Form Analysis: Redcliffe August 15

RACE 1 

BEACHRIDE (8) burned hard to hold the lead in the early stages last start in a race taken out by Major Hot. He got tired late but was entitled to there having run such a fast lead time and they didn’t come up for air at any stage. He should be running on well late. 

IN EXCESS (5) draws to advantage over his main rival in this race in Beachride. He has been racing well and was a good recent winner over the 1660 at Albion Park leading all the way. He does draw outside of a few gate speed horses which may see him working in the early stages. 

DRAGON (7) took on a stand start last start and ran a good fourth there in fast time. He drops back in grade into this race but does draw inside the back row which appears to make things tricky for him. 

NURBURGRINNG (9) sat without cover last start and wasn’t beaten too far. Should get a good run in the race and can be running into it late.

RACE 2 

ROLLING BONUS (1) took on a race where they ran fast time for the grade taken out by Cote Dazur in an impressive effort. He was well beaten there but draws to lead in this race and should be hard to beat if able to control the tempo in the early stages. 

DOO DONT THINK (7) ran well enough last start leading and finishing third after setting a genuine tempo. Should get a good run through in the early stages on the back of Rolling Bonus and can take the last shot at them up the sprint lane. 

ALTA SENSATION (3) took on a stronger race last start taken out by Coney Island Lou over the 1660 at Albion Park. He should be better for that outing and is likely to be suited in this race if there is a genuine early tempo. 

OUR ULTIMATE JESSY (2) was able to sneak in behind Marvellous Mac last start and ran a competitive second there not beaten far. She is racing well and from another good draw should be thereabouts in this race.

RACE 3

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (1) has very good gate speed and should be able to lead from the inside in this race. She led last start and rated good time when finishing a close up second to Whykikamoocow. Looks likely to get every chance again.

ILLBEWATCHING (7) was a dominant recent winner at this track over the 2040. He looks likely to get a good run through in the early stages following a gate speed horse in this race. 

SHARP AS CAMM BE (6) returns in this race having not run for nearly a month in this race. She ran on strongly three starts ago to score at this track and may look to do similar in this race from the wide draw.

LAST CALL (9) has options in the early stages and may be able to sneak onto the pegs in this race. She seems to be best suited when driven quietly and saved for one run at them late which she may get the opportunity to do again in this race.

RACE 4 

OUR ULTIMATE STORMY (2) has good early speed and was able to find the front last start before holding them off late to score. She looks to have landed in another race she can lead which should see her get every chance. The query may be the step up to the middle trip when she can seemingly get a bit keen in her races.

REDS STAR DEAL (1) hit the line reasonably well last start. He looks likely to secure a good run in this race up on speed and should be running on late if the gaps appear at the right time.

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (8) sat without cover two starts ago which he probably isn’t ideally suited to and battled away well enough. He then got back in the run last start and ran on well behind Marvellous Mac in a race that didn’t suit horses running on.

BETTING JEWEL (5) two starts ago sat without cover and proved too good there. She was then forced to do the work again last start and battled away well to not be beaten far.

RACE 5

TOUGH FIGHTER (6) was a dominant winner two starts ago at this track when leading all the way over Victree Charlie. He then took on a much stronger race last start. He drops right back in grade here and should be hard to beat.

ROLLONX (1) ran well two starts ago following the speed at Albion Park in a race won by Pocket Book. He has a very good record when finding himself out in front which is a position he may be able to find in this race. Should be hard to run down. 

EMMALEEN (2) looks likely to secure a good run from the good draw in this race despite not being a horse blessed with great gate speed. She ran on well last start behind The Missing Sock. 

MAYWYNS KAREN (4) ran on strongly last start behind Feelin Flirty in what was a much improved effort. She should get a good run off the speed again in this race and should be running on late.

RACE 6 

EBONY BELLE (1) has good early speed and put in one of her career best runs a few starts ago when leading before making a late break and wasn’t beaten too far. She has very good early speed and should be able to run a good race again.

MISS SERENDIPITY (7) looks likely to secure a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse. She led two starts ago and was only run down late in that race after setting a genuine tempo. Should get every chance. 

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (8) was a strong winner four starts ago and hasn’t had a huge amount of luck in recent outings in what have been tougher races. He seems to go well in this grade and should be very hard to hold out late. 

LETS GET SHORTY (5) was a winner three starts ago when first up for the new stable. His two runs since that win have been good enough to suggest he can be thereabouts in a race of this nature.

RACE 7

BOSTON ASSASSIN (6) impressed last start when appearing to put everything together flashing into second late. He looks to be dropping into a much easier maiden in this race and should be hard to hold out late. 

OUR AUNTY PENNY (5) ran well last start behind Nitrator who rated good time. She draws to advantage over her main rival in this race and is likely to look to hold that advantage in the early stages. Looks hard to beat. 

SASSABA (4) was on debut last start in a race taken out by Nitrator where he hit the line well late. Should be better for the experience on debut and can be running on again.

PICCOLO DIAVOLO (2) was shuffled back in the race two starts ago before hitting the line well late there. Should secure a good run again in this race from a low draw.
