RACE 1

KICKING HORSE (6) has been the clear standout 2YO Trotter so far in QLD having scored 3 wins from his 3 starts. He faces a 30 metres handicap in this race but in a small field shouldn’t be far away if he steps safely. Should be hard to beat again.

ICONIC IMAGE (5) was a winner last start when first up in QLD leading all the way after stepping quickly. This time faces a 10 metre handicap but does step quickly and might be able to make up that ground quickly after the start.

DESIRING DIAMONDS (3) was quite slowly away last start and did well to get as close as she did behind Iconic Image. She has a 10 metre handicap advantage on that horse this time and might be better for the experience there last start.

SMOKEY BEAR (2) stepped reasonably last start and was able to find the back of Iconic Image battling away well enough there for third. He stepped well his start prior before opening up a big margin on the field and just being run down late.

SELECTIONS: KICKING HORSE (6), ICONIC IMAGE (5), DESIRING DIAMONDS (3), SMOKEY BEAR (2)

SUGGESTED BET: DESIRING DIAMONDS (3) each way.

RACE 2

JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9) was a strong winner two starts ago when leading and winning at Redcliffe in one of the Young Drivers Championship races. She appears to draw favourably in this race to do no work in the early stages in what appears a suitable race. Looks hardest to beat.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (10) ran well at this track last start behind Sports Bounty over the 1660. The step up to 2138 shouldn’t worry her and she has run a number of good races over the journey in similar company to this.

HES REGAL (5) generally seems to be best suited over the mile at Albion Park. He draws wider in this race but may look to push forward in this race and find the front. If he can find a comfortable enough lead he should be hard to beat

GHOST TRAIN (11) was well beaten in a much stronger race at Marburg taken out by Mister Reactor who would be a prohibitively short favourite in this. She can be driven quietly early and should be running on late

SELECTIONS: JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (10), HES REGAL (5), GHOST TRAIN (11)

SUGGESTED BET: JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9) to win.

RACE 3

NILA MAREE (10) drops out of the Oaks last start which was taken out by Soho Americano. She draws outside the back row but looks the clear class runner and is likely to go around a short priced favourite in this race.

DARETODANCE (5) has very good early speed and might be able to zip across and lead in this race. Ran a much improved race last start when a close up second to Sabala. If he can secure a good run he should be nearing peak fitness and can be hard to beat in this race.

KONNYMARA (1) took on a much weaker race last start taken out by Fly Burra at Marburg. He did do a lot of work in that race when sitting outside the leader and should be much better for the run.

MACK ATTACK (9) was able to secure the perfect run leaders back last start and broke through to win after two good second placings. Should be suited off the back row doing no work early in this race.

SELECTIONS: NILA MAREE (10), DARETODANCE (5), KONNYMARA (1), MACK ATTACK (9)

SUGGESTED BET: DARETODANCE (5) to place.

RACE 4

UDDERLY SWEET (7) secured a good run on the back of the eventual winner Sinabun last start and ran a solid second there. He draws widest in this race which appears to set him a tricky task. He does have good early speed and may look to push forward at the start. Should be in the finish.

LEAVE IT TO LUCY (4) started a well supported favourite last start at Redcliffe and was well beaten but had no luck there when unable to get in early. She has moderate early speed and draws to advantage over a number of her key rivals in this race. Should be hard to beat with the right run.

REDS ABLAZE (5) has been taking on strong races in recent outings including the Qbred Breeders final two back where she was competitive and then the Redcliffe Oaks last start where she was well beaten but still put in a solid effort. This looks easier.

PERFECTLY QUIRKY (6) has good early speed and may look to utilise that in the early stages of the race. She was a last start winner of the Qbred Breeders consolation race.

SELECTIONS: UDDERLY SWEET (7), LEAVE IT TO LUCY (4), REDS ABLAZE (5), PERFECTLY QUIRKY (6)

SUGGESTED BET: REDS ABLAZE (5) to win.

RACE 5

SPORTS BOUNTY (4) sat outside the leader at this track and trip last start and was an impressive winner there. Steps up in grade here but does love this track and trip and should be able to get up on speed in this race and look to control things from there.

OUR ULTIMATE STORMY (10) was a good winner two starts ago when leading all the way at Redcliffe. She then appeared to over race badly last start which contributed to her beaten margin there. Should be suited doing no work in this race and should be hard to hold out late.

BEACH MAGIC (1) has moderate early speed and should land close enough in this race. He was a winner five starts ago when finishing off best at Redcliffe and since hasn’t had a lot of luck in his races.

