Form Analysis: Albion Park December 23

23 December 2025

RACE ONE

Finishing midfield last start after leading them up from the front tape, NATTY PAGGER (1) was out of tickets before the home bend. At his best when tucked in behind the speed, he can use his manners to settle up near the speed and should get his chance to cause an upset.

 WHIRLWIND WILBUR (10)
finds similar conditions to those he faced last week where he was able to work forward to sit parked and grind out the prize, pulling clear in the latter stages. A winner three starts back off 20m, he can rinse and repeat.

 DAIMYO (9)
tackled the Redcliffe Christmas Cup last start where he was sent to the front from the mobile but could not hold out HAMMER SON after setting an even tempo. 30m stings here.

 IGNITE (4)
was sent to the post as fav last week and found the trail when holding on for the silver, finishing 6m astern of the winner. Placed in three of his past four, he gets his chance.

SELECTIONS: NATTY PAGGER (1), WHIRLWIND WILBUR (10), DAIMYO (9), IGNITE (4)

SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Can today be the day for WICKED WHISKEY (7) to open the account? Placed in four of nine for the term, he was asked to sit parked here last time and was game in defeat when just a half-neck from the winner. The gate stings, but if he can get the right trip, he can arrive.

 CHECKINGOUTTHEBILL (4)
will be looking to make full use of the conditions after breaking through for the maiden victory on Friday, Securing the ideal trip in behind the speed in that contest, he darted through to score and despite a tricky gate, should be full of confidence.

 PERFECT LOU (3)
was beaten by gate 7 last start when retreating for position and then unable to make an impact against the tempo. Runner-up two starts back, he has early speed to feature.

WAR ZONE (6) is an Always B Miki gelding on debut for Trent Dawson. A half to six previous winners, his trials have been enough to suggest he can feature first up.

SELECTIONS:
WICKED WHISKEY (7), CHECKINGOUTTHEBILL (4), PERFECT LOU (3), WAR ZONE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: WICKED WHISKEY (7) to win

RACE THREE

A tough race to assess but if the right MULLUM DOC (4) turns up, this is a race well within reach. A winner from the second line here four starts back after securing the 1x1 trail, last start he was trying to rally on the passing lane when 3m from the winner. Limiting the early burn will be key.

 ROYAL PRINCESS (6)
was sent to the front over the mile here last start and taking control was able to justify the punters faith to post a 7m margin. Beaten by gate 7 the start prior when unable to secure position, the wide gate is a concern here, but she has the record to be a force.

 JUSTROLLINGAROUND (5)
started from inside the second line last time out and was making good metres over the closing stages. 2nd in both previous appearances, she can be chiming in.

 ROCKTIME (10)
held the trail from gate 1 last start at Marburg and never got a clean shot when finishing 4m from the winner. With a sound record on this deck, tempo will assist his claims.

SELECTIONS: MULLUM DOC (4), ROYAL PRINCESS (6), JUSTROLLINGAROUND (5), ROCKTIME (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MULLUM DOC (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Changing barns to join the Jason Carkeet team, QUADDIE VC (4) was a Newcastle winner three starts back at the 2030 when descending on them in the closing stages to score. Not suited from inside the second line last start, he has good arm hustle and pressing forward can look to stake claim.

 ALBY TWO CHAINS (6)
has been in great form since arriving in Qld, including a win at the mile three starts back when charging home over the top for a 1.50.6 PB. Placed in both subsequent starts, the latest when working in the run and fighting to the wire. Despite the gate, he can throw it down.

 TIGER BAND WAGON (5)
was sent hard off the arm in search of the front here last week and taking control was able to fend off the challengers for a 3m margin, highlighted by a 53.8 closing half.

SELECTIONS: QUADDIE VC (4), ALBY TWO CHAINS (6), TIGER BAND WAGON (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
QUADDIE VC (4) to win

RACE FIVE

Staring from this same gate last time out, VICTREE CHARLIE (1) was son shuffled to three back along the markers. Trying to reel them in when grabbing the silver and finishing 4m from MONOPOLLIE, his effort three back for 2nd was solid. Just needs the gap and momentum.

 LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (5)
sat parked from this gate last start and was still giving deep into the stretch and despite missing a cheque, was only 4m from the winner. Beaten a blister here two starts back when exposed early, he can get forward to throw down the challenge again here.

