Form Analysis: Marburg September 14

RACE 1 

KEAYANG MOSCATO (4) was luckless last start when taken on by Jive Master who went on to tire and drag her out of the race. She looks likely to be able to work across to the lead in this race and from there should prove very hard to beat dropping right back in class into this restricted wins race. 

TRAVELNFEELIN (8) has taken on better races his last two starts including last start when well beaten by Beyond Doubt at Redcliffe. Appears to draw awkwardly but does clearly bring in some of the better form into this race and should be thereabouts with the right run.

RISSOLES (9) doesn’t appear to have returned well from a spell having been tailed off last start and placed on a last chance to race competitively. His best is certainly good enough to be competitive in a race of this nature. 

ELIARN (7) was well beaten in a stronger race last start. Will find this a lot easier and was able to place at this track two runs ago.

SUGGESTED BET: TRAVELNFEELIN (8) to place.

RACE 2 

KING ROCKY (4) trialled well enough for a maiden just behind Keg On Legs who was well backed on debut at Redcliffe and was a good second. He didn’t show a great deal of gate speed in that trial having started from the inside draw so there looks to be some query on where he lands in the run from the slightly awkward draw.

HEEZ OUR PLAYBOY (8) ran on strongly to just go down to Saychelles at this track recently. He appears likely to secure a reasonable run off the speed in this race in what looks to be just a moderate maiden. 

FUNTIMES (7) started a short priced favourite at this track recently when finishing a well beaten third. She then led at Albion Park and was well beaten again in what was a slightly stronger race. 

ON THE RANK (2) has shown some ability and appears to draw well in this race. Took on a stronger maiden last start and was well beaten but should find this a lot easier.

SUGGESTED BET: KING ROCKY (4) to win.

RACE 3

SINGER SNAP (1) has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in this race. Appears to land in a much more suitable contest here at a track where she has had success previously. Looks hardest to beat from the good draw. 

DOOLITTLE DAYS (6) scored her latest win at this track when leading them up and has since run well on the pegs at this track. She finds another race where she lands straight on the pegs and should get a great run behind Singer Snap.

DOC HARVEY (5) has been racing in stronger company than this but faces a tough draw. Was able to run into third after securing a good run at Albion Park in a race taken out by Estival.

CRIME TIME (8) was forced to do the work last start and wasn’t beaten for by Estival. He looks to land in a similar race but does draw awkwardly for a horse that likes to race up on speed.

SUGGESTED BET: SINGER SNAP (1) to win.

RACE 4 

HIGHWAY WRITER (2) showed speed to get in behind the leader last start and was able to finish off nicely at this track to get into second after being held up at a crucial stage. He looks likely to find a prominent position again in this race from a good draw and can run well. 

GOTTA DREAM (5) looks the class runner in the race but has drawn poorly widest on the track. He ran a good second three starts ago after being forced to do the work outside the leader which isn’t generally a position he is suited. 

ROCCO VARIETY (7) ran into second in a slightly easier race at Redcliffe four starts ago. He looks likely to secure a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be getting into it late.

STONES (8) ran into a solid fourth last start behind Mister Delwin in what appeared a much stronger race. He then took on a stronger race at Albion Park and was well beaten but will appreciate the step back in trip and class in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: HIGHWAY WRITER (2) to win.

RACE 5

OCTOBER RACKETEER (4) has good early speed and appears to find a suitable race where he might be able to launch across in the early stages. He hasn’t had a great deal of luck in recent outings and appears to strike a weaker race. 

ROYAL PRINCESS (5) is fourth up from a spell in this race and should be nearing peak fitness. She was forced to do the work outside the leader last start and was well beaten but has never seemingly been a horse that’s suited to doing that much work. Looks one of the top chances.

FILLY THIRTEEN (9) brings some of the better form into this race which is offset by the poor draw. She has good speed and should be able to run into it late if the tempo suits.

WRITE ABOUT ANGUS (1) has drawn well in this race and may be able to improve his numerical form.

SUGGESTED BET: OCTOBER RACKETEER (4) to win.

RACE 6 

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (1) doesn’t generally get driven out at the start and is seemingly a better horse driven with cover. He did have decent gate speed earlier in his career and having drawn the inside at Marburg he may elect to drive through and hold a position.

ROYAL WINKLE (8) has been out of form for some time. He has previously raced well at this track and appears to land in the right type of company.

LULU LUCIFER (9) was a runner up three starts ago when closing off well. Appears likely to be relying on a genuine early tempo to bring her into this race. 

TEACHERS PET (4) hasn’t quite hit top form since returning from a spell. She comes into this race fourth up and is likely to be nearing peak fitness.

SUGGESTED BET: CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (1) to win.

RACE 7

BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (3) his latest win came at this track when sitting without cover and proving too good. He looks to have found another race where he should position up close to the speed and should be thereabouts again.

TAYLORS FOUR (7) was forced to do the work last start at Albion Park and battled on well for fifth. She ran well her start prior when battling on nicely for third.

CONVINCED (6) was involved in a very fast tempo set recently at Marburg and was well beaten but was entitled to be given the early tempo 

CHEDDAR MADE BETA (1) has good gate speed and will have options early in this. He is likely to find this a touch tougher than some of his most recent outings.
