Form Analysis: Albion Park June 14

14 June 2025

RACE ONE

A tricky one to open the card where it might be some of the wider drawn runners that could be dragged into the contest. MASTER CHARLES (8) powered home over the top of them two starts back and then last start was buried away. If gaps and momentum align, he is up to taking this.

 RISK TAKER (11)
found ideal conditions last time out and stalking the speed made the closing shot a winning one when hitting open space. Finishing best to take the prize at Redcliffe three back, a solid tempo can see him joining in over the closing stages.

 MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA (1)
fired out over the mile two starts back and from the front was able to take them all the way. He has the gate to repeat, seeing it out over the middle trip is the query.

 STUDLEIGH PUNTER (9)
was a winner four starts back and has placed twice in subsequent appearances. Runner-up last start to ROCKET CITY, a peg trip would appeal.

SELECTIONS: MASTER CHARLES (8), RISK TAKER (11), MYULTIMATE BUDDHA (1), STUDLEIGH PUNTER (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MASTER CHARLES (8) win/place

RACE TWO

Securing a ticket to The Rising Sun earlier in the week, THE JANITOR (1) makes his second appearance as he builds towards the carnival. Resuming with a dominant victory last time out highlighted by a 54.2 close out, he will be hustling hard to hold them wide and dictate.

 RIPP (10)
was first up in 18 months when finding the right conditions to capitalise at Menangle with a strong front running effort over the mile. He ships in for Bern Hewitt and although he has faced an interrupted career, at his best he will throw down a big challenge.

 DEUS EX (8)
will appreciate a return to this grade after facing a tough time in the FFA ranks in recent times. If he is leaders back on the home bend, he is right in the mix.

 CALLING BUDDY (3)
will be better suited back to this grade after being thrown to the wolves of open company last time out where he was first up from a spell. He is a podium player here.

SELECTIONS: THE JANITOR (1), RIPP (10), DEUS EX (8), CALLING BUDDY (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
THE JANITOR (1) to win

RACE THREE

The strongest edition of the Queensland Sun in its short existence highlighting the depth of the Qld 4YO’s. CHARGE AHEAD (8) will be relying on some mapping favours, however if he can hit the gap with momentum, he is a huge hope. A winner at two of his past three when sent forward from tough gates, he just needs the gaps.

 PATH TO GREATNESS (1)
will be chasing a hat-trick and snares the perfect gate to chase the threepeat. Claiming feature race success at Melton two starts back, he was first up without a trial last time when scoring a dominant win at the midweeks. Against the 4YO’s this will be a test.

 ATTACHMENT (13)
was first up from a spell here two starts back and scored a smart return victory. Sectionally superb at his past two, with the right tow home, he can feature.

 BIRKIRKARA (11)
was having career start 11 last week when thrust into open company and he stepped up to the plate with an impressive 3rd behind TURN IT UP. The gate stings.

SELECTIONS: CHARGE AHEAD (8), PATH TO GREATNESS (1), ATTACHMENT (13), BIRKIRKARA (11)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Third up from a spell last time out, GUS (13) showed the benefit of a pair of tightening runs. Finding the 1x1 trail off a 30m tape, he exploded away to claim an 8m margin with an impressive victory. Both prior runs were sectionally impressive and with the right trip, he can cash in.

 OSCAR BONAVENA (11)
was a narrow winner over NOT AS PROMISED four starts back at Cambridge, finishing midfield in his three subsequent starts. Sent around on a reconnaissance trial here last Friday, he monstered the line and, in this field, he looms as a massive threat.

 NOT AS PROMISED (7)
returns from a NZ campaign where nothing really went right. Returning to his home deck where he has 11 wins in 13 appearances, expect him to be much sharper.

 EUROKASH (2)
was first up in the Sunshine State last time out when working around from the second line to sit parked and was game when just a head away. The gate is a huge asset.

SELECTIONS: GUS (13), OSCAR BONAVENA (11), NOT AS PROMISED (7), EUROKASH (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
GUS (13) to win

RACE FIVE

Overcoming a second line gate here three starts back, CHEER LEADER (6) had the closing speed to cash in against the mares. Tackling all-comers at her past two starts, she has been down the line from bad gates and although facing another tough one, back to her own sex is a huge plus.

 GOLDEN FIRE (2)
is chasing a hat-trick and comes up with the ideal gate to show her early speed. Darting across from gate 5, she found the front last time and once in control, saw them off to post a 7m margin. From this gate she lands her chance to chase the threepeat.

 SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (10)
was first up in her 4YO term here last week and from a wide gate, retreated early before hitting the line smartly for the bronze. Tempo will assist her chances.

 ORCHID STRIDE (7)
returns from a spell to make her first appearance in 12 months. Last seen when chasing home TAY TAY, her trials suggest she is a podium chance fresh.

