Form Analysis: Redcliffe August 1

RACE 1 

MAHINDI (4) burned hard to lead early last start and ran along solid sectionals after that before just being run down late. She draws to advantage over a few of her main rivals in this race and could secure a good run up on speed. With a more economical trip she can be hard to beat in this race.

KERBANG (5) has been racing at his absolute best in recent times having scored a good win three starts ago leading all the way. He may be forced to do the work in this race having drawn poorly. 

ENGLISH DANCE (3) has good early speed and may look to utilise that in the early stages. He is a horse that has gone well leading previously and the way he is racing if he did find the front he would certainly become the horse to beat in this race.

BORSELLINO (9) was able to secure the perfect run last start three back the inside behind I Got Chills and ran into third there. Should secure a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on late.

RACE 2 

WEREGOINGTOGETCHA (2) had absolutely no luck last time out when badly held up at a crucial stage. She draws favourably in this race and should need a lot less luck. If she can secure a good run just off the speed she should be right in the finish.

GRACENAVA (1) worked extremely hard in a recent stand start at Marburg when attempting to repel the challenge of B Mac C. She did well to battle away for fourth there given the early work she had done and this race looks a lot easier.

ART OF ROCK (6) secured a good run last start and was able to run second there. Gets less favours this time from a poor draw but he does appear one of the better performed horses in the race so should still be thereabouts.

ROCK TIME (8) was an impressive winner recently at this track when flashing over the top when the gaps came. This looks tougher but it was a dominant win and he can be competitive again.

RACE 3

MISSTREPO (2) there is a big query on her gate speed in this race. She seems to be leaving the gate slowly in recent times and may not be able to hold a position early. If she finds the front in the race she becomes the horse to beat, if she doesn’t then it’s a race with a lot of chances.

ART ON FIRE (9) is first up from a spell in this race. Won a recent trial over Perfectly Quirky at this track. Has previously had success at this track and being saved up for one run at them should be hard to hold out.

ZACH LOWE (3) has early speed and may look to launch over to the lead in the early stages. He ran well last start leading and would likely become the horse to beat if he was able to lead.

SHEVCHENKO (1) drew poorly last start and was making up some ground in the concluding stages. Draws much better this time has good early speed and should get a good run.

RACE 4 

MIKIS JOE (1) has been racing reasonably and looks to strike another winnable race. He closed strongly last start after securing a good run behind Rolling Bonus. He should have options early in this race possessing early speed. He did win a few starts ago when taking cover at Albion park so has some versatility.

WATCHMEDAZZLE (6) ran a strong third recently at this track when running on behind dominant winner Fact Finder. He has brilliant early speed and would likely zip across if he looked to use that. 

GO THE RED (2) ran a good third last start in a much stronger race taken out by Beachride at Albion Park. Utilising a claim he gets back in grade here and draws favourably. If he can secure a good run he should be thereabouts.

MYNAMESEVAN (7) hasn’t seemingly been at his absolute best in recent outings. He should secure a good run in the race and can be thereabouts from the suitable draw.

RACE 5

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (3) this looks a race he might be able to launch to the front and look to lead all the way. He has good early speed and looks to be well graded in this race. His latest effort was solid when placing at this track. 

BEAU STEELE (9) looks well graded in this race a long way back in class from some of his better efforts. He placed in his two latest starts and should be thereabouts again in this race. He draws outside the back row which doesn’t look ideally suitable.

CONNIES SPIRIT (4) has good early speed and draws the front row in this race. She seems to go best when sat up for one run and probably just did too much early work last start behind Rainbow Titan. 

DANCIN DOLLY (6) was an impressive winner recent at this track when getting back in the run and powering over the top late to score. Draws poorly this time and will need the race run to suit.

RACE 6 

MISS SERENDIPIDTY (3) has plenty of early speed and used that to lead recently at this track before running along and just getting tired late. She draws well in this race and might be able to find the front. If she finds the front she should be hard to beat.

HEAVENS BABY (9) loomed into it strongly last start and appeared the winner turning for home but had sustained a long run and just got a touch tired over the concluding stages to run third. She lands in another suitable race and it appears a race where there may be some early tempo which would help.

THREENTWO (7) led last start after burning in the early stages and was just run down by Downtown Manhattan. She lands in a very suitable race here but doesn’t drawn favourably. She is a horse with plenty of gate speed and wont be able to utilise that drawn inside the back row.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (5) was. Recent winner at this track and trip when working away from the inside to score. He is well placed again in this type of grade and if the speed is on he can be running on late.

RACE 7

NITRATOR (8) has been racing well in recent starts and appears to be closing in strongly on a maiden victory. This draw looks quite suitable on the back row doing no work in the early stages. Should be hard to beat.

MULLUM JUDITH (3) was a narrow second last start at this track behind Wicked Ark after starting on the back row. She gets back onto the front row in this race and showed good early speed two runs ago before restraining out of the early speed battle. This time she may look to push forward find the front and should be hard to catch if she does.

IM BUSTED (5) trialled up nicely behind Kelloshiel recently at this track. They didn’t rate fast overall time but visually it was an extremely sharp effort for a maiden. Didn’t show much early speed in the trial so off that effort is likely to get back and be running on late again.

THEFAULTINMYSTARS (7) showed ability in his first preparation. His first career start he was beaten 9 metres by King Bling after a tough run in the race. He may have had enough by the end of the campaign and did a few things wrong.

RACE 8

BEYOND DOUBT (6) is a kiwi having his first start in QLD. He looked to have decent ability in NZ and strikes a winnable race first up here. He draws poorly and will need luck but looks up to these.

BRONX (5) has good early speed and may look to use that to hold the advantage on one of his key rivals in this race Beyond Doubt. He took on a much stronger race last start at Albion Park taken out by Dragon and will find this a lot easier.

TEAM SPORT (3) flashed into second behind Fly Burra last start and appeared a near certainty beat having been held up for a good portion of the home straight. He draws well in this race and should be thereabouts again.

JOHN SNOW (2) went around in the market on numerous occasions last time in and was only able to record the one victory. He returns in this race for a new stable and looks a good chance of finishing in the money.
