RACE 1

MISS BAY KING COLE (3) has good early speed and has been racing in very good form. Was able to score another win two starts ago when finding the front over the 2138 and leading all the way. May be able to find the front again and should be hard to beat.

BETTOR CULLECT (9) appeared unlucky when first up from a spell two starts ago before hitting the line strongly last start after securing a good run. She is likely to get shuffled back starting on the back row and can be running on again late.

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (1) has reasonable early speed and should be able to hold a prominent position in the early stages. He has been racing particularly well having strung together three second placings in his last three starts.

CHAMONIX (8) looked to run well last start when making up good late ground. He looks suited inside the back row getting a soft run in the race and if the gaps appear he can be running into the finish.

SELECTIONS: MISS BAY KING COLE (3), BETTOR CULLECT (9), MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (1), CHAMONIX (8)

SUGGESTED BET: MISS BAY KING COLE (3) to win.

RACE 2

ATTACHMENT (4) is a capable sit sprinter who was an impressive winner last after obtaining cover on the back of Major Hot and running him down late. He should be able to zip across early and may look to take cover on Dele Row.

DELE ROW (6) may look to push forward in the early stages of the race and look for the lead. He showed last time in he a quality horse scoring a number of wins over this journey including a FFA win over Turn It Up who has been the benchmark in QLD for a number of years and a win over Speak The Truth who has since run second in the Inter Dominion.

FACT FINDER (10) got back in the run last start behind In Excess and ran on strongly to not be beaten far. He looks likely to secure an economical trip in this race starting on the back row and a similar effort should see him run into the money.

HOT ROD HARRY (3) has moderate early speed and draws outside of a horse that’s not noted for having much early speed in Cosmic Flyer. If he can be first down to the pegs and obtain the trail on the favourite he should get every chance from there.

SELECTIONS: ATTACHMENT (4), DELE ROW (6), FACT DINER (10), HOT ROD HARRY (3)

SUGGESTED BET: HOT ROD HARRY (3) to place.

RACE 3

RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (9) should get a good run through at the start on the back of La Derniere. If she can work to the lead from there she would become the horse to beat. She was run down late last start by Ever Art after coming from off the speed there.

LA DERNIERE (2) has early speed and might be the first to find the pegs in the early stages. She can seemingly over race quite badly and that becomes a big query racing over the 2138 journey. She will have options once finding the pegs and may elect to take a trail on Rylee Rhayne Bow.

EVER ART (11) was an impressive winner last start when running over the top late to beat Rylee Rhayne Bow. She has drawn to the disadvantage of her key rival in Rylee Rhayne Bow in this race which appears to set her a difficult task. She will be hoping the speed is on early and she can be running on late.

REASON TO SHINE (1) ran well last start after coming from off the speed there to finish fifth. She looks likely to secure a good run in this race on the leaders back on 3 back on the fence. Either way she looks one of the better chances for the minor money.

SELECTIONS: RYLEE RHAYNE BOW (9), LA DERNIERE (2), VER ART (11), REASON TO SHINE (1)

SUGGESTED BET: REASON TO SHINE (1) to place.

RACE 4

FIRE AND PASSION (3) has been dominant so far as a 2YO having won 7 of his 9 starts. One of his two defeats came in the Protostar when he was badly checked in the early stages and was a complete forgive. This looks a race where he might be able to work to the lead in and if he does he will take plenty of beating.

FIGHT FOR VICTORY (9) was a narrow winner last start when being forced to the work in the heat of this series. He was luckless in the Protostar when badly checked early and appeared to run through the line powerfully late. He still seems to be a work in progress and looks likely to be a very good horse when he puts it all together.

TIMMYTEO (6) has good early speed and may look to press forward at the start and find a prominent position. He handed over to Fire And Passion in the heat and wasn’t beaten far there. He may elect to adopt similar tactics in this race.

JAMES ALFRED (1) comes into this race third up from a spell having run well his first two starts this time in. He drew wide last start and was doing his best work late. Draws ideally and should secure a good run.

SELECTIONS: FIRE AND PASSION (3), FIGHT FOR VICTORY (9), TIMMYTEO (6), JAMES ALFRED (1)

SUGGESTED BET: FIRE AND PASSION (3) to win.

RACE 5

COOL AND CLASSY (3) has been the standout QLD filly as a 2YO and continues to be the standout as a 3YO. She was second in the Oaks to Soho Americano when working to the lead mid race and just being run down late. She looked sharp in her heat when dashing away nicely to score. She has gate speed and if she leads she will take plenty of running down.

RUBY RULES (1) was narrowly defeated last start after showing gate speed to lead in the early stages. She draws well again and may look to take a trail on her classy stablemate Cool And Classy. She can seemingly get a bit keen in her races so being driven with a trail may see her best suited.

ARRIVE (4) has brilliant early speed and it will be a difficult decision early whether she looks to launch to the lead or not. If she elects to launch over and can’t get there her chances of winning would significantly diminish. She was an impressive win in the heat of this series over Ruby Rules.

HUNGER STRIKE (10) has been in very good form having scored 3 consecutive second placings her last 3 starts. She looks likely to secure a good run off the speed in this race and should be thereabouts the minor money.

