Form Analysis: Redcliffe October 8

RACE 1 

ITS BACK PAGE NEWS (1) has plenty of gate speed and finds a race where she looks the leader and looks likely to get there having done less work than she has been forced to do in recent times. She is a long way back in grade off some of her better efforts and her best is easily good enough for a race of this nature. 

ALWAYS LOCKSLEY (3) was forced to do the work outside the leader last start over the 2040 at this track and was well beaten. He had previously run well after doing the work and can bounce back in this race if he is able to reproduce one of his better efforts.

HES SWEET (8) ran well last start at Albion Park when not beaten far despite racing off the pegs in 1.53.9. He should be able to secure a good run in this race close to the speed getting a good run through early. 

REAL TIN TIN (7) looks likely to get a good run through at the start on the back of a gate speed horse in Its Back Page News. He comes into this race fourth up and should be nearing peak fitness after putting in a good run last start when not beaten far in third.

RACE 2 

BETTYS GOLD CLASS (3) has very good gate speed and looks likely to be able to find a prominent position in this race. She has been up in grade and should find this company a lot more suitable than some of her recent outings.

FREELANCR DANCER (1) wasn’t beaten too far when running ninth last start behind the in-form Bettors Moon. She has been racing well and should be able to do enough to drive through and lead before having options from there.

PLANET DOWNS (7) was a winner five starts ago and has since run well. He was a good second two starts ago after leading in a similar type of race. He will need luck from an awkward draw but appears to be going well enough.

MULLUM DOC (2) has very good gate speed and will likely look to press for the lead in the early stages. He took on a stronger field over the 2138 at Albion Park and was well beaten there having worked hard early.

RACE 3

SEA FURY (3) has a key barrier draw advantage on his main rivals in this race and has very good gate speed which should allow him to make the most of that advantage and land a forward position. He ran well last start when beaten by My Ultimate Mario who was able to secure a good run off the speed in that race. 

MISTER ROBIN HOOD (4) took on a stronger race at Albion Park last start and wasn’t beaten far in fifth when first up from a spell. He draws awkwardly in this race and may be forced to do work at some stage. 

JOANS RISING STAR (8) took on a similar field last start at this track when not far off My Ultimate Mario. She should secure a good run through in the early stages from a good trailing draw in this race. 

MY ULTIMATE MARIO (6) was able to score last start after securing a good run off the speed last start. Draws awkwardly this time and looks likely to be forced to do work at some stage.

RACE 4 

HES REGAL (2) has good early speed and is generally hard to beat when able to lead over this journey. He was running on strongly late last start at Albion Park when weaving away from the inside at the right time. He wasn’t as well suited his run prior over the 2138 at Albion Park.

AMILLIONCHANCES (6) was forced to race without cover last start and wasn’t beaten far finishing 2.6 metres from the winner. He can do things wrong in his races which is often his undoing. He is likely to be forced to do the work again.

SHEROCKSMYWORLD (4) was a winner two starts ago when securing a good run and running over the top late. She draws awkwardly in this race and may be shuffled a long way back in the early stages.

MISTER DELWIN (8) took on a slightly easier race last start at Albion Park last start when running over the top late. He should secure a good run again in this race and will just need it run to suit.

RACE 5

WHYKIKAMOOCOW (1) was able to lead and win an easier race two starts ago in just moderate time. He looks likely to be able to drive through and lead before having options from there having previously run well with a trail. 

SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (7) should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse in Whykikamoocow. She wasn’t beaten far last start by Illbewatching in a race she started from a back row draw. 

ART ON FIRE (8) has been an improver in recent outings. He was able to lead two runs ago from a good draw and finished a close up second. He then ran well again last start making up good ground from back in the field which he will likely look to do again in this race.

SIX TIMES A LADY (5) ran second at Albion Park last start to Highnmighty when running on late having secured a good trip on the back of the eventual winner. She may be forced to do some early work again in this race from a wide barrier.

SUGGESTED BET: SHEEZ GOT TORQUE (7) to win.

RACE 6 

TACKAS LAST DANCE (5) was running on strongly last start behind The Blue Wren at this track and trip. She looks likely to be getting back in the run from a wide draw but that is generally how she does her best work in races and she should be hard to hold out again. 

GIDUP CAPTAIN (8) was a winner three starts ago at this track when scoring over Signor Jujon. He should get a good run through on the back of Copy Writer. Should be running on well if the race is run to suit. 

KIWI ROYALTY (7) needs luck from an awkward draw in this race. She was a winner four starts ago when running on best at Marburg which is usually a track that horses struggle to win coming wide over the concluding stages. 

COPY WRITER (2) has early speed and may look for the lead in the early stages. She is generally a horse that goes better when not used strongly at the start. If she can work to the lead without having used too much energy she can be hard to beat.

RACE 7

JUSTROLLINGAROUND (9) hasn’t been in her best form in recent outings. She was well beaten two starts ago when fading out of it late. She then didn’t have a lot of luck last start when hitting the line fairly. She may have derived benefit from those runs and her best is good enough for a race of this nature. 

THREE MACHS (6) ran well behind Imperious last start when coming from off the speed. She is racing well and despite the wide draw should get every chance should there be a reasonable early tempo to allow her to run into it late. 

TARIFA GIRL (3) has good early speed and may be able to work forward early to race in a prominent position in this race. She wasn’t beaten far last start when leading at Albion Park in a similar type of race. 

DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (4) was badly held up at a crucial stage last start when hitting the line strongly late. He will need the race run to suit and can be running on strongly late.

RACE 8

KINGSBURY (9) comes into this race first up from a spell having trialled moderately. He was well beaten behind the much higher assessed Gotta Hav Me and is likely to have derived benefit from that latest trial. 

FRANCS FOR COMING (2) has good gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages. He was narrowly beaten two starts ago when leading and should run well again in what looks to be a similar quality race. 

LITTLE WHIPPET (3) has been close to another win without having been quite able to break through in recent outings. He had no luck when checked at a crucial stage and his run prior was good enough to figure in a race of this nature. 

CHEEKY BABY (4) took on a stronger race last start when well beaten at Albion Park. She showed good ability last campaign when not beaten far in races without quite having been able to break through for a win this year.
