Form Analysis: Redcliffe June 12

RACE 1 

OPALLANE (9) led last start and was just overrun late by Red Bull Bernie. He looks to land in a much weaker race here but does draw outside the back row this time. Looks hardest to beat.

TARANTULA TOM (1) started from a wide gate last start and got back to last there before hitting the line powerfully behind Aunty Poly. He appears to have good gate speed and he may get his chance to lead all the way this time from the good gate.

LONGSHOT (6) showed promise on debut when fourth at Redcliffe behind Timmyteo. He then took on a heat of the QBRED Breeders Classic series and was well beaten there after finding the leaders back in the early stages. This looks easier and can bounce back.

BOSTON ASSASSIN (4) has trialled up reasonably ahead of a race track debut. He draws awkwardly and might need to go back in the early stages.

RACE 2 

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1) ran a big race last start after obtaining the leaders back trail on Post Painter she battled on nicely for a placing there. She draws best in this race and should be able to lead if she’s on her best behaviour at the start. Looks hardest to beat.

MISTERPRESIDENT (10) took on a strong race taken out by French Fries last start where he was well beaten but still ran a good last quarter individually of 27.14. He draws outside the back row and his biggest danger draws to lead which appears to make it difficult for him in this race.

PLANET DOWNS (5) got a long way back last start in a race that was dominated by horses up on speed. He is likely to get back again from a wide gate and would appreciate a solid early tempo.

ART OF ROCK (6) secured a great run leaders back last start when in a tougher race and battled away well for a good second. Unlikely to get such a suitable run this time from the wide gate.

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE SURFER GIRL (1) to win.

RACE 3

IDEAL TIGER (1) was a last start winner when racing up on speed and just proving too good. He draws favourably in this race and does have some gate speed. If he can do enough to lead he would prove hard to catch in this race.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (7) showed good gate speed two runs ago to lead at Marburg and just proved too good there in an impressive win. She appears to get a suitable run through in this race on the back of a horse that’s likely to be keen to lead. Racing well enough to be a strong chance in this race.

TRACER BULLET (10) did all the work last start and was just narrowly beaten late at this track. He may need to do the work again from the poor draw in this but looks a solid hope if the race can be run to suit.

TORQUE WRITER (8) didn’t have the best of luck last start when being held up for clear running at a crucial stage. She has previously been placed a number of times over the trip and should be thereabouts again.

RACE 4 

TREACHEROUS GABBY (2) has moderate gate speed. Worked forward last start and just did too much work there before being well beaten late. If she can get a more economical run in this race she can be competitive. 

MISS SERENDIPITY (9) hasn’t been in great numerical form since landing in QLD but seemingly put in a slightly better run last start and lands in what doesn’t look a particularly strong race.

CRIME TIME (3) did plenty of work last start after working away from the inside at Marburg. He is capable of working in his races and looks to be in the right grade.

SIGNOR JUJON (10) three starts ago ran a solid second at this track. He seems to be best suited when not used early off the gate and looks to get a good opportunity to do that in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: MISS SERENDIPITY (9) to win.

RACE 5

ROLLONX (2) has good gate speed and should have the speed to drive through and hold the advantage on main rivals. Ran on strongly late two starts ago behind Connies Spirit who he takes on again in this race. Can prove hard to catch.

CONNIES SPIRIT (1) has good gate speed but is generally driven with a sit and looks likely to get a suitable trail in this race on the back of Rollonx. She secured that same run two starts ago and raced through to score there before running well again last time when getting into second.

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (4) sat off the speed two runs ago and closed best to score a nice win. He then took on a similar field at Marburg last start and was another good run when closing strongly into second. If the speed is on again he should be finishing off well.

SHEROCKSMYWORLD (9) has good ability and is likely to find this much easier than some of her recent races. Would appreciate a solid early tempo and can be running on late.

RACE 6 

CONVINCED (1) had no luck last start after making a break just before the start he then tried to drive through and lead before being tightened. He was then forced to work hard to get around to the lead and was just narrowly beaten by Much Bettor.

GOOD WORD THAT (7) has been racing well and looks to have landed the perfect draw to follow the likely leader in the race. He got back from a wide gate last start in what was a very slowly run race and did a good job to get as close as he did.

SPLASHNDASH (4) showed good gate speed last start to get across to the lead and dominated after that at Marburg scoring a big victory. He draws more awkwardly in this race and may be taken back at the start in the early stages.

JACKA COOPER (9) was taken back two starts ago from a wide gate and was doing his best work late. Didn’t have the best of luck last start and appears to be in the right grade to go well.

RACE 7

JUDITH GWENDA (1) has good enough gate speed to likely lead from this gate. Went forward at the start last time out and wasn’t beaten too far given the work she had done in the race. Has previously won at this track in solid time.

KASH US BACK (7) has a suitable draw and ran well three starts ago to get into third. Appears to be racing a lot better now and this race looks suitable.

BELL RIVER BOY (8) hasn’t had much luck in recent races when drawing poorly and getting into awkward position in the race. This time he draws to have options in the race.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (6) was a good winner five starts ago at this track when getting over the top of Take A Chance in good time. Ran a solid second two starts ago behind Little Bolt which looks good enough to figure in this.

RACE 8

BOLD MEDLEY JUJON (2) has gate speed and might be the class runner in this race. If he could push to the front in the early stages he would prove very hard to catch in this company.

MIKIS JOE (6) was an impressive winner two starts ago when first up in the state making a good run into it three wide and proving too good for Resilient. He draws wide in this race and will have a tricky decision early to go forward and do plenty of work or go back and get back to last.

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (1) is having his first run for the new stable in this race and should secure a good run from the gate. He has good gate speed giving him options in the early stages.

COPPERFIELD (5) is a classy horse that looks well graded in this race. He may need the run and could get a long way back from the wide gate but cant be ruled out.

RACE 9

SHEZA LENNY (8) sat off a strong tempo last start and closed best there to score a solid win. Looks likely to get a good run through at the start and should be close enough.

ONE LAST ROLL (6) worked across to the breeze two starts ago and proved too good there. He draws wide again in this race and may be forced to do the work in this race.

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (4) worked too hard early last start and was well beaten there when running eight. His form prior to that run was solid and he closed off strongly three starts ago into second behind Freelance Dancer.

SHES CLASSY (2) has been much better in recent starts running on strongly on both occasions. Draws well in this race and has options early.
