Form Analysis: Recliffe June 23

RACE 1 

ZAC DANIELS (5) came from off the speed last start in a race there was a solid early tempo and won dominantly. Draws wide in this race and is likely to get back to near last but off last starts effort he looks hard to beat again in similar company. 

DIEGO DELGADO (3) was a much better run last start when hitting the line nicely into third. He draws to advantage over his main rivals in this race and may be able to find the lead. If he can find the front he will be hard to catch. 

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (4) is a capable sit sprinter that’s in good form. She was able to lead two starts ago and just hung to score over Melton Schleger. 

UNIT FORTY ONE (10) was a dominant winner three starts ago when running over the top of October Racketeer in fast time over the 2040 at this track. He hasn’t quite been able to back that effort up his last couple but also hasn’t had the best of luck in either of those runs.

RACE 2 

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (1) has very good gate speed and draws ideally which will give her options in the early stages. She was shuffled back early last start before hitting the line powerfully up the sprint lane and had it not been for making a brief break late she may have won. 

WEHAVTIME (7) was left without cover last start and battled away fairly for sixth. He was a good winner three starts ago after securing a good run on the pegs there. He can secure a similar run to his recent win and should be thereabouts.

LAST CALL (4) hit the line well last start when running into fifth there. She is likely to get back from a poor draw and will be relying on there being a solid tempo.

PENNIE PACKER (9) was a strong winner last start over the 2040 journey in a nice return to form there. She is likely to find this tougher but can figure with the race run to suit.

RACE 3

GELDOF (2) has good gate speed and is always hard to catch when able to lead. He was a winner five starts ago when leading all of the way at Albion Park. This looks much easier than that latest win and he looks very hard to beat. 

PROSPECTUS (6) looks well graded in this race. She was a good third placing behind Rock It Baby three starts ago in a race that was run to suit the run on horses. If she can get the tempo to suit she should be running on again.

LAZY BLAZE (7) should get a decent run through at the start and races best on the pegs. He ran on well late for third lasts start in an effort that would see him in the placings again in this race.

HAWK EYE (1) has been a slight improver in recent runs. She put in a better

effort last start when hitting the line fairly from a long way back. This looks a good

opportunity from the draw to get back into the placings.

RACE 4 

SPORTING TRISTAR (1) was well beaten into fifth last start but seemed to go much better than she had been there given the fast mile rate for the grade. She is a good leader and has won numerous races out in front which is likely to be the position she finds herself in here. 

MISTER HART (9) hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent outings but does drop right back in grade for this grade and is generally never far away in this company. He should secure a good run off the speed and can be running on late.

MAGIC NITRO (8) hit the line nicely last start once clear. She draws nicely on the back row in this race and can be running on late.

DOOLITTLE DAYS (7) should get a good run through at the start on the back of the likely leader. She was badly held up last start before finishing off nicely once clear lasts start.

RACE 5

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (2) took on a stronger race two starts ago and was a solid run into fourth there at Marburg behind Saint Louis Beat and Convair Hustler. Her last start was another solid run after getting a long way back from a wide gate. Looks hardest to beat in this race.

THREE MACHS (8) is rarely far away in her races. Her most recent effort was a solid one when running into fourth behind Ghost Train who had a really soft run in that race. She generally races best when saved up for one run at them late and will be relying on the race being run to suit.

THE BLUE WREN (5) found the front two starts ago at Redcliffe in a race they set a solid tempo. She took on a much stronger race taken out by Basilisk Bob last start at Albion Park where she was shuffled back in the early stages and didn’t have a lot of luck.

LARA BAY (1) has gate speed and has drawn favourably. She has not been at her best in recent outings but may be an improver if able to secure a good run leaders back.

RACE 6 

PADDYS DIAMOND (5) was a winner three starts ago when doing all the work and winning impressively. He has since taken on much stronger races won by Fate Awaits and Rubira. He can do the work again in this company from a wide gate and looks hard to beat.

YELLA (1) has good gate speed and draws perfectly in this race. Was a solid placing on Thursday at this track behind Little Surfer Girl after securing a good run. Has options from the good draw.

ELIARN (3) was a long way back last start and made up strong ground down the outside to get into fourth. She can be running on again with the tempo to suit.

ALWAYSMISSINGYOU (7) should get a good run through at the start on the back of a gate speed horse. Has been thereabouts in recent races and can sneak into the top four with the right run.

SUGGESTED BET: PADDYS DIAMOND (5) to win.

RACE 7

CHARLIE POTATOE (2) has good gate speed and looks likely to find the front drawn outside of a horse without brilliant gate speed. If he leads he really looks the one to beat and brings strong form into this race having run a very good second two starts ago.

VINCENT BELLE (4) doesn’t have much gate speed which can often see him shuffled back early which was the case last start when shuffled back before hitting the line strongly late. He draws awkwardly again in this race but shouldn’t be as far away in a small field this time and only one horse drawn on the back row.

FUNTIMES (3) was shuffled out the race last start behind a tiring runner when well beaten at this track. She draws reasonably in this race and should be fitter for her first two outings. 

THREEONE (5) was luckless last start when dragged out of the race. Looks to have drawn awkwardly in a wide gate.