SELECTIONS: COOL AND CLASSY (3), RUBY RULES (1), ARRIVE (4), HUNGER STRIKE (10)

SUGGESTED BET: COOL AND CLASSY (3) to win.

Slide6_53.png

RACE 6

OUR SWEET DELIGHT (4) was able to work to the lead last start and was just run down late by Sinabun. He has early speed and looks like he may be able to work to the lead again. He should be hard to beat given a likely favourable map.

SINABUN (3) found the lead early last start and handed over to Our Sweet Delight before running him down in the concluding stages. He isn’t a horse with much gate speed which may be somewhat of a query in this race. Should get a good run on the speed and be hard to beat.

UDDERLY SWEET (2) couldn’t quite run down French Fries last start after handing over to him in the early stages. He looks likely to be the first horse onto the pegs in this race and will likely look for cover again.

FRENCH FRIES (12) was able to work to the lead last start and turn the race into a dash home. He looks to have a difficult task in this race from the poor draw.

SELECTIONS: OUR SWEET DELIGHT (4), SINABUN (3), UDDERLY SWEET (2), FRENCH FRIES (12)

SUGGESTED BET: OUR SWEET DELIGHT (4) to win.

RACE 7

RIDE THE HIGHS (4) showed good early speed in the heat to find the lead and proved far too good for her rivals in what was a race with plenty of carnage. She should be able to work to the lead again in this race and should be very hard to beat.

RUBY RHAYNE BOW (8) draws poorly inside the back row in this race. She is seemingly to put it all together having impressed in the heat of the series closing best to score.

AMYLEE (11) sat without cover in a heat of this series and was narrowly beaten by Ruby Rhayne Bow who had the perfect run on her back. She draws poorly outside the back row and will need a lot to go her way to get into this race.

BEACHBABE CROCKER (10) was an impressive second last start when sitting without cover in a heat of this series and rating good enough time there. She draws poorly in this race and will need luck but she does seem to have quite good tactical speed which should help.

SELECTIONS: RIDE THE HIGHS (4), RUBY RHAYNE BOW (8), AMYLEE (11), BEACHBABE CROCKER (10)

SUGGESTED BET: BEACHBABE CROCKER (10) to place.

Slide8_48.png

RACE 8

FARROKH (9) as an impressive winner last start when just proving too strong late. This looks a similar type of race and he should be able to find a prominent position on speed. He seems to have improved each time he’s stepped out and may be peaking in this race.

MANIFEST THE BILLI (7) is a brother of superstar trotter Susan Is Her Name. He trialled up nicely before a good debut last start when hitting the line powerfully late to run fifth. Looks to have good ability and should be hard to hold out.

DOWN SOUTH DAISY (3) ran second to the likely favourite Farrokh in this race last start over the 2138 after securing an economical run in the race. She has early speed and should find a prominent position in the race.

BUSTER DAN (6) was third in a similar race to this one two starts ago. He didn’t have much luck from a stand start last time out and should be thereabouts the minor money.

SELECTIONS: FARROKH (9), MANIFEST THE BILLI (7), DOWN SOUTH DAISY (3), BUSTER DAN (6)

SUGGESTED BET: MANIFEST THE BILLI (7) each way.

RACE 9

MCGEE (8) was a very impressive second recently over this track and trip when racing outside the leader and just being run down late by Sheza Chance. He looks likely to work around and find a good position up on speed in this race.

NORTHERN HEIGHTS (5) has trialled up reasonably ahead of a return in this race. When he puts everything together in his races he is a horse with very good ability and clearly looks the biggest danger to McGee.

GETOVERROVER (4) was a winner two starts ago in a much easier race. He did face a 40 metre handicap there and meets these on equal terms off the mobile. This race looks a lot easier than his most recent outing in a race taken out by Love Gun.

YSMIR (2) has always been a trotter with good ability. She hasn’t been at her absolute best in recent starts but if she is able to bounce back to some of her better form she should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MCGEE (8), NORTHERN HEIGHTS (5), GETOVERROVER (4), YSMIR (2)

SUGGESTED BET: MCGEE (8) to win.

RACE 10

KICKING HORSE (2) has been the standout 2YO trotter so far this year having scored three victories from four starts. He made a break for the first time in his career last start having looked fairly safe prior to that in his races.

ICONIC IMAGE (1) has been impressive so far in QLD having scored back to back wins before a last start third after making an early break. Apart from the last start effort he had been stepping away fast from the stand starts and should be able to put himself in a good position early in this race.

FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (5) broke through to win in just his second start last time out. Should be better for the experience there and with further improvement having his third career start in this race should be hard to beat.

DESIRING DIAMONDS (7) wasn’t beaten far last start when running second. She did seemingly have her chance there but has shown ability and with further experience through her last start effort she should be thereabouts in this race.

SELECTIONS: KICKING HORSE (2), ICONIC IMAGE (1), FREDIDRIVSAMERCURY (5), DESIRING DIAMONDS (7)

SUGGESTED BET: KICKING HORSE (2) to win.
