Form Analysis Albion Park October 4

4 October 2025

RACE ONE

Chasing a hat-trick of victories at the mile, WATCHMEDAZZLE (6) faces and awkward gate, however his last start victory was powerful from the front. Pressing to the front and stomping out a PB, he stays in the same grade which suggests the repeat is within reach.

CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (4) has hit the board in half of his 27 appearances in 2025, including placings at his past four in succession. Game in defeat last start behind WATCHMEDAZZLE, the start prior he was best of the rest behind MYDADSAID. He has the gate to challenge.

TEDDY TURPIN (7) broke through for a deserved win in qualifying company last start after four successive placings. Finishing best from inside the second line, the gate dents repeat hopes.

AMAMI (1) has the benefit of the inside gate where he can secure an economical trip. Strong to the line for the bronze three starts back, he will be tucked away searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: WATCHMEDAZZLE (6), CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (4), TEDDY TURPIN (7), AMAMI (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

With 470 days since his last defeat in Qld and 700 days since he last tasted defeat her at The Creek, LEAP TO FAME (6) should have little trouble in extending both of those numbers. Back from his ID demolition, he opened the pipes with an effortless standing start trial as he builds towards the Victoria Cup enroute to the NZ Cup. Sit back and enjoy pacing perfection.

TIMS A TROOPER (5) scored a smart win here last week, with his own last 800m particularly impressive as he claimed victory over WISPER A SECRET. Making as mess of the tapes the start prior. He has so long been the second-string runner behind his champion stablemate yet is only a placing away from securing $500k in stake earnings in his own right.

ARODA (2) returns from a spell as he builds towards another potential NZ Cup tilt. Trailing them home in the ID Final last time out, he can be first to the poles and look for an easy trip on the return.

SELECTIONS: LEAP TO FAME (6), TIMS A TROOPER (5), ARODA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: LEAP TO FAME (6) to win

RACE THREE

Powering up from gate 6 three starts back to dictate a NR75 heat, SWEET MIA (5) was never in danger with a 52.5 PB. Unplaced from wide gates in both subsequent appearances, she was too far back last time as SINABUN carved out a monster victory. Back to mare’s company can see her capitalise.

PLATINUM JEWEL (1) angled to the fence from two the second line here last week and with the inside trip was best of the chasers as TICK A LOCH sprinted clear to a big win. Snagged off the arm the start prior, she can secure the soft trip and be ready to take the snipers shot.

MAJORITA JUJON (4) did not have the smoothest passage last start when just put of the money. Buried the start prior as IMA QUEEN BEE arrived, she may need to roll the sleeves for this.

REELY NAUTI (3) held the front to take them all the way in a second division qualifier three starts back before being run down in front at her next start. With the hustle to get across, she will be gripping on.

SELECTIONS: SWEET MIA (5), PLATINUM JEWEL (1), MAJORITA JUJON (4), REELY NAUTI (3)
SUGGESTED BET: SWEET MIA (5) to win

RACE FOUR

It has been a mixed bag of results for CONEY ISLAND LOU (1) in three Albion Park appearances since crossing the Nullarbor. Involved early in a sub 26 opener at his first start back in July, he defied gate 7 second up. Freshened, he again copped gate 7 last week and was sectionally strong behind BIRKIRKARA. The gate is a huge plus.

OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (2) will have the early option to dive in behind with the absence of a second line for this battle. A winner in two of his past three, both over the middle trip when working to the front in each, he looks a good quinella hope from the trail.

TARGARYEN (3) was second up from a spell last time out when buried from inside the second line and finishing midfield. Chasing home ROCKET CITY the start prior, he can be joining in here.

LUVBITE (5) has placed in both runs back from a spell, chasing home in-form horses at each outing. Despite an awkward gate in the small field, he can be joining in once more.

SELECTIONS: CONEY ISLAND LOU (1), OUR SUNSET DELIGHT (2), TARGARYEN (3), LUVBITE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: CONEY ISLAND LOU (1) to win

RACE FIVE

With just one run in 12 months to his name, ELLIS STREET (2) should derive plenty of benefit from his run here last week when setting the tempo from the front. Sent out in red figures, he was 3m from the winner in a sub-52 mile. From the front, he should keep them chasing.

LENNY LINCOLN (1) backs up from Wednesday night on The Triangle and should benefit from tucking straight in behind the speed. Not suited last start when sent forward from the second line and striking some trouble last start, he was a Redcliffe winner four back.

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (8) should secure the ideal trip against the markers and with the limited work load, can be aiming up for the shortcuts to make a play for the minor money.

