Form Analysis: Redcliffe August 27

RACE 1 

ULTIMATE ARK (8) ran on strongly last start in the consolation of the Qbred Triad for the 3YO colts and geldings. He appears to be dropping significantly in grade in this race and draws a favourable gate where it looks like he should be close enough in the run. He looks hardest to beat. 

MAJOR LINCOLN (1) worked hard last start to lead over the 2040 at Redcliffe and tired late but was entitled to given how tough a run he’d had. He should get an easier lead in this race and should be hard to catch. 

OCTOBER RACKETEER (7) looks likely to secure a good run through at the start on the back of a gate speed horse in Major Lincoln. He was luckless last time out when caught wide after starting from a wide gate. Should get every chance. 

RAINBOWSEND (9) appears well graded in this race off some of her better efforts. She is first up from a spell following a good trial at this track when second behind Boston Bronski. Looks likely to be ready to go first up.

RACE 2 

GREAT ACHIEVER (4) was a very impressive winner at this track last start when running on over the top and opening up a big margin on his rivals late. He steps up in grade into this race but having run fast time last start he is likely to be hard to beat again however it plays out early. 

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (2) has good early speed and may look to press forward at the start and find a prominent position in the run. He hit the line strongly last start behind Reds Ablaze at Albion Park.

SWEET OPTIONS (9) was running on behind dominant winner Great Achiever last start into the placings. She looks to have a tough task turning the tables on Great Achiever but should be running on well into the money again. 

B MAC C (10) was a dominant winner two starts ago when zipping across early and leading all the way. He has been able to run on from a long way back over this track and trip and would be suited by a solid early tempo.

RACE 3

MAHINDI (3) doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but might be able to drive through and find the lead. She was left without cover last start at this track and battled on for a good fourth behind My Ultimate Cossie. Should be hard to beat if she can lead.

ASHLEE NITRO (1) has early speed but isn’t generally best suited when used out the gate to hold a position. She worked hard early last start and was well beaten as a result over the 2040 journey. If she can secure a more economical run early in this race she is likely to be more competitive.

JIVE MASTER (5) got a long way back and was running on well late in the consolation of the Qbred Triad 3YO colts and geldings. He has early speed but draws outside of a few horses with good early speed. 

HAPPY AS CAN BE (9) was finishing off strong behind Ultimate Miki last start at Redcliffe in what was quite a strong restricted wins race. This looks easier and he appears to draw well on the back row.

RACE 4 

ONE CHAIN ROAD (1) has early speed and a good draw which gives him options in the early stages. He led last start in an easier race and was able to score narrowly over Shadys Delight. He should get every chance from the good draw. 

WELL SAID NUGGET (6) hasn’t had a great deal of luck in recent outings when drawing poorly on a number of occasions. He Drops back in grade and looks one of the class runners in this field. Despite the outside draw he should be hard to hold out late. 

BOKHARI (7) was a good all the way winner last start over the 2040. She draws awkwardly inside the back row this time and will need luck at the right time to figure. 

ART OF ROCK (5) sat outside the leader two starts ago and battled on well for second given that’s not a position he has previously been suited to in his races. He looks well graded and should be thereabouts again.

RACE 5

MAYWYNS KAREN (5) has been taking on slightly stronger races in recent outings and appears better suited in this company. She has good early speed and may look to pressure forward at the start although she has shown versatility having run on well from the back this time in.

EMMALEEN (6) faces a tough draw in this race given her racing pattern is to get back and run on in her races. She wasn’t suited last start in what became a dash home after being shuffled back in the run. 

BETTING BARON (9) is a horse that seems to do his best work when able to race up on speed a position which he might be able to find in this race. He steps back to the 1780 after doing the work in a stronger race this track over the 2040.

COPY WRITER (7) draws awkwardly in this race inside the back row. She is seemingly a mare that is speedier than she is tough so if the gaps appear she could be running into the finish.

RACE 6 

ITS A PLEASURE (2) has taken on much stronger company in recent outings including finishing down the track behind smart mare Miss Idaho at Albion Park in fast time. She has excellent early speed and may press forward and look for a prominent position in this race. Should be hard to hold out late.

EYE SEE THESEASIDE (5) was able to score last start in a strong race at Albion Park over La Miki who would likely be a short priced favourite in this race. She has seemingly been improving each time she steps out and with further improvement into this race she should be hard to beat.

TWEEDY (1) has good early speed and the perfect draw to find the lead early before having options from there. She worked hard last start to get across to the lead and just got tired late to run third. She is likely to have benefited form that outing and can prove hard to beat from a better draw this time.

SEA FURY (4) is dropping in class in this race on some of his better efforts. He has good early speed but does find a race where there are a few with good speed drawn underneath him.

RACE 7

WICKED ARK (6) scored a good win three starts ago when sweeping home over the top late to score a good win in what was a solid maiden field. He took on the 2YO Colts and Geldings Consolation last start which was taken out by Mighty Crunch and ran well for third in what was a good effort. He should be hard to hold out late.

GLENEAGLE RULER (3) has good early speed and might be able to zip across in the early stages of this race which could prove key to his chances. Ran second four and five starts ago and a similar effort to those placings would see him competitive in this race.

SWIFTIE (5) was left without cover two starts ago which is a position she doesn’t appear suited to when beaten by Cheddar Made Beta who has since won again. She is likely to get back from the wide gate and can be running into it late. 

WEE BONNIE (4) was well beaten in a much stronger race last start. She may press forward at the start and look for a position up on speed.

RACE 8

EBONY BELLE (3) appears to be working towards another win. She ran well last start when leading over the 2040 at this track and just being run down late by Miss Serendipity who had the soft run on her back. She steps back to the 1780 which appears suitable and looks hard to catch.

GOTTA DREAM (8) got shuffled back on the pegs last start after starting inside the back row at this track. Should get a good run through at the start and if the speed is on he can be running into it late. 

TACKAS LAST DANCE (9) is back in grade in this race off some of her better efforts. She was a solid third three starts ago behind Galvarino in a stronger race. Can be running on late if the speed is on early.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (5) has good early speed but appears to draw awkwardly wide on the track in this race and might be forced a long way back in the early stages. Scored a good win four starts ago at this track when finishing best to beat Threentwo.

RACE 9

LOSTANDFOUND (2) took on a much stronger race last start which was taken out by Mighty Crunch at Albion Park. He battled away well to not be beaten far after racing off the pegs. He has good gate speed and looks the likely leader in this race and should be hard to catch. 

LUCKY LUDA (7) has seemingly been a touch disappointing so far in her short career having gone around an odds-on favourite three times already in just seven starts and hasn’t been able to break maiden status. She draws to have options in this race and is likely to be running into it late. 

MULLUM JUDITH (6) led last start at this track and was beaten by Just Incredible when running third. She draws the widest gate this time which is likely to make it tough for her in this race. Will need to do work at some stage.

AUNTY TINY (4) was well beaten last start albeit in what was probably a stronger race taking on smart 2YO Just Incredible. She will need things to go her way in the run but if she does secure an economical run she can finish somewhere in the minor money.
