday night. 

The Vicar Of Dibley lands the first advantage, moving into barrier one with the early scratching.

Thesunandthemoon will start in barrier two for Tom Callaghan.

The Chantal Turpin-trained Thesunandthemoon returns from a one run Sydney campaign where she finished midfield in the Robin Dundee Stakes and was unable to force her way into the Group1 Queen Elizabeth Mile.

Chynchilla will start to her immediate outside for trainer Donny Smith.

Nathan Dawson is reuniting with the nine-time Albion Park-winner after Adam Sanderson has deputised at her past two starts.

Rylee Rhayne Bow will face the toughest task of the 'big four' this week, staring from inside the second line for Pete McMullen.

Rylee Rhayne Bow is the only Group 1-winner of the big four.

The four-year-old has claimed 12 previous victories, with all of those secured at Albion Park.

Amazingly, just 0.1 seconds is the difference in the best time recorded by three of the four, with only Thesunandthemoon yet to break 1.52.

Chynchilla has the fastest at 1.51.0, Rylee Rhayne Bow has recorded a 1.51.1 rate and The Vicar Of Dibley owns a personal best of 1.51.2.

Is that the trifecta?

ELECTRIFYING CONTEST

Its Electrifying is on the four-day back-up after racing on Tuesday at Albion Park where he chased home the Grant Dixon-trained NSW Derby runner-up, Path To Greatness.

Like Tuesday, the Chantal Turpin-trained three-year-old will again square off against a Dixon star.

This time he will have to overcome Fate Awaits if he is to bounce back into winning form.

On Saturday, Its Electrifying will appreciate an improved barrier, somewhat, moving to the front row, albeit wide in gate six.

On Tuesday, the gelding had to negotiate the outside second line while Path To Greatness overcame gate seven in claiming victory.

Fate Awaits will be first-up since April 1 where he defeated Path To Greatness.

The reigning Australian two-year-old of the year is a six-time winner at Albion Park from just seven starts.

If there is a potential upset on the cards, it could possibly come from Mackelmore Chex, Thetorque Majority or Hell Im Smooth, with all three backing up from last week’s QBRED Breeders Classic.

The lightly raced Mackelmore Chex was the best placed of those three, holding on for third behind Udderly Sweet and has the benefit of gate one for this week.
