RACE 1

IDEAL PURSUIT (1) made a mistake last start which proved costly and likely cost her the race given how close he was able to get despite that early mistake. She appears to have very good early speed and should be able to hold the lead early.

LOUMINATE (2) looks likely to secure a good run behind the likely leader in Ideal Pursuit. She was good on debut when running on nicely late to get into third. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that outing.

IMPERMISSIBLE (4) appeared to trial just fairly recently at Albion Park. She was dragged out of it at a crucial stage and held ground to the line late. Put in two good efforts to start her career before not having much luck last start.

SAINT MAHARG (7) secured a good run last start and was able to run into a close up third. Faces a wide draw in this race which is likely to make it tough for him and he will need the race run to suit to get into it late.

SELECTIONS: IDEAL PURSUIT (1), LOUMINATE (2), IMPERMISSIBLE (4), SAINT MAHARG (7)

SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL PURSUIT (1) to win.

RACE 2

DAIMYO (5) was able to run into it strongly last start behind Good Heart who was able to put up a margin on the field before Daimyo was presented into the clear and ran into second. He should be close enough with a safe getaway facing just a 10 metre handicap in this race.

VOLTAIN (3) was a good second two starts ago when running into second. She then did things wrong last start and was out of contention early in this race. Needs to begin safely this time and she looks one of the contenders.

WHIRLWIND WILBUR (1) stepped well last start before obtaining the trail on Daimyo before finishing off best to score. He is well handicapped again and with a safe beginning can find a prominent position in this race.

GRACIAS (8) wasn’t at her best last start when comprehensively beaten on return from a spell. She is likely to have derived benefit from that run and they did go hard early there which may not have suited first up from a spell.

SELECTIONS: DAIMYO (5), VOLTAIN (3), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (1), GRACIAS (8)

SUGGESTED BET: DAIMYO (5) to win.

RACE 3

ALTA SENSATION (1) put in a good effort recently when running third in track record time behind Hot And Treacherous. He stepped away quickly from the stand start to repel early challengers before taking the sit on the eventual winner and battling away for a good third late.

FREE THINKER (6) is a good beginner from the stand start and has had success previously including having won a Redcliffe Cup and run second in the Flashing Red. He was well beaten into fifth last start in track record time but was forced to do the work.

MIRACLE MOOSE (7) four starts ago was able to run into third closing off strongly late after starting from a wide gate. He should be able to secure a good run in this race if he is able to step away cleanly which he hasn’t his last two starts.

ROCK SUPREME (5) ran a good second three starts ago behind Credulous when running on strongly late into second. He ran poorly last start when finding the front and fading into seventh late. He can bounce back in this race.

SELECTIONS: ALTA SENSATION (1), FREE THINKER (6), MIRACLE MOOSE (7), ROCK SUPREME (5)

SUGGESTED BET: ALTA SENSATION (1) to win.

RACE 4

TIGER BAND WAGON (6) worked hard to lead recently and was able to score there over Major Jellis who he comes up against again in this race. Given he worked to the lead in a similar race to this one recently from a wide gate he should be able to press forward again before working to the front and looking to lead all the way.

MAJOR JELLIS (2) has good early speed and should be able to work across to the pegs and will have options from there. He recently contested a similar race to this one and elected to take the trail on Tiger Band Wagon which he may look to do again.

ROLL UP (7) ran a strong third last start behind Tiger Band Wagon who he takes on again in this race. He faces a wide draw again but should appreciate a likely strong tempo and can be running into it again late.

CONGO LINE (3) was able to run a strong second to Sinabun on Saturday at Albion Park in fast time. This race looks easier and he draws a low gate in this race which should allow him to be close enough in the small field.

SELECTIONS: TIGER BAND WAGON (6), MAJOR JELLIS (2), ROLL UP (7), CONGO LINE (3)

SUGGESTED BET: TIGER BAND WAGON (6) to win.

