Form Analysis: Albion Park October 31

31 October 2025

RACE ONE

Two from two since arriving with the Turpin stable, THE RASCAL (7) has been super impressive in each outing. Posting a 22m gap on the nearest challenger first up at the middle trip, he then powered up over the last 800 in 27.7 and 26.8 for a slick win second up. He should be too slick.

 SIR RICHARD LEE (2)
features in a stable change off the back of his last start victory at Redcliffe. Sent to the front soon after the start from gate four over 2040, he was able to space his rivals with an 18m margin. From the gate, he can find the pegs early which is big.

 BETTORS MOON (8)
was angled to the inside last time in a strong 75Final that was controlled in front by TREMENDOUS SENSATION. Finding space in time will be key to grabbing a minor here.

 ROCKAWAY BEACH (5)
burrowed through from gate one at the 2138 last time out and tried to take them all the way. Fading late to finish 3m astern of the winner, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: THE RASCAL (7), SIR RICHARD LEE (2), BETTORS MOON (8), ROCKAWAY BEACH (5)
SUGGESTED BET: THE RASCAL (7) to win

RACE TWO

Working early outside the leader here last time out in a 75Final, SOHO CASABLANCA (2) was unable to go with them when the power went out through a 26 flat third split. TREMENDOUS SENSATION and FERNCO NEL pulled clear, while he was left unplaced. Runner-up at both prior starts, this is within reach.

 ART JESTER (1)
maps for the ideal trip in behind the speed and will be awaiting the gaps to take a snipers shot. Eased for position last time, the speed in front made it too hard for the chasers and the start prior, he grabbed bronze from the pocket trail, where he should be positioned here.

 GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (8)
was not too far away behind EAGLESPRIDE last start despite finishing out of the money. 2m away when runner-up the start prior, he will be searching for gaps here.

 MULLUM HANK (9)
was impressive when claiming victory at his first run in 12 months when swooping late at Redcliffe two runs back. Beaten by gate seven second up, he is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SOHO CASABLANCA (2), ART JESTER (1), GLENEAGLE VEE CEE (8), MULLUM HANK (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 1-2-8-9

RACE THREE

OUR SWEET JESS (2) has had a mixed season but finally looks to find the right conditions to claim a breakthrough. Sent out a red figure fav over this trip five runs back despite starting from gate seven, she was unplaced after a tough trip. All four since have been at Redcliffe with the return to the big deck from this gate in her favour.

 THE LADY DIOR (6)
scored an impressive win at Redcliffe two starts back when fired off the arm and taking them all the way, pulling clear to put up a margin of 27m in smart time. Sitting parked last start as BOLD MEDLEY JUJON obliterated the field, the gat again makes it a tough challenge.

 PENNIE PACKER (3)
has been racing in consistent fashion, with her past three in Saturday night mare’s events. Grabbing the bronze last start at the 2138, she has early speed to feature again.

 MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (8)
has been runner-up at her past two starts, the latest when trying to dictate before being grabbed in the last stride by BEYOND DOUBT. She will be probing.

SELECTIONS: OUR SWEET JESS (2), THE LADY DIOR (6), PENNIE PACKER (3), MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
OUR SWEET JESS (2) to win

RACE FOUR

A typically open and difficult to dissect lower assessed contest at 2138. HES REGAL (3) started from inside the second line over this trip two starts back and when finding the space, charge hard to take the W. Strong to the line last start in stronger company, he might be the one.

 JOHN SNOW (2)
should appreciate a reversal of fortunes with his barriers after his past four have been from outside the front line and outside the second line. Taken back from seven last start at this same trip, he was making good metres to grab the silver and will throw it down here.

 HEAVENLY WISDOM (4)
had been runner-up in successive appearances before converting the consistency into victory at the mile last time out. With the right trip, she can be joining in.

 YANKEE C J (7)
is never too far from the action in this grade. Despite the tough gate, he has performed from bad gates and placed his past three in and can get forward to feature.

SELECTIONS: HES REGAL (3), JOHN SNOW (2), HEAVENLY WISDOM (4), YANKEE C J (7)
SUGGESTED BET: HES REGAL (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Producing consistent performances despite taking on older opposition, SITTING ON EIGHT (5) can look to get his first win against the older horses here. Unplaced last time despite being 4m from the winner in his own age, the start prior he was 1m from BRAVENTREACHEROUS.

BAIL DENIED (1) was fired off the arm last start and looking to dictate at the middle trip could not repel them in the closing stages when unplaced in a blanket finish. Fading out from the front also at 2138 the start prior, a return to the mile can be the catalyst for the challenge.

 BORSELLINO (10)
was first up in six weeks last time out when used hard off the arm in the early stages before finishing at the rear. Better when saved for one run, he can be chiming in late here.

 BE GOOD MIKI (9)
will appreciate the soft trip against the inside and will be probing for some late gaps. After three runs in Qld, he is showing steady improvement and has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: SITTING ON EIGHT (5), BAIL DENIED (1), BORSELLINO (10), BE GOOD MIKI (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SITTING ON EIGHT (5) to win

RACE SIX

LA SABINA (9) will appreciate a return to the mile after tackling the middle trip off a second line gate last time out. Making some late metres to finish midfield, she was a beaten fav at both prior starts over the sprint. Despite the second line, she looks to have enough edge to capitalise.

 BATMAN BART (10)
was a gritty winner at Redcliffe two starts back when moving forward to get parked and pull clear to a decisive margin. Buried last start and unable to get into it late, he finds the right opposition to throw down a challenge.