BRONSKI ZULU (3) is a nine-time winner, with a G1 win included in that haul, yet he has been unable to crack a win in 16 appearances this year. Settling handy, he has podium claims.

SELECTIONS: ELLIS STREET (2), LENNY LINCOLN (1), BLACKJACK CRIPPA (8), BRONSKI ZULU (3)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2 / 1-3-8

On the back up from Tuesday where he made his first appearance in a standing start event, GO THE RED (4) should appreciate a return to this grade. Sent out as the fav in that contest, he was strong to the line when just 1m from ALTA SENSATION. He looks well graded to take this.

DEEBO (6) was asked to roll the sleeves in a similarly graded event here last week when grinding out 3rd place as STUDLEIZGH MARK darted through on the passing lane. Missing the money when 5m from EPIC ERNIE the start prior, he may need to do it the tough way once more.

ROCK HAMMER (1) took them all the way at Redcliffe in softer company two starts back and then last week, just missed a cheque in similar grade to this assignment. The gate is a plus, the distance a minus.

FRANCO MACHO (2) struck trouble in the run last start and finished near the rear. Searching for gaps when placed behind IRON CLAD two starts back, he can be handy enough to feature here.

SELECTIONS: GO THE RED (4), DEEBO (6), ROCK HAMMER (1), FRANCO MACHO (2)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

A newcomer to Qld that arrives a G1 winning juvenile, WINDY HILL TARA (3) was first up for the new stable last week when eased off the gate and unable to get warm against tempo in the latter stages. With the chance to press forward, she finds the conditions to cash in.

AURORA JOY (1) likes the middle trip and from this gate should be able to secure an ideal trip behind the speed in readiness to take her shot when the gaps appear. Wide gates have done a disservice to her chances at her past two, while three back she was runner-up to SWEET HAYLEY JANE from this gate.

CHEER LEADER (5) has been consistent with placings in three of her past four starts, the latest when 7m astern of the winner SOAP OPERA. An awkward gate makes it a tough ask.

IMA QUEEN BEE (7) finished best to claim a qualifier two starts back in PB time and then last start was forced to park out when missing the money. The carpark makes the task no easier here.

SELECTIONS: WINDY HILL TARA (3), AURORA JOY (1), CHEER LEADER (5), IMA QUEEN BEE (7)
SUGGESTED BET: WINDY HILL TARA (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

Runner-up at her past two starts, the marbles fell perfectly for A PERFECT DANCE (1) to capitalise in this line up. Trying to see them off last start from the front when collared in the last stride, she attacked the line strongly the start prior. The gate gives her every chance to improve her AP win conversion rate.

SPORTY ZARA (5) is just a 3YO tacking the older opponents but brings two wins in her past three starts to the discussion. Finding the trail last start, she finished best in claiming victory and positioning cheaply can be throwing down the challenge in this assignment.

OUR ULTIMATE LUKA (10) pressed on to find the front last start at the middle trip but faded in the closing stages to finish midfield. A winner three back, she can be chiming in here.

LITTLE HOOFANANNY (4) should appreciate a return to her own sex after facing off against all comers in recent starts. Not that far away last time, look for a sharper effort here.

SELECTIONS: A PERFECT DANCE (1), SPORTY ZARA (5), OUR ULTIMATE LUKA (10), LITTLE HOOFANANNY (4)
SUGGESTED BET: A PERFECT DANCE (1) to win

RACE NINE

The AP record of NOT AS PROMISED (5) is superb, posting a dozen victories from just 19 appearances, those numbers strengthened if you remove the ID25 figures. Fresh up since that July 19 Final here last week, he made light work of the mobile conditions with a dictating victory. Stepping cleanly will see him go back-to-back.

ZEALOUS SPUR (4) was asked to sit parked at the middle trip last start under similar conditions but was unable to reel in them in and missed the money. A winner in a small mobile start field the start prior, he can find the right trip to throw down the challenge.

LOVE GUN (6) was chasing a hat-trick of victories two starts back when sent to the post as the fav but had to settle for the silver behind ZEALOUS SPUR. Grabbing 3rd to HIDE AND SEEK last start, he has podium claims once again.

HIDE AND SEEK (7) was another that was denied a hat-trick of victories, his threepeat thwarted by MUFASA METRO. The 20m tape might just be a hurdle too high.

SELECTIONS: NOT AS PROMISED (5), ZEALOUS SPUR (4), LOVE GUN (6), HIDE AND SEEK (7)
SUGGESTED BET: NOT AS PROMISED (5) to win
