Q2 Parklands track update – July 6

Racing Queensland has advised of the following rectification works at The Q following last night’s Brisbane Cup feature meeting.

The decision to postpone Saturday’s feature meeting was made after the Q2 Parklands track was deemed unsuitable for racing. 

The six feature races – including both the Group 1 Brisbane Cup and Queensland Cup – have been tentatively rescheduled to next Saturday, pending a subsequent track inspection.

At this time new fields will be drawn for the remainder of the intended card.  

On Monday, the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club will complete a refurbishment of the track which will be graded and power harrowed to a depth of 150mm. 

A final decision on whether the rescheduled meeting will proceed will be made after the refurbishments are completed including an independent assessment of the track.

A further release will be issued at that time.
