Form Analysis: Albion Park December 12

12 December 2025

RACE ONE

Will today be the day that NONIS GOLD CLASS (3) shakes free of the bridesmaid tag and opens her account? Runner-up at her past five in succession, she has been sent out in red figures at the past two where she has made errors that have made the difference. It looks the right scenario for the breakthrough.

 BLACK VIPER (4)
stepped cleanly last start and was allowed to roll from the front and with the benefit of trotting throughout, was able to pull clear in the closing stages for an 11m margin. Building to that with three successive placings, he can chase the repeat.

 AFRICAN GALA (5)
showed what happens when young trotters bring their manners, stepping safely and dictating to win two starts back. They were not there last start, this time?

SELECTIONS: NONIS GOLD CLASS (3), BLACK VIPER (4), AFRICAN GALA (5)
SUGGESTED BET: NONIS GOLD CLASS (3) to win

RACE TWO

Placed in seven of 11 this season, SAINT MAHARG (1) looks to have secured the right set up to get on the board and land the elusive maiden breaking win. Collared in the closing stages last start at Redcliffe when setting the tempo and beaten a half-head, he can turn it around here.

 SIX SEVEN (6)
is a Tintin In America gelding on debut for the Dixon stable out of the mare Tic Tac Topaz which has produced two winners from two starters. A sound effort to earn the race ticket, he still has a bit to learn, but looks to find the right career starting point.

 CHECKINGOUTTHEBILL (3)
has shown some steady improvement in his four starts to date, the latest when just behind the placings as ROBIN JUJON arrived. He can be thereabouts.

 SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (7)
makes his first appearance on the big deck after both starts in his career have been at Redcliffe. On the back up from Wednesday, he has place claims.

SELECTIONS:
SAINT MAHARG (1), SIX SEVEN (6), CHECKINGOUTTHEBILL (3), SERGENTMAJOR JUJON (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SAINT MAHARG (1) to win

RACE THREE

Taking full advantage of a good start off the front tape, MAJESTIC BREEZE (8) pressed the issue to work to the front and once in control was never in danger. Scoring by an effortless 15m margin, she moves back 10m, but wider on the track can look to get forward and capitalise.

 ARIZONA SKYE (1)
stepped cleanly before releasing last start to eventual winner MAJESTIC BREEZE. Chasing gamely, she was the best of the chasing pack in holding on for the silver. With similar conditions, she can step early and look to issue some form of challenge.

 SASSY GALLEON (7)
should appreciate a drop back to this grade after tackling The Great Square last week. Getting it all wrong and never in the race, if she can bring better manners to the tapes, she is a huge threat.

 GAIT WITH GRACE (9)
eased to the fence last start and was trying to make an impression when down the line behind AJAY VOLSTEAD. Her manners keep her in the mix in this grade.

SELECTIONS: MAJESTIC BREEZE (8), ARIZONA SKYE (1), SASSY GALLEON (7), GAIT WITH GRACE (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MAJESTIC BREEZE (8) to win

RACE FOUR

An improved gate can be the catalyst for ROYAL PRINCESS (3) to bounce back into winning form against this opposition. Snagged back from gate 7 last start before making some late metres when 6m astern of the winner, positioning cheaply can see her capitalise here.

 ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (9)
was making a late raid along the passing lane here two starts back when grabbing 2nd behind MULLUM DOC. Beaten by the outside gate at Redcliffe last start and forced to work in the run, she can trail through early from this gate and look to challenge.

 GENTLE GIANT (10)
tried to take them all the way last start from gate 1 at the mile but was out of tickets turning for home as MACS A DUDE arrived. The right cart into this can see him feature.

 MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5)
had the closing speed to descend on them at Redcliffe two starts back and last start at Marburg held on for the bronze. With the right trip he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL PRINCESS (3), ALWAYS BE A TORQUE (9), GENTLE GIANT (10), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROYAL PRINCESS (3) to win

RACE FIVE

A winner over this same trip three starts back, TWILIGHT TANGO (3) was able to press on from gate 4 on that occasion, dictate from the front and hold a 4m margin. Beaten by gate 12 at her next start, the temp was too hot last start in front. Back to this trip and controlling the speed will give her every chance.

 MULLUM DOC (1)
found the 1x1 trail from a second line gate here three starts back and had the power in the stretch to reel them in and claim a 4m margin in PB time. Buried at his next start from inside the second line, he was bereft of luck last time at Marburg. The gate is a huge asset.

 HEZA MAYWYN (10)
eased to the fence to chase short cuts and was making late ground here last start when just behind the placings as IM BOO arrived. Attacking the line strongly at Redcliffe two starts back, he can chime in.

 FAVREAU (2)
was a winner at this trip six starts back when rolling forward from a wide gate, sitting parked and grinding out the win. Finding the right trip from this gate can see him feature.

SELECTIONS: TWILIGHT TANGO (3), MULLUM DOC (1), HEZA MAYWYN (10), FAVREAU (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
TWILIGHT TANGO (3) to win

RACE SIX

First up into the Peak of the Creek off the back of an impressive trial, STILLYOURSHOT (4) was unable to repel the early challenge from DAISY DIANA and from the trail in a 26.1 close out could not reel her in. Too far back as CHEERSTOLOU claimed the final, he would not have been out of place in bigger races in the past fortnight and a return to this grade will see him hard to stop.

 IM BOO (3)
rolled forward over this trip last time out and was asked to sit parked. Putting the leader to bed at the 400, he was under siege but had the fight to fend them off and claim a gritty victory. Second line draws had stung at his previous four in succession and back off the front again here can issue the challenge.

 LENNY LINCOLN (2)
sat in the pocket trail and had space to take his shot last time out but had to settle for the silver behind IM BOO. Limiting the early burn can see him feature.

 KASH TIN (5)
found the 1x1 trail last start from gate 6 and when set free had the closing speed to descend on them and grab a narrow margin. A similar trip can see him chime in once again.

SELECTIONS: STILLYOURSHOT (4), IM BOO (3), LENNY LINCOLN (2), KASH TIN (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
STILLYOURSHOT (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

Still chasing his first win here at HQ, BE GOOD MIKI (3) might just have found the right conditions to bring it up. With successive starts from inside the second line where he has been buried in the run on each occasion, he was making good metres last start when 5m astern of the winner. Runner-up behind CHEERSTOLOU four back, this is within reach.

 YANKEE C J (4)
was sent around them from the second line here two starts back at the 2138 and rolling the sleeves was able to grind out the win, pulling clear late to post a 6m margin. Game in defeat last start from the chair, he can force the issue again here to throw down the challenge.

 DRAMAS (2)
will have to give away plenty of experience to his rivals here as a one-win 2YO. Added to that he will be first up since June when breaking maiden ranks. With a tidy trial to prepare, the gate will help.

 MAYWYN TROUBADOR (9)
should take some benefit from his last start where he was returning from a spell and loomed ominously when runner-up to ROCK HAMMER. The right trip can see him chime in second up.

SELECTIONS:
BE GOOD MIKI (3), YANKEE C J (4), DRAMAS (2), MAYWYN TROUBADOR (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
BE GOOD MIKI (3) to win
