Form Analysis: Redcliffe January 15

RACE 1 

MIGHTY IDEAL (5) has good early speed and should be able to find a prominent position in this race despite the wide draw. He ran a solid second to Wicked Whisky recently at this track and that looks good enough form for a race of this nature.

DIAMANTINA DAISY (4) sat without cover last start at Albion Park and ran a good fourth there. She may be forced to do the work again from an awkward draw but looks capable and goes in as one of the better chances. 

WICKED DE LIL (2) has good early speed and should be able to find the front in the early stages of the race. She has showed an inability to settle in her races so far in her career which could again be detrimental to her chances. 

HYPNOTIZE ME (8) galloped last start and that was the end of his chances in that race. He had shaped promisingly as a pacer his start prior when running a solid third to Wicked Whisky.

RACE 2 

FANCY LIKE BARBIE (9) comes into this race fourth up from a spell and should be working towards peak fitness. She finished midfield last start behind Smarter Than You which looks quite good form for a race of this nature. She should be running on late. 

SINGER SNAP (8) has poor numerical form but finds a race which is likely to suit her. She follows out a gate speed horse in the early stages and should be close enough to be running into the race late. 

ENZED FLYER (5) led early before taking a trail and finishing last. He was first up in that outing and is likely to have derived benefit from the run. If he was able to work to the lead he would likely be hard to run down.

WECANONLYDREAM (6) has been taking on stronger fields in recent outings and should find this a lot easier. He draws poorly in this race which does offset the potential drop in class.

RACE 3

RADIANT AMBER (5) has high speed and showed that last start when getting a long way back in a very slowly run race and flying into second late narrowly beaten by Denver Colorado who had the run of the race on the leaders back. She will be hoping for a more genuine tempo this time and can be running on late. 

ZAC DANIELS (1) has a good draw in this race and should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages. He has run some good races leading and seems to go best in that position. He battled on well last start behind Missed Consequences to finish fourth. 

DENVER COLORADO (4) was able to score at this track recently when landing the ideal run on the leaders back and was able to hold out Radiant Amber late. He draws awkwardly this time and will need a few things to go his way this time to score. 

BLACKJACK BART (2) has zero gate speed which has been his Achilles heel throughout his career. He will be hoping to hold the back of Zac Daniels in the early stages and if he could manage to do that he would become a hope of earning.

RACE 4 

OUR AUNTY PENNY (6) trialled nicely recently behind Paddys Diamond at this track. Draws widest in this race which looks awkward and she may need luck at some stage to get into the race. 

SAFETOSAYIMFANCY (4) is first up from a spell in this race which looks a query. She seemingly brings the best form into the race having run well in faster time than a lot of her rivals and if she is ready to go first up she would be hard to beat 

THREOEIGHT (1) hasn’t been in peak form in recent outings and would likely need a significant turnaround in form to be a winning hope in this race. He has been freshened up having not started in almost a month.

KINGSBURY (8) hasn’t shown much toughness in his races and seemingly needs everything to go right for him to be a chance of earning. This does look a fairly weak contest and he may be a chance of figuring.

RACE 5

SPECIALANDIKNOWIT (4) has gate speed and will likely look to utilise that in the early stages and hold the advantage on her main rivals in this race. She drew poorly last start outside the back row at this track and was running on well late. 

OUR DOLLY (5) races well over this track and trip. She found it tough last start doing the work at Albion Park over the 2138 and fading out of it late. This looks a touch easier and she is likely to press forward and race prominently again.

TRACER BULLET (10) generally does his best work when able to put himself up on speed which he should get the opportunity to do in this race. He ran a good second two starts ago behind Doolittle Doozzie two starts ago and a similar effort would see him competitive in this race. 

HEAVENS BABY (8) isn’t well suited at this trip and generally seems to be best over the shorter journeys. Her last few have been good and if she could secure the right run she would be one of the hopes in this race.

RACE 6 

JACKS FYRE (1) has good gate speed and should be able to do enough to lead. He has been taken on recently when attempting to lead and despite working early he has either been very unlucky or has still finished off nicely. He should get an easier lead this time and will be hard to run down.

GRAFFITI LANE (5) should be able to find a prominent position in this race despite the wide draw. He went around favourite last start and appeared to have his chance there when being run down by The Blingster at this track. He will need to lift to take out this race. 

PLANET DOWNS (9) was well beaten last start in a race taken out by Burns Bay at this track. He has been freshened since his latest outing and does seemingly find a race with a lot less depth than that race.

BLING THE NOISE (8) ran well in a race taken out by Smarter Than You last start running on well into third. He should get a good run again off the speed in this race and will be running into it late.

SUGGESTED BET: JACKS FYRE (1) to win.

RACE 7

MAJOR SLIP UP (1) has the gate speed to drive through and lead this race in the early stages. He was a good winner three starts ago at this track when sitting without cover and just proving too good for them. 

MISTER DELWIN (7) should get a good run through on the back of Major Slip Up who is likely to be keen to hold a forward position. He was a good winner three starts ago and has since run well. He looks likely to get every chance in this race. 

LITTLEMICKEY (4) was a dominant winner four starts ago when running on from off the speed at Marburg. He is likely to get back again in this race and will be relying on a genuine early tempo to bring him into the race. He looks one of the better chances. 

ILLBEWATCHING (8) was a winner last start when finding the front and taking them all the way. He steps back up in grade into this race and draws favourably to have options in the early stages.

RACE 8

MIKIS JOE (5) has run good time when racing up on speed at this track and trip. He has shown in the past he is capable of doing the work in races and still fighting out the finish and should be hard to beat in this company. 

BARRETT (4) should be able to work forward and secure a good run close to the speed in this race. He was forced to do the work two starts ago at Marburg a position he isn’t best suited to and battled away well for second. He has been freshened since his last run and should be hard to beat.

MISS SYRAH (2) has good gate speed and should be able to find the front in this race and has run well leading a number of times. Her best efforts have probably been against slightly weaker company than this and she will need to step up a touch to lead all the way in this race. 

BEV THE GOAT (8) has poor numerical form but should find this race easier than some of her recent outings. She is suited at the distance and if she put herself up on speed at some stage she should be hard to beat.