RACE 5

MCGEE (11) appears well handicapped in this race coming off just 10 metres. He was able to win two races in a row recently and has since run a good third when doing the work outside the leader. He has versatility and should be hard to beat.

IZARRA (10) was able to step well recently off the front and lead all the way when beaten Son of A Sun and Hammer Son. She faces a 10 metre handicap this time which is likely to see her needing a fast getaway to maintain the advantage on key rival Mcgee in this race.

SHEZA CHANCE (6) was able to score a good win last start before Izarra and McGee who she takes on again in this race. She draws the front line but does draw widest and will need a clear fast getaway to make the most of that early advantage.

HAMMER SON (3) usually steps quickly from the stand start and has drawn low enough in this race to be able to look for the early lead before having options. He can be thereabouts with the right run.

SELECTIONS: MCGEE (11), IZARRA (10), SHEZA CHANCE (6), HAMMER SON (3)

SUGGESTED BET: MCGEE (11) to win.

RACE 6

MACS A DUDE (2) did a lot of work in a quick third quarter when well beaten three starts ago over the 2040 at Redcliffe. He has good speed and appears to have found a race he might be able to work to the front in and off recent efforts should prove hard to catch.

TACTICAL ILLUSION (7) was following a very strong tempo for the grade behind Sporty Zara and Bettors Moon where she was able to battle away for fourth. She is likely to get a long way back from a wide gate and will be running on late.

MADAM WEST (9) seems to like racing over the middle distance having won and placed at the trip a number of times. She should get a good run through early and if the race is run to suit expect her to be running into it late.

LA BOMBA (3) has impressed since returning from a spell for a new stable having scored two wins from three starts. She may be forced to do work in this race which could leave her vulnerable late.

SELECTIONS: MACS A DUDE (2), ACTICAL ILLUSION (7), MADAM WEST (9), LA BOMBA (3)

SUGGESTED BET: MACS A DUDE (2) to win.

RACE 7

EAGLESPRIDE (3) scored what looked an unlikely victory at the 400 metre mark when he was still a considerable distance from the leaders and was able to sprint impressively to score over Reds Ablaze. He should get another good run off the speed in this race and is going to be hard to hold out again.

JENSVILLE (2) should be able to work to the front in this race. Her latest win came when working to the lead over the 1660 three starts ago and leading all the way beating Tremendous Sensation. She has since run well and the 2138 should pose no concern.

BONNIES CAM (1) showed gate speed last start before handing over in the early stages to Botticelli and was able to battle on for third there. He is usually better suiting racing over the mile and steps back up to the 2138 in this race which poses somewhat of a query.

COTE DAZUR (8) should get a good run through in the early stages of this race. He hasn’t had the best of luck in recent starts when badly held up at crucial stages in his races. He should secure an economical run and can be in the finish with luck in running.

SELECTIONS: EAGLESPRIDE (3), JENSVILLE (2), BONNIES CAM (1), COTE DAZUR (8)

SUGGESTED BET: EAGLESPRIDE (3) to win.

RACE 8

SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1) should be able to hold the lead in the early stages of this race and will likely look to take them all the way. He showed gate speed two starts ago and wasn’t able to lead but battled on for a very strong fourth after doing all the work in a race they went quickly early. Should be hard to run down.

SNIP OF BEAUTY (8) draws to get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse. She has been racing well including running a good second behind La Bomba recently when securing a similar run to the one she is likely to get in this race over this track and trip.

BLING THE NOISE (7) returns in this race following a long spell and draws widest which is likely to see him needing to be nearly spot on first up to win. If he is ready to go first up he can be hard to beat in this race.

JOHN SNOW (10) ran a good second two starts ago when making up good late ground after securing a soft run in the race on the fence. This race looks a touch easier but he does draw outside the back row.

SELECTIONS: SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1), SNIP OF BEAUTY (8), BLING THE NOISE (7), JOHN SNOW (10)

SUGGESTED BET: SO BOBS YOUR UNCLE (1) to win.