 GET ME OUTTA HERE (3)
was a Redcliffe winner four runs back when finding the front early from gate three before taking cover. Unplaced in all three since, he can get handy to feature here.

 ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (8)
has been faced with the outside front line gate at her past four in succession and should appreciate a trail draw here. Unable to get warm last start, she can join in.

SELECTIONS: LA SABINA (9), BATMAN BART (10), GET ME OUTTA HERE (3), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

Showing good speed off the arm when tackling the mobile 2138 last start, DARCYS FIREBALL (6) found the front early before taking cover. With too much closing power, he took his shot and posted a 5m winning margin. Despite the tough gate, he can take confidence and repeat.

 ALDEBARANSILINSKI (9)
will take some benefit following the last start when resuming from a spell and holding on for the silver behind SHEZA CHANCE. Completing a hat-trick of wins prior to the spell, he can look to find the right trail before issuing a closing challenge.

 TE RAPA (7)
is still chasing his first victory since arriving in Qld, but his past two efforts suggest he is moving ever closer to a breakthrough. Runner-up to DARCYS FIREBALL last start, he has claims.

 SON OF A SUN (10)
has placed in three of his past five starts, the latest when grabbing the bronze behind DARCYS FIREBALL. Runner-up to SHEZA CHANCE three back, he is a place hope.

SELECTIONS: DARCYS FIREBALL (6), ALDEBARANSILINSKI (9), TE RAPA (7), SON OF A SUN (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
DARCYS FIREBALL (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

A mixed maiden with different ages and form lines converging in chase of their first race day success. BLUE DRAGON (5) is a newcomer to the State, joining the Pat Croghan team. A 4YO mare, she has three placings in the deep South of NZ and has the credentials to fire fresh.

 GOOD LOOKING JUJON (2)
has placed in both career starts, the latest when looking to take them all the way at Redcliffe when finishing a neck short of the prize. With the added experience and the right gate, she might just have found the breakthrough conditions.

 WICKED WHISKEY (8)
was well supported first up in Qld in a 2YO event last time out. Making a mess of the start, he was never a factor and finished tailed out. He will be probing gaps here.

 SAINT MAHARG (10)
is not having much luck in landing a marble and will make it five in succession here that are not in his favour. Placed in two of five, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: BLUE DRAGON (5), GOOD LOOKING JUJON (2), WICKED WHISKEY (8), SAINT MAHARG (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BLUE DRAGON (5) to win

RACE NINE

Chasing a hat-trick of wins last start, LAYDOWNLUNA (10) rolled forward from the 20m tape to take control. Out of tickets turning for home, she rallied and held on for the silver behind WHIRLWIND WILBUR. Fitter for the outing after being first up from a spell, she can atone.

 NORTHERN HEIGHTS (7)
returns from a spell off the back of a last start silver behind MCGEE. Leading the field over the mobile 2138, he was fresh into that QBRED Final after making an error some eight weeks prior. With some potential bigger targets ahead, he can return in style.

 MAROON BELLS (4)
scored the breakthrough for her first victory over this trip at her last start. Beaten a half-neck at Marburg two starts back, she atoned last time with the W and has claims again.

 AHUNDREDPLUS (6)
found winning conditions here two starts back when finishing best to score after facing a 20m tape. Beaten an eyelash last start at Marburg, she has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: LAYDOWNLUNA (10), NORTHERN HEIGHTS (7), MAROON BELLS (4), AHUNDREDPLUS (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LAYDOWNLUNA (10) to win

RACE TEN

Still chasing a first win in the Sunshine State, CASCATA (9) has produced some mixed runs. Strong to the line for the silver four runs back when 4m from MILLY AN EYRE, she has made errors in all three since. If she can trot cleanly, she finds a race to take full advantage.

 ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (1)
returns to Qld, this time under the care of visiting trainer Howard James and arrives off the back of an unplaced outing at Menangle. Banished to the trials off that effort, she has earned the return and if able to get it right early, might just issue a challenge.

 DOLLYS DUKE (7)
found conditions to suit at Marburg two starts back and edged out MAROON BELLS  to get on the board. Grabbing the bronze last start, he has podium claims again.

 ARIZONA SKYE (2)
is still chasing the elusive breakthrough after 22 attempts. Keen when outside the leader last time and fading to midfield, if she can bring manners and settle, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: CASCATA (9), ITS ALL RIGHT NOW (1), DOLLYS DUKE (7), ARIZONA SKYE (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
CASCATA (9) to win

RACE ELEVEN

DESIRING DIAMONDS (4) has placed in four of seven as she chases the account opener. Given a trip to Melton last start to tackle the Nutrien Series Final, it was a tidy effort when fourth behind JILLIBY AURA. 3rd behind older horses three back, this looks her chance to breakthrough.

 SERENA LOVE (7)
was first up last time out and after beginning smartly was forced to park out over the Marburg 2200. Despite the tough trip, she was able to grind out the win and break maiden ranks. With added fitness and winning confidence, she can chase a repeat.

 THE RED MENACE (1)
was first up from a spell at Marburg last time out. Holding the pocket trail, he was chasing gamely when 5m astern of the winner SERENA LOVE. With the added fitness and the front tape, he can look to issue a challenge.

 NONIS GOLD CLASS (3)
has started fav in all three career starts but has been unable to convert that to victory. Returning from a spell last start at Marburg, she made an error that ended her chances. Manners will be key.

SELECTIONS: DESIRING DIAMONDS (4), SERENA LOVE (7), THE RED MENACE (1), NONIS GOLD CLASS (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
DESIRING DIAMONDS (4) to win
