RACE 1

BENNYDASOOK (8) is a well related colt that is having his second start since early April. He took on a strong race there when beaten by Sitting On Eight. He has since trialled well and should be thereabouts in this race first up from a spell.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE (2) ran out a comfortable winner at Marburg before the race was eventually abandoned following the race. She impressed on debut in QLD when sitting without cover and battling on well for fourth. She is likely to have derived benefit from her first race start and her recent outing at Marburg and should be hard to beat.

BOSTON ASSASSIN (5) ran well two starts ago when running on strongly into second behind Thefaultinmystars. He then had no luck last start when badly checked by a horse that galloped in front of him. He is likely to get back from the wide draw and can be running on late.

SPEEDBUMP (6) was on debut last start in a race that was eventually abandoned on Monday at Marburg where he had very little luck. Had trialled well leading into his debut and should be thereabouts despite a wide draw.

SELECTIONS: BENNYDASOOK (8), KEEPING IT SIMPLE (2), BOSTON ASSASSIN (5), SPEEDBUMP (6)

SUGGESTED BET: KEEPING IT SIMPLE (2) to win.

RACE 2

ROCK YOUR SOCKS (4) was running on well late two starts ago after securing a good run. She then had no luck last start when checked and made a break as a result when finishing third. She has options in this race whether she presses forward or is sat up for one run.

OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (1) led recently at this track and trip and put in a poor run when finishing a well beaten fifth after appearing to have every chance. She ran a much better race last time out when driven with cover finishing second behind Lets Scrap. She will have options early.

BOSTON FIRE (6) ran well fourth starts ago securing a good run and finishing in third behind Just Incredible. He since hasn’t had much luck being badly inconvenienced last start. He should find this easier.

ALWAYS CIRCLING (7) worked hard to lead last start before tiring and making a break. His first two career runs were solid for a race of this nature and he should be more competitive getting an economical run in the early stages.

SELECTIONS: ROCK YOUR SOCKS (4), OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (1), BOSTON FIRE (6), ALWAYS CIRCLING (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCK YOUR SOCKS (4) to win.

RACE 3

BETTING BARON (3) has run second in his latest two outings at this track. He was forced to sit outside the leader last start when battling away well there for second behind Rosarito who had a soft run on the pegs throughout the race. He may be forced to do the work again.

ILLBEWATCHING (5) was a winner four starts ago running solid time when leading all the way. This race looks easier than the one he was able to win which may be offset by his wide draw in this race. He is versatile in this grade and should be hard to beat.

MATAI REACTOR (9) is generally best when driven quietly and saved for one run at them late which he looks to get the opportunity to do given his back row draw in this race. He broke through for a well deserved win two starts ago when running on over the top late and can look to do similar in this race.

HOIHO (7) looks likely to get a good run through at the start drawn on the back of a gate speed horse in Tapthekeg. He was a good winner four starts ago at Albion Park when coming from off the speed to score over the 2138.

SELECTIONS: BETTING BARON (3), ILLBEWATCHING (5), MATAI REACTOR (9), HOIHO (7)

SUGGESTED BET: BETTING BARON (3) to win.

RACE 4

TWILIGHT TANGO (7) has been much better in recent outings. She was able to score a good win three starts ago when running on best late to score up the sprint lane at this track. She then made a good run last start when getting into third. She looks suited inside the back row in this race following out a horse with gate speed.

SAINT LOUIS BEAT (1) has plenty of gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead this race before having options. It has been some time since he was last able to find the pegs early which means it is difficult to know whether he elects to hand up or look to lead all the way. Has been racing well enough without a great deal of luck.

HAPPY AS CAN BE (4) ran well to get into second last start at this track behind The Real Rocketman. He draws awkwardly in this race and may get back in the run relying on a genuine early tempo to bring him into the race.

ROCKSNGEMS (8) was running on strongly last start to get into a close up second behind Dee Terror. He draws favourably in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be running into it late.

SELECTIONS: TWILIGHT TANGO (7), SAINT LOUIS BEAT (1), HAPPY AS CAN BE (4), ROCKSNGEMS (8)

SUGGESTED BET: TWILIGHT TANGO (7) to win.

RACE 5

LITTLE HOOFANANNY (2) drops in grade into this race having raced in qualifying Mares metro grade on a Saturday last start when well beaten by A Perfect Dance. She has quite good early speed and may look to press forward and look for the lead in the early stages. If she can secure the right run she should be hard to beat.

THE TIGER ARMY (9) ran on well into second last start after securing a good run in the race when not beaten far by Great Achiever. He looks likely to secure a good run again in this race off the speed in a race there could be a solid early tempo.

PERFECTLY QUIRKY (8) has been racing in slightly stronger company in recent outings and should find this race a bit easier. She took on A Perfect Dance last start and didn’t make much impression late in what became a dash home making it hard for anything to make ground.

PUNTERS JEWEL (1) was well beaten last start when first up from a spell. He showed good ability last time in and is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that first up outing. Could be an improver in this race.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE HOOFANANNY (2), THE TIGER ARMY (9), PERFECTLY QUIRKY (8), PUNTERS JEWEL (1)

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE HOOFANANNY (2) to win.

RACE 6

THE LADY DIOR (2) impressed in a recent trial when drawing away late to win in a sharp 1.53 mile rate. She contested some of the better races as a 3YO filly earlier in the year and didn’t have a huge amount of luck in a lot of those races. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that run and from a favourable draw in this race she is likely to take plenty of running down.

OUR SWEET JESS (3) put in a big run three starts ago when making a break at the start before running into an impressive third despite having lost early ground. She draws to the disadvantage of her main rival in this race and is likely to be forced to do the work.

TOBEFAIRTOYOU (1) comes into this race third up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness in this race. She got shuffled a long way back last start and was forced to make a wide run through the fastest part of the race. Should get every chance from an ideal draw.

ART OF ROCK (7) is looking of for a hat-trick of wins in this race having scored in his two latest outings at this track. He should get a good run through and looks likely to get every chance 3 back on the pegs behind the likely short priced favourite in Our Sweet Jess.

SELECTIONS: THE LADY DIOR (2), OUR SWEET JESS (3), TOBEFAIRTOYOU (1), ART OF ROCK (7)

SUGGESTED BET: TOBEFAIRTOYOU (1) to place.

RACE 7

TREMENDOUS SENSATION (9) won impressively recently at Albion Park beating a strong field and running fast time when coming from off the speed. She has run well prior to that latest win when winning leading all the way. She should get a good run off the speed in a race that appears likely to generate a strong early tempo.

BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (4) has brilliant early speed and finds a race where he may be able to launch to the lead. He found the front last start and was a touch disappointing there when being run down in moderate time by the horse that was forced to face the breeze in Mach Assassin. He will need to go better to take this race out.

BETTORS MOON (2) scored another impressive win last start having impressed since joining the stable of Graham Dwyer. She scored last start after being forced to sit without cover rating fast time. She doesn’t have brilliant gate speed and will need to begin better than she has been to lead in this race.

LUVBITE (6) drops a long way in grade to get into this race and draws widest as a result of the preferential barrier draw. He was forced to do the work last start and was well beaten albeit in what appeared a much tougher race.

SELECTIONS: TREMENDOUS SENSATION (9), BLUE SUEDE ROCKA (4), BETTORS MOON (2), LUVBITE (6)

SUGGESTED BET: TREMENDOUS SENSATION (9) to win.
