Form Analysis: Redcliffe November 2

RACE 1 

COSMIC FLYER (9) drops a long way in class into this race having contested stronger races recently. He recently had a number of starts in NSW and performed well against quality horses. Despite facing an outside back row draw in this race he is likely to be hard to hold out.

MARTY THE MARTIAN (1) had a tough trip last start over the 2040 at this track when pushed wider at a crucial stage. He draws 1 this time which he is likely to be hugely benefited from and should be able to hold a prominent position early.  

ROCK SUPREME (5) hasn’t been quite at his absolute best in recent starts. He is a horse that previously has shown he is capable of doing work in a race of similar quality which he may be forced to do from a wide gate in this race. 

LENNY LINCOLN (8) appears to draw favourably in this race which could generate a solid early tempo. If he can be sat up and saved for one run with good early speed in the race he can be running over the top late.

RACE 2 

ZAC DANIELS (1) showed gate speed last start before ducking in behind the leader and finishing off fairly late once into the clear. He was particularly impressive last time in and ran a number of good races when up on speed. He might be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of this race and should be hard to beat.

KEAYANG MOSCATO (7) should get a good run through early on the back of a horse that is likely to be keen to hold a forward position. She did some work last start and wasn’t beaten far by Racana when left to race off the fence. She looks suited in this race and should be hard to beat.

IMANI (9) was a good winner in decent time five starts ago when using the sprint lane to score at Albion Park. She comes into this race first up and looks well graded. She is usually well suited when driven for her sit sprint capacity and should be hard to beat in this race. 

LYDIAS ART (8) has options in this race at the start whether she elects to duck in onto the pegs or chooses to stay in the running line. She has been racing well and with the right run can figure in the minor money.

RACE 3

ERASMUS (3) showed excellent gate speed to find the front recently at Marburg giving a good kick before being run down by Mister Delwin. He is now having his second run for his new stable and finds another race which it appears likely he can find a forward position in the run. 

KEAYANG TARA (9) scored a good win three starts ago when running on from back in the field at this track and distance. She looks likely to need tempo on again in this race and she should be running into it late. 

VODKA EN ICE (5) got a long way back last start after drawing poorly at this track behind Fly Burra. He looks set to be shuffled back early or forced to do a lot of work in this race which could make things tough for him. Has got excellent gate speed but does draw outside of a few horses with speed.

MULLUM DOC (6) has drawn poorly in this race which will make it tough for him to get into the race. He is one of the better performed horses in the race and if the race was run upside down he could be running into it.

RACE 4 

LULU LUCIFER (1) hasn’t won for a long time this horse but appears to have found a suitable race and is a long way back in grade off some of her better efforts. She should have the gate speed to drive through and have options from there.

TEACHER PET (7) showed get a good run through early on the back of a gate speed horse that is seemingly quite well graded. She worked early recently over the 2138 at Albion Park and just faded late to miss the placings. This looks more suitable and she can be thereabouts. 

OCTOBER RACKETEER (10) draws poorly in this race outside the back row which appears likely to see him face a tough task getting into the race. He appears quite well graded and does have a solid turn of foot when racing at his best. He will need tempo on and can be running into it late. 

AQUA CRUISER (6) generally runs well at this track and distance and may look to press forward and find a prominent position. He looks reasonably well graded and if he can find a position early without having too use too much energy he should be hard to beat.

RACE 5

MAYWYNS KAREN (9) got a long way back in the run last start and ran on strongly into third behind Absolutely Stoked who has since won again. She should settle much closer in the run from the soft trailing draw on the back row and can be running into it late. 

PRESS STATEMENT (1) is terribly out of form and hasn’t been competitive in some time having not finished in the placings for over a year. He finds what is certainly the weakest race he has taken on nearly in his whole career and he draws gate 1. May not find a better opportunity to turn his form around.

ESTIVAL (3) was shuffled a long way back last start at Marburg in a race taken out by Montana One. Should get a better run in this race drawing closer to the rail. 

CONVAIR HUSTLER (6) draws awkwardly outside the front row in this race. He trialled reasonably when well beaten in a trial at Marburg behind the much higher assessed Hell Im Smooth.

SUGGESTED BET: MAYWYNS KAREN (9) to win.

RACE 6 

TAKE COURAGE (3) has good gate speed and might be able to zip across and lead this race. She hasn’t been at her best in recent starts but did put in a better effort last start when finishing midfield behind Royal Winkle. 

VANITY BAY (7) should get a reasonable run through in the early stages. He was forced to work hard last start and was well beaten there. He may be better suited when driven quietly early in his races at this stage in his career and gets that opportunity in this race. 

TODAYS HERO (8) ran well last start to finish fourth behind Montana One. Did secure a good run in that race and will likely find this a bit tougher. Can figure with the right run.

UNIT FORTY ONE (5) put in a moderate effort when returning and was beaten Batman Bart who was also first up in that race. They put a big gap on third but only rated moderate overall time. Draws wide in this race and may get shuffled back early.

RACE 7

HIGHNMIGHTY (6) was a winner three starts ago when sitting without cover and proving too good at Albion Park. He ran well again last start behind Cullectingcardles and Jacks Fyre. May need to do the work again in this race but looks capable. 

ROSIES BOY (3) ran a good third behind Dreamtime Nala two starts ago at this track over the 2040. He then took on a stronger race last time out which was won by Majic Jujon. Draws well and should be close enough.

PINKCHAMPAGNE (5) comes into this race first up from a spell off the back of a moderate trial. She generally seems to do her best racing when able to find a position up on speed which she may struggle to find in this race from a wide draw.

ICANANDIWILL (1) has a good draw and has good early speed. She ran well to finish midfield last start in a race Jacks Fyre was able to rate fast time for the grade. She should find this easier.

RACE 8

LETS GET SHORTY (3) has the key draw advantage on his main rivals in this race. He should be able to press forward at the start and find a prominent position. He was caught wide last start in a race they ran along fast sectionals through the middle and battled away fairly. 

HEAVENS BABY (9) is a capable sit sprinter when racing well. Her latest effort when finishing fourth behind Absolutely Stoked was an improvement on her recent form. She would appreciate there being a solid early tempo in the race to allow her to run into it late.

WILLROBY (8) returned from a spell last start when running sixth behind after securing a good run in a race taken out by Coult It Be Me. He is likely to have derived benefit from that first up outing but will need to have significantly improved to be figuring. 

FEELING THE POWER (5) draws awkwardly in this race and may be shuffled back in the early stages. He secured a good run last start and was well beaten when first up. This looks easier and he is likely to have taken benefit from his first up effort.

RACE 9

LOUMINATE (9) looks to have a clear edge on rivals in this race having run a number of good races so far in her first three career starts. She had a notable gear change in the washed out Albion Park meeting with the blinkers coming off having appeared to kick back once headed in her last two starts suggesting she may not have seen the eventual winners coming. She looks hard to beat.

FEARLESS DOLLY (7) put in a better effort last start when running fourth at Marburg behind It’s a Sponge Darl. She looks likely to secure an economical trip in this race and if she can work into the clear at some stage she can be around about the placings.

PRETENTIOUS BEAUTY (5) is first up for 2 years and may need the run. Trialled poorly ahead of a race track return beaten 83.2 metres rating just fair time even for a maiden. Showed ability in her first racing campaign and if she can work back into that form she will break maiden status quickly.

THE SWANSONG (6) has trialled up moderately ahead of a race track debut in this race. The draw appears to make things tough and she will need luck at some stage.
