RACE 1

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (5) scored a very impressive win last start when being forced to do the work last start and proving too good rating good time for the grade. He draws wide again in this race and will likely look to press forward and race in a prominent position. He should be hard to beat again despite stepping up in grade.

WESTERN ARTERRA (4) has plenty of early speed but may not quite be able to cross the horses drawn to his inside in this race. He was sat up last start and ran a good third when closing off strongly. He appears to be racing in good form and if he can secure a good run he should be hard to hold out.

IDEAL ASSASSIN (6) is a horse with brilliant early speed but does draw poorly in this race and may face a tough task getting across at the start. She was saved up for one run at them last start and was able to score over the 2040.

KERBANG (7) ran well when first up last start sitting in the breeze and battling on gamely for second. He is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that outing and will just need luck having drawn poorly inside the back row behind a horse that isn’t racing in his best form.

SELECTIONS: MY ULTIMATE MARIO (5), WESTERN ARTERRA (4), IDEAL ASSASSIN (6), KERBANG (7)

SUGGESTED BET: MY ULTIMATE MARIO (5) to win.

RACE 2

UNCLE CRAIGO (2) was left without cover two starts ago when racing over the 2138 at Albion Park battling on well for fourth when not beaten far behind Arendelle. The last time he was able to lead over this track and trip he bumped into Great Achiever who would likely be hard to beat in this type of race. He should be able to work to the lead and can prove hard to catch.

GRIGORA (8) was running on strongly into third last start when getting a long way back in the run. He was able to secure an ideal run two starts back and ran over the top of Studleigh Mark who has since won. He looks suited in this race from a good draw.

JIVE MASTER (9) was able to finish best to score last start at this track. He was nearly a month between run when starting in that race and may have derived benefit from the outing. He appears to have drawn well and can be running into it late.

ROCK NIEN (10) appears well graded in this race. Was forced to do a lot of work last start in a stronger race at Albion Park taken out by Beyond Doubt. If he can secure a more economical run this time he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: UNCLE CRAIGO (2), GRIGORA (8), JIVE MASTER (9), ROCK NIEN (10)

SUGGESTED BET: UNCLE CRAIGO (2) to win.

RACE 3

MAJOR TRALEE (1) has plenty of gate speed and from the good draw looks likely to be able to drive through and lead. He did plenty of work early two starts ago at this track when running a well beaten third before going much better last time out at Albion Park when running third to Sports Bounty.

TOMMY BLIGH (7) should get a good run through early on the back of Major Tralee who is a gate speed horse. He comes into this race first up from a spell having trialled fairly behind Move Heavennearth. If he is ready to go he can figure first up from good draw.

SNIP OF BEAUTY (3) has been racing in stronger company and putting in a number of good performances. She was beaten just 5.4 metres last start in a race they rated good time for the grade taken out by Deep Regret.

MISS SYRAH (9) has placed in her last five outings and is rarely far away in her races. She won’t need to do any early work in this race and if the race is run to suit she can be running into it late.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR TRALEE (1), TOMMY BLIGH (7), SNIP OF BEAUTY (3), MISS SYRAH (9)

SUGGESTED BET: SNIP OF BEAUTY (3) to win.

RACE 4

PRINCE JOY (5) worked to the lead two starts ago before running away a dominant winner. He was a month between runs last start when drawing poorly and getting a long way back at Albion Park behind Canadian Lass. He is likely to press forward in this race and look to hold the key draw advantage on his main rivals.

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (2) has good gate speed and might be able to work across to the lead before looking for a trail. She has seemingly run her best races when following and less suited when leading. If she can secure the right run she can be in the finish.

GOODOLDBOYSANDBEER (6) is a horse that does a lot of work in most of his races including last start battling away well to not be beaten far after sitting outside the leader over the 2040. He may be forced to do the work again in this race given his wide draw but he has previously sat outside of Prince Joy and proved too good.

WELL SAID NUGGET (9) draws to do no work in the early stages of this race. He was sent around favourite last start and finished a long way behind dominant winner Amillionchances.

SELECTIONS: PRINCE JOY (5), SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (2), GOODOLDBOYSANDBEER (6), WELL SAID NUGGET (9)

SUGGESTED BET: PRINCE JOY (5) to win.

RACE 5

MISTER ROBIN HOOD (5) has good gate speed and will be looking for a prominent position again in this race having led last start and been run down by the in form My Ultimate Mario. He comes into this race third up from a spell and should be right in the finish.

SWEET LAD JUJON (4) hasn’t run for over a month which appears a query. He is a horse that has previously shown he can be driven aggressively early and still finish his races off running out a dominant winner in late May after leading. He impressed two starts ago when running on strongly behind My Ultimate Mario.