SELECTIONS: CHEER LEADER (6), GOLDEN FIRE (2), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (10), ORCHID STRIDE (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
CHEER LEADER (6) to win

RACE SIX

An even looking line up for the 2025 Flashing Red where ARODA (2) appears well marked ooff the front tape. With a good record from the tapes, he was well away from the 10m here two starts back to find the front and see them off. Holding ground behind LEAP TO FAME last start when 3m adrift in a 26.3 close out, if he pounces, he can produce.

 TURN IT UP (12)
continues to amaze and last week claimed a new PB when exploding home off speed to post a 1.49.9 mile. Hitting the line strongly behind LEAP TO FAME the start prior, his standing start record is super- winning at 50% of his 18 appearances. Dodging traffic will be key.

 TIMS A TROOPER (14)
gets back behind the tapes after tackling mobile conditions in recent appearances, the latest when just missing a minor behind TURN IT UP. If he can secure position cheaply, look for him chiming in.

 REGAZZO DI TILLY (4)
makes his first appearance from behind the tapes, which is always a risk. His recent form has been super, with a 2nd behind THE JANITOR two starts back and a sharp win at the mile last time.

SELECTIONS: ARODA (2), TURN IT UP (12), TIMS A TROOPER (14), REGAZZO DI TILLY (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ARODA (2) to win

RACE SEVEN

Making his first appearance at The Creek for the new stable, ROCKET CITY (1) produced a strong performance when delivering from gate 7 with a first over win, pulling away for an 8m margin. The improved gate is a huge plus second up and he looks the one to beat.

 DRAGON (8)
maps for the favours and will be looking to stalk the leader turning for home. Buried last start at Redcliffe, he was just a head away up the passing lane the start prior and will be ready to breathe some fire when the gaps arrive.

 OUR GOAT (9)
is an eight-time winner that makes his first Qld appearance for the visiting Bern Hewitt team. A last start Bathurst winner from the front with a strong last 800, he can feature.

 TEDDY TURPIN (7)
sat parked last time out and loomed up to hit the front, only to get gazing eyes and be nailed up the passing lane. Placed in six of eight this term, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS:
ROCKET CITY (1), DRAGON (8), OUR GOAT (9), TEDDY TURPIN (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 1 / 7-8-9

RACE EIGHT

Classy 3YO filly CAPTAINS MISTRESS (10) makes her first appearance for the Dixon stable with all the big Oaks on her radar in the coming months. A last start G1 winner at Auckland, she has trialled at Redcliffe in readiness and can flex here first up.

 SWEET ADDITION (4)
will be first up for the Turpin stable after two starts on this deck for Amanda Turnbull. Eased from gate 5 last start, it was always a big ask with the speed controlled in front by MY ULTIMATE BUDDHA. Back to her own sex will help.

 KYLOAN QUEEN (1)
has good speed off the arm and from this gate should be up near the action. Fading last start after setting the speed to miss a minor, she will not be far away.

 A PERFECT DANCE (8)
has placed at her past two starts and lands the gate to be following the speed again here. Best of the chasers last start, she can be chiming in.

SELECTIONS: CAPTAINS MISTRESS (10), SWEET ADDITION (4), KYLOAN QUEEN (1), A PERFECT DANCE (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
CAPTAINS MISTRESS (10) to win

RACE NINE

With three wins this season, FATE AWAITS (6) continues his march towards more feature glory, receiving a Rising Sun Invite earlier this week. Producing a strong victory here last week from a wide gate and working first over in the run, he still stomped out a 54.3 last 800 and added fitness can see him chase the repeat.

 RUBIRA (2)
remains undefeated this season, boasting a perfect three from three record, including a last start G2 win over GOT THE CHOCOLATES and MARKETPLACE. Running up behind them here last week in a trial, he lands the gate advantage to throw down the challenge.

 BRAVENTREACHEROUS (4)
found the right conditions last time out to take the Breeders Consolation when sent to the front to dictate. This is a tougher assignment.

 MACKELMORE CHEX (5)
is only lightly raced but continues to perform strongly at each appearance. Just behind the placings last week as FATE AWAIT blasted them away, he can chase a minor.

SELECTIONS: FATE AWAITS (6), RUBIRA (2), BRAVENTREACHEROUS (4), MACKELMORE CHEX (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
FATE AWAITS (6),

RACE TEN

CYCLONE TONY (2) was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when burrowing through to set the speed from gate 1 and see them off over the latter stages. Snagged back from a wide gate last start, he gets back to HQ after recent appearances on The Triangle and can look to capitalise.

 IM BOO (1)
has placed at his past three starts and has the gate to utilise his early hustle. Collared in the closing strides last week, he led from gate 7 until close to the wire the start prior. From the gate he secures every chance to challenge.

 RESILIENT (6)
was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when pressing on from a wide gate. Beaten by gate 6 last start over the 2040, he will be looking to make a closing raid here.

 ZOOM PARTY (4)
is never too far from the action and has been 7m from the winner at each of his past two outings. Positioning cheaply can see him right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: CYCLONE TONY (2), IM BOO (1), RESILIENT (6), ZOOM PARTY (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
CYCLONE TONY (2) to win
