Form Analysis: Redcliffe October 24

RACE 1 

JACKS FYRE (1) took on a strong race last start which was taken out by Rocksngems in fast times at this track and trip and he battled on well to run 4^th. He appears to be a horse that races much better when able to find the rails in his races which he gets the opportunity to do in this race. 

HIGHNMIGHTY (7) should get a good run through on the back of Jacks Fyre which is likely to want to hold a forward position in this race. She scored a good win two starts ago when sitting without cover at Albion Park and proving too good. A similar effort would likely see her hard to beat in this race.

FAKISTRA (5) showed good ability last time in running a number of good races before going around in a heat of the Nutrien Classic series for the 3YOs and finishing fourth there. He was driven quietly in a recent trial at Albion Park and ran through the line fairly.

CULLECTINGCARDLES (2) zipped off the gate two starts ago before handing over to Exclusive Hustler and running a good fourth. A similar effort to that would likely see her very hard to beat in a race of this nature.

RACE 2 

GOOD LOOKING JUJON (1) put in a good run on debut behind what looks to be a handy horse in Yes Captain and Benndasook who was able to win his following start. She is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from that run and should be hard to beat in this race from an ideal draw.

OUR ULTIMATE BEATY (4) has run second her past 3 outings and appears to be closing in on a maiden victory. She led last start before handing over to a horse that went on to be well beaten. She hit the front turning for home and was just run down late by Keeping It Simple. 

UNTENABLE (8) put in a good run on debut behind Yes Captain at Albion Park. He looks likely to get a good run through on the back of a horse with gate speed. Having derived good benefit from his effort on debut he should be hard to hold out in this race. 

MUM SAID SO (2) has good gate speed and should find a prominent position in the run from a good draw. She was good last start when running third after doing work in the run.

RACE 3

DIEGO DELGADO (8) drops back in grade into this race and appears well suited. He was a winner four starts ago at Albion Park after securing a good run on the leaders back beating Rocktime. He is versatile in this type of grade and should be hard to beat.

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (6) was a winner four starts ago and appears to land in a similar type of race. He may get back in the run from the wide draw and need the race run to suit. If the race is run to suit he should be running into it late. 

THREE MACHS (5) started from a wide draw three starts ago at this track and trip and ran well behind Imperious. She appears to have drawn awkwardly again in this race but is racing well and with the right run into the race should be hard to hold out.

LETS GET SHORTY (4) he was well beaten last start behind Ideal Tiger when finishing sixth. He appears likely to find this race easier and despite an awkward draw looks one of the hardest to beat.

RACE 4 

VANITY BAY (3) put in a much better effort two starts ago when over racing badly and just fading into fourth late. He then ran well when not having much luck last start after getting back and running on. He has good gate speed and might be able to work his way to the lead and would be hard to beat from there.

ABSOLUTELY STOKED (8) has been racing in tougher company her last few starts and appears well suited stepping back in grade into this race. She looks suited starting from a trailing draw and should get a good run through without having to do too much work early.

HEAVENS BABY (2) has good early speed and should be able to find the front and has options from there. She hasn’t been at her absolute best in recent outings but did run an improved race last start when finishing fourth behind Vermont.

MAN OF ACTION (7) appears well graded in this race. He finished down the track behind Aqua Cruiser last start but is likely not ideally suited over the 2040 and should appreciate the step back to the 1780 in this race and the soft trailing draw.

SUGGESTED BET: VANITY BAY (3) to win.

RACE 5

ROYAL WINKLE (5) has good gate speed and finds a race where there aren’t a lot of quick beginners in the race. He ran well last start when crossing over into the running line before sitting 1-1 and proving too good late. Should be hard to beat in this race.

PINK RIVER DIAMOND (3) was doing her best work through the line late last start in a slowly run race. She should get a good run close enough to them in this race from a good draw. She will need the race run to suit and can be getting into it late. 

EBONY BELLE (9) ran well again last start over the 2040 leading most of the way when finishing third. She has seemingly done most of her best work up on speed but should get a good run in this race and can be thereabouts again.

ILLBEWATCHING (7) was a winner five starts ago when able to lead and rate good time for the grade leading all the way. He since hasn’t had quite as much luck in appears to land in a more suitable race. 

SELECTIONS: ROYAL WINKLE (5), PINK RIVER DIAMOND (3), EBONY BELLE (9), ILLBEWATCHING (7)

SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL WINKLE (5) to win.

RACE 6 

MAGICOL IDEAL (1) has excellent gate speed and may look to take them all the way in this race. He led and controlled things last start over the 2040 and just got tired late. He is likely better suited at the 1780 and should be hard to run down.

LITTLEMICKEY (7) looks likely to get a very good run through in the early stages of this race. He flew late last start and just missed when running a narrow second. He should get every chance in this race from a good draw.

HAPPY AS CAN BE (5) has run well in recent outings and looks likely to be suited by what appears a race that could generate a solid early tempo. His effort when running third to Arnold Street last time out was good enough to figure in a race of this nature.

LOVIN MISS DIXIE (2) has brilliant gate speed but does draw outside of a horse with good early speed. She has been racing well having run good second her last two outings including a second to Prince Joy last time out in good enough time for the grade.

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLEMICKEY (7) to win.

RACE 7

ALWAYS PROMISE ME (8) hasn’t been at his best in recent outings. He took on a race taken out by Uncle Craigo last start where he drew wide and was forced to do the work before being well beaten. His best is good enough to take out a race of this nature and having been freshened up he may run a better race.

ARNOLD STREET (9) was able to show very good gate speed to lead last start before taking them all the way to score a good win. He draws the back row this time which is likely to make his bid for victory a lot tougher but does look well graded.

CALL IT BLING (7) put in a good run last start behind Uncle Craigo when securing a good run close to the speed in that race. He has progressed through the grades quickly and has taken a few runs to adjust. He has the ability to take this race out but does draw awkwardly inside the back row.

MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (6) was first up from a spell last start in a strong race behind Western Arterra and My Ultimate Mario. He draws poorly outside the front row in this race which looks to set him a difficult task in this race.

RACE 8

LITTLELIONELJAMES (1) has very good early speed and should easily be able to drive through and lead with the aid of the 2040 start point. He started from a poor draw last start outside the back row and made up good late ground to be beaten just 3.2 metres behind Arnold Street. He can get keen in his races at times which may be a small query over the 2040 when leading.

BUDDY PERFECT (7) should get a good run through on the back of a runner that is likely to race in a prominent position in this race. He comes into this race fourth up from a spell. He put in a good enough effort last start when getting a long way back after drawing poorly in a race they ran good time for the grade. 

GRIGORA (8) has options whether to look for the pegs or to stay in the running line. He has been in good form having scored a good win three starts ago running over the top of Studleigh Mark after getting a great run on that horses back.

IMXTRASPECIAL (10) is going slightly better than his numerical form would suggest having drawn poorly a number of times in recent starts and has been running on late. He drew poorly last start and was forced to do plenty of work when well beaten by classy filly The Lady Dior.
