Form Analysis: Redcliffe August 3

RACE 1 

ARTISTIC SAINT (2) flashed into second last start behind dominant winner Mister Reactor in a stand start they run fast time. He has good early speed and should find the front early in this race. If he can control things he should be hard to catch. 

LAST CALL (3) showed early speed last start and secured a good run before finishing seventh behind Merry Jewel. She should secure a good run from the low gate. 

DREAM MELODY (6) draws poorly in this race outside the front row. She is best known to be a sit sprinter and may need to work from this draw which doesn’t suit ideally. If she can secure the right run she can figure. 

MISS SYRAH (7) appears to have drawn well in this race inside the back row doing no work early. She has good high speed and should be running on late if the gaps appear.

RACE 2 

ROYAL WINKLE (10) put in a better run last start at Marburg when sitting outside the leader and battling away well for second. Sitting without cover isn’t generally his ideal pattern and he is usually best when saved up for one run driven with cover which he may get the opportunity to do in this race. 

GRACENAVA (6) took on a stand start at Marburg last start in what was a much stronger race taken out by Mister Reactor. She did well to run fourth after the mid race speed battle and looks well placed in this company.

TODAYS HERO (1) has good early speed and should be able to drive through and lead before having options. Was taken on last start when leading and battled away quite well for third there at Marburg.

VERMONT (7) should get a good run through on the back of Todays Hero and shouldn’t be too far away in the run. She ran a better race last start after getting a long way back in the run early.

RACE 3

GOTTA DREAM (3) has good early speed and might have the speed to find the lead in the early stages. He draws the best of the main chances and if he’s able to hold the advantage he should be hard to beat in this race.

FLY BURRA (9) was running on strongly last start at Marburg and was able to score there beating Team Sport. Draws poorly again in this race on the back row and will need to be running on late. 

DANCIN DOLLY (10) was a dominant recent winner at this track when being suited by a good early tempo ran over the top to score. Will be hoping the tempo is on again early and can be running on again late. 

THE MISSING SOCK (6) ran a good race when leading behind Grigora last start. He is unlikely to be able to lead this time which appears to set him a much tougher task.

RACE 4 

THE BLUE WREN (9) was able to zip across and lead last start before taking a sit on Tracer Bullet. Didn’t have the best of luck after that when held up at a crucial stage with the horse she was following tiring. Should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be hard to hold out.

SIGNOR JUJON (4) sat without cover last start at Marburg and battled on reasonably for second. He seems to be a horse better suited with cover and if he can obtain a trail in this race he should be hard to beat.

COPY WRITER (6) ran on well last start from back in the field behind Outer Change. Should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on again.

HOIHO (5) did things wrong last start at this track and was well beaten as a result. He looks very well graded in this race and should be hard to beat however it pans out early.

RACE 5

MY ULTIMATE LOUIE (6) can look to push forward at the start and race up on speed. He is well graded dropping back in this company and despite the widest draw looks a clear standout in this race. 

THREE MACHS (9) is a capable sit sprinter and should be suited from the draw doing no work in the early stages. It appears a race that could generate a reasonable early tempo with a few horses vying for the lead early which would suit her.

THREE CHORD RIFF (4) was a good second three starts ago when first up from a spell. Should be nearing peak fitness in this race coming into it fourth up from a spell. Can secure a good run in this race and should be hard to hold out.

MAMMALS DESTINY (3) ran a much improved race last start when going around at Marburg from a good draw. Doesn’t have much early speed which might see her shuffled.

RACE 6 

TAKEN BY SURPRISE (3) has good early speed and this looks a race she can find the front in. She worked hard to lead two starts ago and was just run down late by Eating In Chicago. Started from a wide gate last start and sat in the breeze last start at Marburg battling on well for second. 

VEESIGN (4) was heavily backed last start and put in a huge run there when wide most of the journey battling on well for an impressive third placing. He lands in another suitable race and should be better for the outing last start. 

FUNTIMES (1) has the good draw in this race and should be close enough to the speed. Ran well two starts ago to finish in the placings after securing a good run in the race. 

SURPRISE BABY (8) trialled fairly recently in what appeared a strong trial.

SUGGESTED BET: VEESIGN (4) to win.

RACE 7

STONES (3) has early speed and might be able to work across to the lead in this race. Battled on well for third two starts ago at Albion Park behind Oh Hereshe Comes after racing off the speed in that race. Had no luck last start at Marburg when held up at a crucial stage.

MILLIONDOLLARMARTY (6) found the front last start mid race and battled away fairly there. Could be better suited in this company appearing to have landed in a much more suitable race.

GLENEAGLE HUNTER (4) has some early speed and could push forward in the race and find a position up on speed. He had previously looked close to a maiden win but just hasn’t appeared to be at his absolute best in recent times.

THATS OUR BOY (8) trialled just fairly and looks likely to be tested in this race. If he can improve off recent trials he could be somewhere in the money.
