RACE 1

LITTLE SURFER GIRL (2) found the front two starts ago before handing over to Post Painter and running an impressive second there. Led again last start and looked to have every chance there when kicking away and being run down late over the 2040. A step back to the 1780 looks suitable and if she can find the front again she looks hard to beat.

FREELANCE DANCER (7) was a winner three starts ago when coming off the leaders back over the 2040 and finishing too well to score. She then had excuses two back before leading last start and battling on for fourth.

TEAM SPORT (5) started from an awkward draw at Marburg last time out and was able to battle on strongly there for second after sitting without cover in a race won by Cullectingcardles. He looks set to work again in this race given his wide draw.

TRAVELNFEELIN (4) was a winner two starts ago before heading for a spell. Took on a strong enough restricted wins race last start and should be better for the run there coming into this race second up.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE SURFER GIRL (2), FREELANCE DANCER (7), TEAM SPORT (5), TRAVELNFEELIN (4)

SUGGESTED BET: FREELANCE DANCER (7) each way.

RACE 2

HEAVENSENT (8) zipped off the gate last start and burned hard early before taking the trail behind Ucancallme Al. She finished off well into second in an effort that suggested a maiden win isn’t far away. This race looks to have less depth and she should be thereabouts.

TACTICAL ILLUSION (3) has good gate speed and might be looking for the lead in the early stages. She ran a good second placing in early May to King Bling who has subsequently run well again.

BOSTON FIRE (9) drew awkwardly last start at Albion Park and wasn’t able to get into the race there. He drops back into a maiden here and cam be running on late if the tempo suits.

SWIFTIE (1) was just fair on debut in QLD when getting a long way back and making up some ground late. She draws gate 1 but would likely need to improve to figure in this race.

SELECTIONS: HEAVENSENT (8), TACTICAL ILLUSION (3), BOSTON FIRE (9), SWIFTIE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: TACTICAL ILLUSION (3) to win.

RACE 3

THE ULTIMAT COWBOY (8) this runner is having his first start for the stable of Donny Smith. Trialled just moderately two trials ago before an inconclusive trial last start when held up. Respecting the astute stable and the favourable draw first up.

TAKING A PUNT (6) started from a wide gate last start and wasn’t suited when doing early work. He has high speed when able to secure the right run and can figure if able to secure a good trip.

SHARP AS CAMM BE (2) has good gate speed and might be the early leader in the race. She has previously led but it was just her second career start so she can be forgiven for not quite finishing that race off.

MAYWYNS ACE (5) has good gate speed which may not be of much benefit in this race from a wide draw. Has been racing well and was a solid enough second for a race of this nature two starts ago when leading and controlling things over the 2040 at this track.

SELECTIONS: THE ULTIMAT COWBOY (8), TAKING A PUNT (6),SHARP AS CAMM BE (2), MAYWYNS ACE (5)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 4

TRACER BULLET (3) showed gate speed two starts ago before over racing when sitting without cover and battling on well there for third. Didn’t have much luck last start when working hard from a poor draw and could easily bounce back in this race.

TORQUE WRITER (2) powered into the race last start and was an impressive placing there which followed up a luckless effort when unable to get clear until it was too late. Draws favourably in this race and should be running on late again.

SIGNOR JUJON (1) hit the line well last start in what was a much better effort. Draws well in this race and has options early. He has previously run well with cover and may be driven that way again.

PEPPA (7) should get a reasonable run through early on the back of Signor Jujon. She took on what appeared to be a much stronger race taken out by Canadian Lass last start and is likely to find this easier.

SELECTIONS: TRACER BULLET (3), TORQUE WRITER (2), SIGNOR JUJON (1), PEPPA (7)

SUGGESTED BET: TRACER BULLET (3) to win.

RACE 5

ARTISTIC SAINT (4) started from gate one two back and scored an emphatic victory there racing away late. He draws awkwardly in this race but looks a race he might be able to find his way to the top again and if he does he will prove extremely hard to beat.

ACCELERE (7) loomed up and appeared to set to score before tiring late and missing the placings last time out. He draws to follow out a gate speed horse in this race and appears well graded on some of his better form. Can figure with luck.

BRITTS MATE (8) took on a restricted wins race which had solid depth last start and she wasn’t beaten too far there.

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (5) finds himself ODM after a last start error. He had put in some good runs recently and this looks a suitable race if able to show his best.

SELECTIONS: ARTISTIC SAINT (4), ACCELERE (7), BRITTS MATE (8), SAINT LOUIS BEAT (5)

SUGGESTED BET: ARTISTIC SAINT (4) to win.

RACE 6

UNCLE CRAIGO (4) started from an awkward draw last start and was luckless there. Given he had not raced since April prior to that run he is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from the effort and should be hard to beat this time.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (3) has drawn well in this race albeit in what looks stronger company than what he has been racing in. If he can zip across to the pegs he will have options and should be thereabouts.

JACKA COOPER (5) hasn’t been at his absolute best in recent outings but does look well graded. He starts from a wide draw and could be driven a number of ways in this company.

PINKCHAMPAGNE (1) is one of the lesser credentialled horses in the field but is aided by the inside draw and has been racing without much luck in her races. Should be improved.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE CRAIGO (4), WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (3), JACKA COOPER (5), PINKCHAMPAGNE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE CRAIGO (4) to win.

RACE 7

KERBANG (1) has moderate gate speed and can likely drive through and lead this race a position he has gone well in previously. He ran well last start when only clear late running into second strongly. Looks one of the better chances.

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (7) was shuffled back early last time out when drawing gate 1 for new trainer Jonah Hutchinson. He looked to be in awkward position mid race but was able to sprint powerfully to get through late and score in what was fairly quick time for the grade. He draws to get a soft run through in this race and should be finishing off well again.

MIKIS JOE (8) scored an impressive win three starts ago over the in form Resilient. Seemingly secured a perfect run last time out with cover in a race they went quickly and he wasn’t able to finish that race off when running fifth. Should get a good run through in this race and can be running on late.

LEITHEN BURN (3) took on what appeared to be a stronger race last start at Albion Park won by kiwi import Chezz Dale. He has gate speed and shouldn’t be far away if able to secure a good run.

SELECTIONS: KERBANG (1), MY ULTIMATE COBBER (7), MIKIS JOE (8), LEITHEN BURN (3)

SUGGESTED BET: KERBANG (1) to win.

RACE 8

DEEBO (2) led last start and looked to be running along quick sectionals but was able to just keep kicking and ran a very impressive second placing. He draws to find the front again in this race and a similar effort would likely see him hard to beat. The slight query may be the step up in trip given his tendency to over race last start.

MISTERPRESIDENT (8) looked set to have run a solid placing half way up the straight last time out but was able to really dig deep and drive to score over Little Surfer Girl. That impressive effort would likely see him competitive again in this race from a good trailing draw over the same distance he was successful over last start.

SCRUFFY (9) can mix his form at times but appears to be quite well graded in this race. He started from a wide gate last start in a race won by The Tiger Army in which the first 3 runners home were on the fence.

ASHLEE NITRO (1) looks set to secure a perfect run at a track she has had more success than any other horse. She should be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: DEEBO (2), MISTERPRESIDENT (8), SCRUFFY (9), ASHLEE NITRO (1)

SUGGESTED BET: DEEBO (2) to win.
