Form Analysis: June 21

21 June 2025

RACE ONE

An improved gate can be the catalyst for BACK TO BETOOTA (1) to regain winning form after being winless for over 12 months. Striking trouble last start but still finishing 6m from FACT FINDER, he secures the options and looks to get his chance.

 MASTER CHARLES (3)
started from inside the second line last start and was badly hampered by a tiring leader and never found the space when needed. A winner three starts back with a strong finishing raid, he has good speed off the arm and can press the button early to issue a challenge.

 ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (8)
took the trail last start from gate 1 and was best of the chasing pack behind SURE THING CAPTAIN. With another soft fence trip, he can be chiming in.

 OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (4)
tackled the Flashing Red last week and made a mess of the start and was never a factor thereafter. Back to mobile conditions can see vast improvement.

SELECTIONS: BACK TO BETOOTA (1), MASTER CHARLES (3), ROCKS OR DIAMONDS (8), OUR VINCENT CAN GOGH (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 1-3-4-8

RACE TWO

With two victories in his latest campaign, LEAP TO FAME (2) can add a third as he presses on towards the Inters. Overcoming a 30m handicap last start, he cruised home in a 54.2 last half and from this gate should be adding another win to his impressive record.

 WISPER A SECRET (9)
showed why he is widely regarded as the second ranked pacer in the state when producing a strong 2nd to the champion LEAP TO FAME last time out. Sent forward from gate 7 to set the speed, he was just a half-neck away on the line.

 RIPP (1)
was second up from a long spell last time out when sent around to the chair in the middle stages and fighting on for 3rrd to THE JANITOR. Settled behind the speed will suit.

 BEACH BALL (8)
makes his first appearance in Qld and secures the opportunity to follow the poles home. Chasing DON HUGO last start, he looms as a podium player from this gate.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (2), WISPER A SECRET (9), RIPP (1), BEACH BALL (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LEAP TO FAME (2) to win

RACE THREE

Suffering his first defeat in the QBRED Breeders, FIRE AND PASSION (6) bounced back to winning form when posting a 10m margin in the heats for this big money final. Pressing on to the front and dictating thereafter, the gate does make it tougher, but his class should prevail.

 MISTER AMERICANO (5)
was first up from a spell when tackling last week’s heats and in the small field was asked to work hard over the latter stages. Displaying his class to graft out the victory, he should take good benefit from the outing and can look to issue the challenge.

 RED BULL BERNIE (9)
broke maiden ranks two starts back with a tough win and was again asked to work for the prize when runner-up to FIRE AND PASSION. He can be chiming in again.

 KING BLING (1)
faced gate 6 in his heat and closed it out in nice order when just a half-head from MISTER AMERICANO. A soft trip behind the speed will aid his podium claims.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND PASSION (6), MISTER AMERICANO (5), RED BULL BERNIE (9), KING BLING (1)
SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND PASSION (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Striking trouble in the run last week and losing all momentum, GUS (9) was out of play at the 400. Maintaining gait, he set out after the pack and was enormous in defeat to somehow grab the bronze. If he can stay clear of trouble, he can look to stamp himself here.

 OSCAR BONAVENA (6)
made an impressive first appearance in Qld when overcoming a second line barrier and rattling hard in the stretch to take a 4m victory and a new track record. Gate 6 makes it tricky for a repeat, but under the same conditions, he looms as the one to beat.

 ZEALOUS SPUR (1)
has been in super form this campaign and last time out was closing out in good order for the silver behind OSCAR BONAVENA. With good early speed, he can feature.

 CONSTANTINOPLE (4)
is an enigmatic type, possessing great speed but can-do things wrong at times. A strong dictating winner last time at Menangle, he will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: GUS (9), OSCAR BONAVENA (6), ZEALOUS SPUR (1), CONSTANTINOPLE (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
GUS (9) to win

RACE FIVE

With just the two small heats held for this APG Fillies Final, SWEET NELLIE JOY (4) could be the one they have to beat here following her effortless win from a wide gate in her heat. Sent forward, she was too good for her opposition and with further experience, can chase the feature success.

 MIARKA (1)
should appreciate the improved gate after facing the outside of the front line in her heat where she was under 4m from the winner SWEET NELLIE JOY. Breaking maiden ranks with a dictating win at Redcliffe two starts back, she has the gate to throw down the challenge.

 AMYLEE (3)
is still chasing a first career win which punters thought would come in the heats where she was sent out deep into the red. Working hard in the run and missing the money, she has podium claims again.

