Rockhampton Greyhound Calendar Updates
RQ advises that on Wednesday, 31 December 2025, the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club will host a shortened race meeting of a maximum of 10 races to accommodate the local fireworks show organised by the Rockhampton Regional Council. The expanded time gap between Race 1 and Race 2 has been deliberately scheduled with greyhound welfare as the utmost priority.
Key times for the meeting:
- Race 1 – approximately 7:00pm
- Race 2 – approximately 8:02pm
The Rockhampton Regional Council Fireworks Show will commence at approximately 7:30pm. Reaney Street will be temporarily closed during the fireworks display. Emergency services will continue to have full access at all times.
Additionally, after consultation between RQ, the Rockhampton Greyhound Racing Club and the QRIC, the greyhound race meeting scheduled for Sunday, 18 January, 2026 has been cancelled. This is due to the Rockhampton Thoroughbreds race meeting being held on the same date.
