RACE 1

GRIGORA (1) has not had much luck when it’s come to draws in recent starts and he has done much better in this race landing the inside draw. He has enough gate speed to dictate early whether he holds the lead or looks to hand over and should get a good run either way. He scored a good win five starts ago when closing best to score there and a similar effort would see him competitive in this race.

LITTLELIONELJAMES (7) over raced badly last start when doing well to hang on for third. He ran a good race behind the in form English Dance his start prior when being left without cover in that race. Should secure a good run in this race just off the speed and with luck should figure in the finish.

REDS STAR DEAL (4) worked to the lead last start and proved a dominant winner when taking them all the way which backed up a similar win three starts ago when leading all the way. He draws awkwardly in this race in gate 4 and may need a few things to go his way to win again.

MY ULTIMATE FELIX (2) has moderate gate speed and may be able to drive through and work to the lead in this race with the aid of a low draw at the 2040 start point. He was able to work to the lead two starts ago at this trip and proved too good there when leading all the way.

SELECTIONS: GRIGORA (1), LITTLELIONELJAMES (7), REDS STAR DEAL (4), MY ULTIMATE FELIX (2)

SUGGESTED BET: GRIGORA (1) to win.

RACE 2

FAVREAU (9) returns from a spell in this race having had an issue in his latest run which saw him stood down to trial. He trialled nicely scoring over the much higher assessed Watchmedazzle. He appears well graded in this race and looks the one to beat despite the outside back row draw.

ONE CHAIN ROAD (2) has returned well from a spell with two placings in three starts including a solid last start second after leading. He draws well in this race outside of a horse that is generally driven with cover and may be able to work to the lead.

FLY BURRA (4) ran a good second last start to My Ultimate Felix which looks good form for a race of this nature. He may not have the gate speed to cross to the lead early which may make this draw a touch awkward. Should be running on late if the race is run to suit.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (1) is generally driven with a sit where possible and that is how he was driven five starts ago when able to score after sitting on the leaders back in the run.

SELECTIONS: FAVREAU (9), ONE CHAIN ROAD (2), FLY BURRA (4), DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (1)

SUGGESTED BET: FAVREAU (9) to win.

RACE 3

ILLBEWATCHING (1) was a dominant winner four starts ago when leading all the way in fast time for the grade at this track over the 2040. He draws the inside gate this time and may have the speed to drive through and lead. Should be hard to run down.

WEREGOINGTOGETCHA (3) was impressive two starts ago when taking on a strong race and running a good third. She then had an issue last start and was stood down to trial where she appeared to travel nicely throughout.

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (8) took on a much stronger race at Albion Park where she wasn’t beaten far in a 1.52 mile rate. She appears to draw a gate where she won’t need to do too much early work and should be running on late.

ART OF ROCK (9) wasn’t suited last start when being forced to do the work in the race outside the leader over the 2040 journey. Looks likely to secure a more economical run  in this race off the speed and should be running on late.

SELECTIONS: ILLBEWATCHING (1), WEREGOINGTOGETCHA (3), SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (8), ART OF ROCK (9)

SUGGESTED BET: ILLBEWATCHING (1) to win.

RACE 4

ULTIMATE MIKI (2) has early speed and a low draw at the 2040 start point which is always a big advantage. He was a dominant winner last start in a slightly easier race and if he is able to work to the lead again he should be hard to beat.

GO THE RED (3) did work three starts ago in a strong race where he was running on well and wasn’t beaten far by Hold Onto Ya Bling who had an equally soft trip in the run. Should be able to work forward in this to race in a prominent position and be thereabouts again.

PUMPKIN PAT (5) has excellent gate speed which allowed her to find the front and lead all the way at Albion Park in decent time two starts ago. The wide draw in this race looks a touch awkward but if she was able to launch across and find the pegs she would be right in the finish.

SERGIOS ROCKET (6) scored a good win last start over in form La Derniere and Cheer Leader who are both classy mares. She draws widest this time which is likely to see her faced with a tougher task and she will need the race run to suit.

SELECTIONS: ULTIMATE MIKI (2), GO THE RED (3), PUMPKIN PAT (5), SERGIOS ROCKET (6)

SUGGESTED BET: GO THE RED (3) to place.

