RACE 1

AMILLIONCHANCES (1) has done things wrong previously at the start but he does have good gate speed and on his best behaviour he should lead them up. He has been in very good form starting from poor draws and still being competitive in a few races that have been tougher than this one. Looks the one to beat.

LAST CALL (7) looks likely to secure a good run through at the start of this race on the back of Amillionchances. She is well suited doing no work early and being saved up for one run at them late which she appears to get the opportunity to do in this race.

VINCENT TIME (8) hasn’t had much luck in his latest outings when caught wide and forced to the rear of the field. He draws much better in this race to do no work early and should be running on into the finish.

PENNY PACKER (6) was a winner three starts ago at this track when closing best to score over Studleigh Mark who has since run well.  She will be hoping for a genuine tempo in the race for her to be running on well late.

SELECTIONS: AMILLIONCHANCES (1), LAST CALL (7), VINCENT TIME (8), PENNY PACKER (6)

SUGGESTED BET: AMILLIONCHANCES (1) to win.

RACE 2

RIGHTYO (3) looks to have found a suitable race where he draws to advantage over his key rivals. He was a good second to Our Lucy Lou in a solid race three starts ago after leading. His latest efforts have been good enough and he should be right in the finish.

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (5) appears to be getting better each run this time in and should be getting closer to peak fitness now having had a few runs back from a spell. He was fifth in a stand start at Marburg last time out when galloping out in the early stages.

ONE LAST ROLL (6) took on a stand start at Marburg and was able to run down Azor Ahai after racing on that horses back in the run. He draws widest in this race but it looks a lot easier than the stand start he took on and won.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (8) was able to secure the run leaders back last start on Hes Regal and was able to nab him late to score. She draws favourably again in this race on the back row and would be suited by a genuine early tempo in this race.

SELECTIONS: RIGHTYO (3), SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (5), ONE LAST ROLL (6), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (8)

SUGGESTED BET: SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (5) to win.

RACE 3

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (3) has good early speed and should be able to find the front in the early stages. Her latest win five starts ago came when leading at Marburg. She was a good runner up two starts ago behind Beach Magic who has since run well.

LA SABINA (9) has been consistent in recent outings without finishing in the placings. She should secure an economical run in this race and can be running on if the tempo suits.

HARRY KANE (5) finished sixth last start but was a solid effort there in a race that was dominated by runners up on speed. He looks likely to get back in the run in this race given his poor draw but should be in the finish if the race is run to suit.

VERMONT (4) was a winner two starts ago when closing best to score at this track. She then drew poorly and wasn’t suited last start. She has since had a month between runs which looks a query.

SELECTIONS: ABSOLUTELY STOKED (3), LA SABINA (9), HARRY KANE (5), VERMONT (4)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 4

TARIFA GIRL (5) bounced back to form last start hitting the line well behind Sporting Tristar. She was able to run past Shes Bewitched in that race who was a winner on Thursday at Redcliffe. This race looks suitable and she can be running on again.

THREE MACHS (9) took on a stronger race last start taken out by Jimmy Joyce where she had the leaders back and wasn’t beaten far. She should find this race considerably easier and draws to do no work in the early stages.

MISS HATTIE (8) disappointed last start when burning hard to hold the lead and giving ground a long way from home. That probably isn’t her ideal pattern in races being burned early to hold a position and she might’ve found a more suitable set up in this race to do no work early and be running on late.

OUTER CHANGE (3) has good early speed and might be able to find the fence. She has been better in recent outings and might be ready to run into the money.

SELECTIONS: TARIFA GIRL (5), THREE MACHS (9), MISS HATTIE (8), OUTER CHANGE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS HATTIE (8) each way.

RACE 5

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (5) has been in the placings her last three starts and is in good form since returning from a spell. This looks clearly the weakest race she has contested in some time. She finished close up behind Diamond Deano last start in what was a dash home which she wasn’t suited by.

MUSIC MOTH (3) showed good gate speed last start to lead and controlled the race. She was just beaten late by Aunty Frances who got the run up the inside and nabbed her on the line. She looks the likely leader again and should be hard to catch.

PROSPECTUS (8) looks to draw suitably in this race on the back row to do no work early. She got back last start in a slowly run race and was doing her best work through the line.

UNIT FORTY ONE (6) wasn’t suited last start when making an early move three wide. He hasn’t quite been able to replicate his latest win but if he does in this race he would be hard to beat.

SELECTIONS: FANCY LIKE BARBIE (5), MUSIC MOTH (3), PROSPECTUS (8), UNIT FORTY ONE (6)

SUGGESTED BET: FANCY LIKE BARBIE (5) to win.

RACE 6

BELMER BETTY (4) has good early speed and looks a race she might be able to lead in. She led two starts ago and just got too keen there over the 2040. A step back to the 1780 looks to be suitable and this is certainly a more moderate race.

LUSTRE (9) was a dominant winner last start when leading all the way at this track over the 2040. She hasn’t drawn so well this time outside the back row which is likely to make her bid for victory a lot tougher. She has shown previously she can run on late if the tempo suits and can be right in the finish with the right run into the race.

APACHE BART (5) made an error last start leaving him ODM as a result. He trialled recently and was a good enough effort there to run second.

ESTER JEAN (8) is having her first run for a new stable. She was an impressive second three starts ago despite doing things wrong.

SELECTIONS: BELMER BETTY (4), LUSTRE (9), APACHE BART (5), ESTER JEAN (8)

SUGGESTED BET: BELMER BETTY (4) to win.

RACE 7

BATMAN BART (5) appeared to struggle last start when the speed went on but picked up well enough late and ran through the line fairly. He looks extremely well graded in this race and may look to get forward. If he doesn’t need to do too much work early he should be hard to beat.

THREE CHORD RIFF (1) returned well from a spell last start running second to Perfect Feeling at this track. She has moderate gate speed and might be able to dictate in the early stages. With improvement expected off her first up effort she should be competitive in a race of this nature.

MELTON SCHLEGER (3) ran well last start to finish fourth at Marburg behind Aunty Frances. If he can secure a good run in this race he should be running on again at the finish and isn’t far away from another win.

MARKSMAN (9) is having his first run for the stable of Ryan Vievers. He returns to QLD and looks to be in the right grade to figure somewhere in the finish.

SELECTIONS: BATMAN BART (5), THREE CHORD RIFF (1), MELTON SCHLEGER (3), MARKSMAN (9)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE 8

BOULDERS BEACH (3) didn’t show much gate speed in a recent trial at Albion Park before being pulled widest on the track late and running home powerfully. Looks a clear standout off that trial effort in what is only a moderate maiden field.

FRENCH BUBBLES (7) appeared to be looming into the race nicely last start before making a break at a crucial stage and tailing out. She had trialled well prior to resuming and looks to have drawn suitably in this race to follow out a horse that’s likely to be close enough.

GLENEAGLE FIRE (8) trialled moderately recently at Albion Park when not fully extended in the home straight. She is a half sibling to Gleneagle Vee Cee who has recorded 9 victories from 47 starts and shown good ability in his career to date.

SOMETHINGSRWICKED (1) sat without cover last start and battled on strongly there to be beaten just 2.7 metres behind Vincent Belle who had been knocking on the door for a maiden win for a number of starts. He draws well but doesn’t possess great gate speed which could be a query.

SELECTIONS: BOULDERS BEACH (3), FRENCH BUBBLES (7), GLENEAGLE FIRE (8), SOMETHINGSRWICKED (1)

SUGGESTED BET: GLENEAGLE FIRE (8) each way.