POCKET BOOK (9) was looming into the race strongly last start when racing off the speed over the 2138 and just seemed to peak on her run late. She should be suited stepping back to the 1660 and can be hard to beat in this race with the right run again.

SELECTIONS: SPORTS BOUNTY (4), OUR ULTIMATE STORMY (10), BEACH MAGIC (1), POCKET BOOK (9)

SUGGESTED BET: SPORTS BOUNTY (4) to win.

RACE 6

BETTING ORIGIN (8) returns from a spell in this race following a recent trial at this track where he was seemingly just a fair effort behind Jensville. He should be better for that outing and being the only horse on the back row in this race should have options early. Can be thereabouts if ready to go first up.

COMMODORE JUJON (6) appears to be back in a more suitable grade. He took on a strong Band 5 last start won by classy mare Lux Aerterna. He is a versatile horse in this type of grade and should be hard to beat in this race.

WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (7) started from a wide gate last start and wasn’t beaten far by Congo Line at Redcliffe. He draws wide again in this race which appears to make things tricky for him. He ran well to finish second in a recent stand start trial at this track.

ART JESTER (5) ran into a good third five starts ago taking on what appeared to be quite a strong race. He will likely be sat up for one run at them and should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BETTING ORIGIN (8), COMMODORE JUJON (6), WE ALWAYS HAVE FAITH (7), ART JESTER (5)

SUGGESTED BET: BETTING ORIGIN (8) to win.

RACE 7

KASH TIN (3) ran an impressive second four starts ago after starting on the back row behind Captain Bart. He should get a good run from a suitable draw in this race. If he could lead he would be extremely hard to beat but should be thereabouts however it pans out early.

GO COLOUR MY WORLD (4) has good early speed and a good front line draw in this race. Ran a close up second last start after leading behind Hell Im Smooth. He should be suited by the step back to the 1660 and if he could find the front he would be hard to run down in this race.

SON OF A SHARK (1) led three starts ago from a good gate and was well beaten there finishing ninth. They may elect to adopt different tactics this time and he will have options in the early stages. He should get a good run and be hard to hold out late.

HELL OF A HAND (10) is a capable sit sprint type that draws to do no work early in this race. Was a good winner three starts ago when racing at Redcliffe.

SELECTIONS: KASH TIN (3), GO COLOUR MY WORLD (4), SON OF A SHARK (1), HELL OF A HAND (10)

SUGGESTED BET: KASH TIN (3) to win.

RACE 8

BIGGER THE BETTOR (2) returns in this race having not started since early June. He won a recent trial over Big Shadow in reasonable time at this track. If he can find the front in this race he should be hard to beat.

SPLASHNDASH (1) draws to have options early in this race. He’s a horse with great early speed and seems to be a different horse when racing on the pegs. He should get a great run in this race and should be in the money as a result.

BART BENTLEY (8) draws to follow through on the back of a gate speed horse. He finished sixth last start but was only beaten 4.8 metres there after being held up in the concluding stages. Should be hard to beat with luck in running.

QUIK CHANGE (7) was running on strong late last start into fifth after getting back in the run. It looks a touch draw for him in this race outside the front row over the mile but he is racing well enough to figure with luck.

SELECTIONS: BIGGER THE BETTOR (2), SPLASHNDASH (1), BART BENTLEY (8), QUIK CHANGE (7)

SUGGESTED BET: SPLASHNDASH (1) to place

RACE 9

MISS CRUNCHY (10) ran well making a long sweeping run into the race behind Dragon last start over the 1660. Steps up to the 2138 this time and might be suited coming from off the speed after doing no work in the early stages. If the race is run to suit she should be hard to beat.

GETAGRIP (8) should get a decent run through at the start and has been racing well. He wasn’t beaten far in a recent trial behind Bigger The Bettor and should be better for that outing. Will need luck at the right time and if that comes he should be hard to hold out.

MISS BAY KING COLE (6) didn’t have much luck last start when left without cover outside of I Got Chills at this track. She appears destined to be doing work at some stage again in this race given the wide draw which could make it tough for her to win.

MISTERPRESIDENT (7) sat without cover two starts ago behind Rock Hammer and was closing strongly late to just miss. He draws widest in this race which appears to make it tough for him.

SELECTIONS: MISS CRUNCHY (10), GETAGRIP (8), MISS BAY KING COLE (6), MISTERPRESIDENT (7)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS CRUNCHY (10) to win.