RACE 5

CONVAIR HUSTLER (5) was a good second placing two runs ago at this track when sitting without cover behind Tracer Bullet who has since run well again. He has gate speed and may look to press forward early and find a prominent position.

IMPERIOUS (8) appeared to have every chance last start when landing the perfect run at Marburg in what appeared an easier race and wasn’t able to figure in the placings. He will need to have improved off that effort to be a winning hope in this race but he may be better for that run last start given it was his first outing for the new stable.

FOR NO REASON (6) comes into this race third up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness. She draws the widest gate but is a horse that has previously shown she can do work in this sort of grade and still be thereabouts.

EBONY BELLE (7) has been racing well in easier company having finished second on three consecutive occasions. She may be suited by the soft draw where she can be saved up for one run at them.

SELECTIONS: CONVAIR HUSTLER (5), IMPERIOUS (8), FOR NO REASON (6), EBONY BELLE (7)

SUGGESTED BET: CONVAIR HUSTLER (5) to win.

RACE 6

TARIFA GIRL (8) wasn’t beaten far two starts ago when leading and running second to dominant winner La bomba. Appears to land in a much easier race here and gains the services of Nathan Dawson which could prove key to her chances.

WANDARY DELIGHT (7) hasn’t been at her absolute best in recent outings. She seems to be best suited when saved up for one run at them after being driven quietly in the early stages which she may get the opportunity to do from a soft draw.

BETTING BARON (5) seemed to have every chance last start when looking to be a touch disappointing running third after finding the front quite comfortably in the early stages. He is generally a horse that does his best work up on speed and can look to bounce back in this race.

SOMEONES WATCHING (2) elected to hand over last start and seemed to run a much better race when not beaten far by Emmaleen. Appears to have found another race he can zip across to the pegs and can be thereabouts with a similar effort to last start.

SELECTIONS: TARIFA GIRL (8), WANDARY DELIGHT (7), BETTING BARON (5), SOMEONES WATCHING (2)

SUGGESTED BET: TARIFA GIRL (8) to win.

RACE 7

OKOKAREDROBINJUJON (4) battled on well last start in a stronger race behind Im Lord Tommy who rated fast time when winning for the grade and distance. He may be able to work across and lead in this race and if he does he becomes one to beat.

WHYKIKAMOOCOW (2) has been handing over when leading in recent starts which has seemingly seen him doing his best work when having something to follow in races. He draws well in this race outside of a horse that seemingly doesn’t possess much gate speed and may be able to work his way to the front before having options.

THE TORQUE EFFECT (5) took on a much stronger race last start where he found a good position up on speed and was well beaten. He drops back in class in this race and with the right run can be thereabouts.

LITTLE WHIPPET (1) has very little gate speed which could see him shuffled back in the early stages. He should still secure a good run and over the 2040 it’s likely the gaps appear late for him to run on into the finish if good enough.

SELECTIONS: OKOKAREDROBINJUJON (4), WHYKIKAMOOCOW (2), THE TORQUE EFFECT (5), LITTLE WHIPPET (1)

SUGGESTED BET: OKOKAREDROBINJUJON (4) to win.

RACE 8

HEAVENSENT (1) may have needed the run first up two starts ago when appearing to get a touch tired late running third. She led again last start and battled on strongly for second behind stablemate Shes My Mistake. She may be nearing peak fitness third up in this race and should be hard to beat.

ROCKNREASON (2) went around a short priced favourite last start and couldn’t quite reel in the leader when finishing a well beaten second. Having drawn outside of her main rival in this race she looks set to do the work again and may need to have improved off her latest effort to be a winning hope.

VEESIGN (7) should secure a good run in the race following out a gate speed horse. The latest time he drew inside the back row he was slow to muster speed and was shuffled back as a result but may be better for that experience.

ROCK YOUR SOCKS (3) contested a stronger race last start in a Consolation of the Qbred Fillies Triad when finishing sixth. Appears to have drawn reasonably in this race and should be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: HEAVENSENT (1), ROCKNREASON (2), VEESIGN (7), ROCK YOUR SOCKS (3)

SUGGESTED BET: HEAVENSENT (1) to win.