 GRACENAVA (4)
is a last start Marburg winner where she was forced to work hard in the run when parked and grind out the W. Setting near the action can see her feature in this.

 BRACKEN WARRIOR (10)
was faced with gate 7 last start when easing for position before making good ground wide off the track. Following through early for position, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: VICTREE CHARLIE (1), LLANFAIR LLEWELLAN (5), GRACENAVA (4), BRACKEN WARRIOR (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics1-4-5-10

RACE SIX

Despite the 20m impost, the conditions look right for REGAZZO DI TILLY (8) to bounce back into winning form. Working hard in the middle stages here last week when holding on for the bronze, the start prior was in the Blacks A Fake from a second line gate. This looks well within reach.

 AMAMI (7)
was making his first appearance from the tapes here three starts back where he was rattling home in the stretch to be 1m from the winner. Luckless at his next start but still not far away, he was again strong to the line here on Friday when settling at the rear from gate 7.

 ARKIN WICKED (2)
has placed at his past two starts, the latest when stepping cleanly before releasing eventual winner TURN IT UP. With the right manners, he can feature again.

 ROCK SUPREME (5)
had no answer on Saturday when a 54.2 closing half was recorded from the front. Making the most of his trip two back to score, he can chime in under these conditions.

SELECTIONS: REGAZZO DI TILLY (8), AMAMI (7), ARKIN WICKED (2), ROCK SUPREME (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
REGAZZO DI TILLY (8) to win

RACE SEVEN

A wide gate dents the back-to-back hopes for MONOPOLLIE (6), who was able to overcome the outside of the second line last start to score. Powering home over the top to take a 4m margin, the start prior was a strong effort for 3rd at the 2138 after a checkered trip. He is up to the task.

 MACS A DUDE (5)
started from inside the second line last time out and was eased away from the poles, finishing midfield behind BUDDY PERFECT. Luckless from gate 6 the start prior, three back he was able to defy gate 7 when charging home to arrive for the W. He is right in the fight.

 CANADIAN LASS (9)
has worked her way into some better form, placed in all three starts since a Redcliffe victory. Forced to do it the tough way last start, she can join in here.

 DANCIN WITH LUSH (1)
is chasing a hat-trick after successive wins at Marburg. Both of those victories have been from an inside second line gate and moving to the front is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: MONOPOLLIE (6), MACS A DUDE (5), CANADIAN LASS (9), DANCIN WITH LUSH (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MONOPOLLIE (6) to win

RACE EIGHT

The figure form next to MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) does not tell the true story, with his efforts better than the numerical return. Only 8m from the winner last start after being exposed early, the start prior he was forced to ease for position. Back to the ace with the options, he can turn it around.

 BUDDY PERFECT (5)
was sent forward from gate 6 here last week at the 2138 and pressing to the front was able to fend them off to post a 2m margin. Eased off the inside the start prior and sent forward to sit parked, he was fighting hard to hold a midfield position. He can challenge.

 EPIC ERNIE (8)
was buried from gate 1 last start and when finding space picked off some late metres to be 5m astern of the winner. With an economical trip, he will be probing.

 MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (4)
overcame a tough second line barrier last start at Redcliffe when swooping on the field and pulling clear to post a 6m margin. Positioning cheaply will be key.

SELECTIONS:
MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1), BUDDY PERFECT (5), EPIC ERNIE (8), MY ULTIMATE COSSIE (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (1) to win

RACE NINE

Claiming a breakthrough to secure his first victory since crossing the ditch, STILLYOURSHOT (2) can look to make it a quick back-up for the second. Starting in red figures in three of his four appearances in Qld, he was too tough in grinding out the win here on Friday and can repeat.

 SOHO CASABLANCA (4)
returns from a let up after his last appearance in October where he was just a head from the winner MULLUM HANK. Setting the tempo and collared by BRONSKI ZULU three starts back, he may need the run to tighten but will be fighting throughout.

 POST PAINTER (6)
has been runner-up in both starts for the new barn, the latest where she was banished to the trials. Earning the return, the gate does her no favours for this.

 SWEET ADDITION (8)
has faced second line draws at her last three in succession. The task was too great against the tempo last start and from this gate she will be probing for openings.

SELECTIONS:
STILLYOURSHOT (2), SOHO CASABLANCA (4), POST PAINTER (6), SWEET ADDITION (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
STILLYOURSHOT (2) to win