RIBEIRO (9) wasn’t beaten far two starts ago by Watchmedazzle in fast time at Albion Park. He will find this a lot easier and can be put into the race at some stage. He looks one of the class runners and should be hard to beat.

SHES ALLABOUTLUV (7) was able to prove too good last start for Rally Around after being forced to sit outside the leader. She will find this a lot tougher and draws poor inside the back row. Will need luck.

SELECTIONS: MISTER ROBIN HOOD (5), SWEET LAD JUJON (4), RIBEIRO (9), SHES ALLABOUTLUV (7)

SUGGESTED BET: SWEET LAD JUJON (4) to win.

RACE 6

SIGNOR JUJON (1) showed good gate speed last start before eventually handing over in a race they went far too quickly for the grade rating a 57.4 first half. He should be able to work off the gate early before having options whether he holds or hands over.

THREE MACHS (7) should get a good run through in the early stages drawn to follow out a horse with gate speed. She has been racing particularly well recently having put in a good run two starts ago to finish close up behind Imperious before running well again last start.

IDEAL TIGER (5) is a long way down in grade off some of his better efforts. He seems to be working into some better form his last few starts. He has placed in his latest three outings including a close up third last start behind Our Uncle Les at Albion Park.

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4) ran on strongly last start and just wasn’t quite able to reel in Justrollingaround who was able to keep kicking after sitting up on speed in a slowly run race. He is likely to get back in the run from an awkward draw and can be running on again late.

SELECTIONS: SIGNOR JUJON (1), THREE MACHS (7), IDEAL TIGER (5), DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4)

SUGGESTED BET: IDEAL TIGER (5) to win.

RACE 7

OUR DOLLY (3) has early speed and is likely to press forward in this race. She has a good record at the track and trip and appears likely to be able to find the front at some stage in this race. She looks hardest to beat.

MISTER HART (9) was able to score a solid win four starts ago when leading all the way before running well again his next start when finishing second. He took on a stronger race last start and was well beaten but should find this easier.

MAYWYNS KAREN (2) has good early speed and may look to press forward before having options from there. She appeared to have her chance last start when securing a good run and just couldn’t quite get into the placings.

PERFECT FEELING (6) scored an upset victory four starts ago when securing a great run 3 back on the pegs over the 2040 at this track. He secured a good run on the pegs last start and was running on strongly late into third. He will need luck from the wide draw.

SELECTIONS: OUR DOLLY (3), MISTER HART (9), MAYWYNS KAREN (2), PERFECT FEELING (6)

SUGGESTED BET: OUR DOLLY (3) to win.

RACE 8

MACK ATTACK (5) was first up from a spell last start when well driven to weave through find the leaders back before hitting the line well and running a narrow second. He is likely to have derived benefit from that run. He looks a clear standout in this field and should be hard to beat despite drawing wide.

CHEEKY BABY (2) finished fifth last start but was beaten just 3.6 metres in a similar type of race. She showed ability last time in while struggling to break through for another elusive win. She draws well and should be thereabouts.

ICANANDIWILL (1) has good early speed and should easily have the speed to drive through and lead in the early stages. Over the 2040 it is likely he elects to take a trail on one of the more fancied runners and should be a player from there.

DREAMTIME NALA (9) has been unplaced in three runs so far this campaign. Will need to significantly improve off recent efforts to be figuring but did come up against a handy filly in Shes Allaboutluv last start and may find this easier.

SELECTIONS: MACK ATTACK (5), CHEEKY BABY (2), ICANANDIWILL (1), DREAMTIME NALA (9)

SUGGESTED BET: MACK ATTACK (5) to win.

RACE 9

I AM CAESAR (8) was able to show good gate speed last start before electing to hand over to Ideal Pursuit and ran a close up second there. He has been closing in strongly on a maiden victory and appears likely to get every chance in this race from a good trailing draw following out a horse with gate speed.

MALARKY (1) contested stronger maidens last time in. When she was last able to lead she bumped into Premier Paul who went on to run some good times at his next few starts at Albion Park. She likely has the speed to drive through and lead and may elect to hold the lead if she is ready to go first up in this race.

JUSTANOTHER TORQUE (4) performed impressively on debut when running a strong second having been forced to face the breeze throughout in that race. Her two following efforts haven’t quite been as good as that effort on debut. She has been freshened up since her latest outing when running fourth and she can be thereabouts with the right run.

GOODTIME FLETCH (9) lands in this race third up from a spell likely nearing peak fitness having derived benefit from his first and second up outings. He put in a solid effort to run fourth last start making up late ground behind French Bubbles who was a dominant winner.

SELECTIONS: I AM CAESAR (8), MALARKY (1), JUSTANOTHER TORQUE (4), GOODTIME FLETCH (9)

SUGGESTED BET: MALARKY (1) to win.