 OURBEACHGIRLMAYWYN (6)
was building towards a win and delivered it in the heats when pouncing on the lead from gate 3 and taking them all the way. The gate makes the repeat tricky.

SELECTIONS: SWEET NELLIE JOY (4), MIARKA (1), AMYLEE (3), OURBEACHGIRLMAYWYN (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SWEET NELLIE JOY (4) to win

RACE SIX

The third running of The Hayden and it mostly presents as a head-to-head battle between the Turpin and Dixon stables. ATTACHMENT (6) has been going super since returning this season and was charging home last start from outside the second line to be under 5m from PATH TO GREATNESS. With good early speed, he can get handy and look to capitalise.

 DELE ROW (5)
took the trail last start and then darted through on the passing lane to post a strong win against open company. Sent forward and trying to fend them off from the front two starts back, he was collared on the wire by TURN IT UP. Back to his own age is a huge plus.

 COOL AND CLASSY (1)
was asked to sit parked at the mile in the Breeders Classic Final last start when a game 2nd to ARRIVE. Tackling older horses is an ask, but she has the class and the gate.

 CHARGE AHEAD (9)
stalked the speed in the Queensland Sun last start and taking the last shot was still a length off the winner. A strong tempo can see him descend on them.

SELECTIONS: ATTACHMENT (6),DELE ROW (5), COOL AND CLASSY (1), CHARGE AHEAD (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ATTACHMENT (6) win/place

RACE SEVEN

Extending her winning streak to seven last time out, EYE KEEP SMILING (5) ships in for the carnival with a strong McCarthy team. Breaking 50 at two of her past three wins at Menangle, she overcame gate 10 last start with a strong victory from the front. Times and margins.

 STENO (9)
has been runner-up at her past two starts where she has chased home EYE KEEP SMILING on each occasion and looks set to have to do the same again here. Only a half-head away when making a strong closing challenge two starts back, she looks the danger if there is one.

 SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (2)
was sent around them last week to sit parked and after the tough trip was still just 5m astern of the winner. Settling handy to the action, she can look to chase the minors.

 CHYHNCHILLA (8)
has built a super record here at The Creek where she has finished top two in 15 of 16 appearances. Holding on for a neck margin last start, she will be searching for a way clear of the inside.

SELECTIONS:
EYE KEEP SMILING (5), STENO (9), SHES FULLOFSPIRIT (2), CHYHNCHILLA (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
EYE KEEP SMILING (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

A member of the strong Luke McCarthy team that arrives for the Carnival, HESITATE (3) has some bigger targets on the horizon. Runner-up in the Bathurst Gold Chalice behind JACKS ULTIMATE FURY, he returned from a spell with an impressive 2300m win at Menangle last week and can kick off his campaign with another win here.

 JUNGLE DRAGON (2)
arrives with a last start Menangle win where he was sent forward from gate 7 to take control and fend them off in the closing stages. Beaten small margins when runner-up in both prior starts, he has the gate to get handy and look to issue a challenge.

 OUR GOAT (1)
angled to the inside from a second line gate last start and held ground to the wire in finishing with the bronze behind ROCKET CITY. The gate is a big plus.

 DRAGON (8)
has this same gate last week and followed home for the silver behind ROCKET CITY. A similar trip presents, and he can be taking the short way home.

SELECTIONS: HESITATE (3), JUNGLE DRAGON (2), OUR GOAT (1), DRAGON (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
HESITATE (3) to win

RACE NINE

Despite the wide gate and taking on the older mares, SOHO AMERICANO (7) should be too classy for her opposition here. Runner-up to COOL AND CLASSY in the NSW Oaks at her last appearance, she has developed a great record over her career and can start her Qld campaign with the W.

 BETTING JEWEL (1)
secured the pocket trail over this same trip lasts tart and when angled into open space, had the closing speed to take a 5m margin. Midfield the start prior when settling deep field, the gate is a huge asset and she can be ready to issue a closing challenge.

 MAJORITA JUJON (5)
eased from this same gate last start at the mile and was trying to make closing metres as CAPTAINS MISTRESS blew them away. With the right trip, she can chime in.

 SURPRISE LANDING (3)
joins the Shane Graham stable off the back of a win drought that spans 12 months. Luckless from inside second line gates at her past two at Wagga, she stay under watch.

SELECTIONS: SOHO AMERICANO (7), BETTING JEWEL (1), MAJORITA JUJON (5), SURPRISE LANDING (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SOHO AMERICANO (7) to win
