Form Analysis: Redcliffe December 24

RACE 1 

CULLECTINGCARDLES (1) was an impressive winner two starts ago when closing over the top to score. She was then left without cover last start and was less suited in that position. If she can lead she should be hard to run down. 

ROSIE POLLEN (9) ran a much better race when back down in class last start closing strongly into second. She will be hoping for a genuine early tempo in this race which should allow her to be running into it late. 

TIGER TOMMY (5) was impressive two starts ago when running a good second in fast time at this track and trip. She ran well again for third last start and will be hoping for a genuine early tempo to bring her into the race. 

MIKIS JOE (6) has good ability but generally needs a few things to go his way in his races despite often appearing to have a class edge on rivals. He scored a good win three starts ago when closing best before running two good placings his last two.

RACE 2 

MUCH BETTOR (8) appears extremely well graded in this race having done a lot of his racing in tougher company. He got back last start and was doing his best work late when beaten by Buddy Perfect at Albion Park. He should be hard to hold out.

LITTLEMICKEY (9) was unlucky last start when shuffled 3 back the pegs in the early stages. He was a dominant winner his start prior when running over the top in a weaker race at Marburg. He follows the likely favourite in the race Much Bettor and should be hard to hold out late. 

LA SABINA (2) was able to break through for a win last start having not won for a considerable period of time. She has good gate speed and may look to press forward in this race and find a prominent position. She should run well again.

SNIP OF BEAUTY (7) impressed last start when running fourth. She follows a gate speed horse out in the early stages of the race and should be running on well again if she can get into the clear at the right time.

RACE 3

BEER MONEY (4) has very good gate speed and may look to launch forward early and find the front which is how he was able to score his most recent win four starts ago when leading all the way. He doesn’t seem to race as well when coming wide off the track and could be a big improver out in front.

ARKUNA (3) doesn’t have much gate speed which saw her crossed two back and forced to race in the breeze when running a good second. She then made a break in the run and didn’t finish the race seeing her sent back to trials. She won her recent trial over Ideal Bronski and should see her hard to beat in this race. 

SANDERS (7) led last start and appeared to have every chance there when controlling the speed and being run down by Taylors Four who was forced to face the breeze in that race. He will need to improve off his latest outing to be a winning chance in this race from a poor draw. 

SARGEANT (10) had no luck last start when working hard before being forced to sit without cover. He should get a much more economical run in the early stages of this race from the back row draw.

RACE 4 

WILLIEWA LIGHTNING (8) found the front last start and battled away for second behind dominant winner Major Slip Up. He should find this race a lot easier and with the right run into the race he should be hard to hold out.

MY ULTIMATE RUDI (9) broke through for another well deserved win last start when sitting without cover and proving too good at Marburg. He rated good enough time there and should secure a good run into the race off the speed and if there is any early tempo he should be hard to hold out again.

MALIBU DREAM (5) draws wide in this race which is likely to see her shuffled back and relying on a genuine early tempo to bring her into the race. She was a good winner three starts ago having raced well leading into that win.

BETTING BARON (2) found the front last start after working hard early and setting a strong tempo out in front. He finds an easier race and may be able to lead on his terms this time which would likely see him hard to run down.

RACE 5

HEAVENS BABY (5) has been poor in her latest two outings when beaten a long way. She has since had a few weeks between runs and may have been freshened up. Her win three starts ago at the 1780 was dominant and would likely see her extremely hard to hold out in a race of this nature.

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (6) was a winner two starts ago when closing best to score. He usually does his best racing when sat up and saved for one run which could see him get a long way back and relying on a genuine early tempo.

CRIME TIME (9) ran well last start when finishing second after securing a good run on the pegs. He is back in grade off some of his better efforts and should be competitive in this company despite the poor draw. 

AUNTY FRANCES (4) worked hard off the gate to lead last start and was well beaten. She ran a much better race her start prior when being sat up and saved for one run at them late and driven in a similar manner can bounce back in this race.

RACE 6 

JUST PINNY (9) ran well last start when leading and run down by Wicked Susan who won impressively. He should find this race a lot easier than his latest outing and looks likely to get a great run into it on the back of Fifty Each Way who is likely to be one of the other fancies in the race. 

VICTREE BUSTA (3) has gate speed and led last start at Marburg before being run down by Littlemickey. He should be able to work to the lead again in this race and can be competitive in this company from that position.

FIFTY EACH WAY (8) was badly held up last start when dragged out of the race by the tiring leader. She ran third her start prior when closing off well from back in the field. She looks suited by the soft trailing draw and should be in the finish.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE (7) looks to have an awkward draw in this race inside the back row and returns to racing after nearly a month off.

RACE 7

THE CASUAL GOOSE (1) doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but is likely to look to drive through and hold a forward position. She is a long way back in grade off some of her better efforts and looks hard to beat if she can secure the right run.

ROSARITO (7) should get a good run through in the early stages on the back of a horse that is likely to be keen to hold a forward position. He ran a good second two starts ago behind One Chain Road and a similar effort should see him hard to beat again.

JILLIBY TSUNAMI (9) has been racing well having scored a dominant win three starts ago before taking on tougher races from poor draws his last two. He ran well last start when finishing fourth behind Major Slip Up who would likely be a short priced favourite in this race.

CONNIES SPIRIT (8) appears to have drawn favourably in this race to get a soft run in the early stages. She was first up last start when running seventh and is likely to have derived benefit from that outing.

RACE 8

WICKED DE LIL (6) is undoubtedly the best horse on ability in this race but is seemingly still learning and doing a few things wrong. She launched from a wide gate last start and over raced badly after setting a fast tempo for a maiden. She can figure if she brings better manners. 

WICKED MACK (1) has been in the placings his last four starts and is racing consistently. He was well beaten last start behind Rocknroll Knight who was a dominant winner. He has good gate speed should be able to lead and be hard to run down.

TENGGERI (2) has been racing fairly in moderate maidens. Looks likely to be close enough in this race and his best could be good enough to figure in the placings.

TIGER ATTACK (9) was able to secure a good run on the back of Rocknroll Knight who won impressively. She is unlikely to secure such a good run in this race but has been racing consistently.

RACE 9

STAY DREAMY (1) was impressive last start when being forced to do the work in the run and battling away for a good second behind The Rizzler. She should be able to lead this time and will be hard to run down. 

GOODTIME DOLLY (2) led last start and was beaten by Floras Folly in what became a dash up the straight. She is likely to have derived benefit from that first up outing and should be thereabouts again. 

CHERRIES ON TOP (6) is out of handy mare Cherrys The Best. She appeared quite green in her first campaign when being well beaten in two runs. She trialled impressively recently when making a break in the run and hitting the line nicely late. 

BOSTON FIRE (9) was well beaten last start in what appears likely to be a good form reference in a maiden taken out by The Rizzler. He should secure a good run and can run into the minor money.
