Form Analysis: Redcliffe January 29

RACE 1 

DEAL IT VINNIE (4) has been good in two runs since a spell and looks to have found a suitable race. He took on a much stronger race last time out and was well beaten but was entitled to be given the class of his rivals. Looks hard to beat.

SUMMER PUNCH (1) returns from a spell in this race having shown some promise last time in. Her second placing at Albion Park was good enough to suggest she should be thereabouts the placings in this race. 

CALI CAPERS (7) comes into this first up for a new stable. Trialled up just fairly leading into this race but should get the perfect run and is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from the recent trial.

BLUE CHIP DANCE (2) has performed moderately so far in her career and seemingly has needed a few favours through the run to figure in the money. She should get a good run from the low draw and looks a player for the minor money.

RACE 2 

KING BLING (8) worked into third last start when first up from a spell and is likely to have derived plenty of benefit from the outing. He should get a good run through early in this race and is going to be hard to hold out late. 

TEQUILA EN ICE (2) has good early speed but does draw outside of a horse that seems to begin just as well. He seems to run his best races up on speed and can run well again if he can get to that position.

PRIORITY BETTING (1) has good gate and showed that three starts ago to lead and run a close up second. He has since found it tougher since but likely gets back into a position in this race where he can be very competitive.

THE POST GIRL (7) should get a good run through in the early stages of this race on the back of a gate speed horse. She trialled up moderately in preparation for her return to the races and should be thereabouts the minor money with the right run.

RACE 3

HES MY REASON (6) has been building towards a win and appears to find a race where he is likely to be well favoured in the market. He draws outside the front row but should be able to press forward work to the lead and is going to be very hard to beat.

TAURUS BROMAC (5) comes into this race third up from a spell having run seventh before finishing a more competitive second last time out behind Wandary Delight. He draws awkwardly and may get shuffled back.

SKYLAR BREE (8) ran fourth after racing without a huge amount of luck last time out at this track. She draws favourably in this race and should be running on late.

LONG TIME COMING (1) has good early speed and can likely hold a position before handing over to the short priced favourite. He comes into this race third up from a spell and should be nearing peak fitness.

SUGGESTED BET: LONG TIME COMING (1) to place. 

RACE 4 

SON OF XENA (7) looks to have found a very suitable race second up from a spell. He just found one better last start when forced to work hard at a crucial part of the race. He draws inside back row here but is likely to come off early and should be too good for his rivals.

OUR ULTIMATE KIMMY (2) ran well last start when first up from a spell at Albion Park. In the same race that the likely short priced favourite Son Of Xena went around in. Draws to get plenty of favours in the run.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE (9) should get a good run off the speed in this race. She has shown ability and is a horse that would likely appreciate a genuine tempo.

PISCINA (4) ran well last start when well beaten at Albion Park. This race appears to have less depth and should be running on late.

SUGGESTED BET: PISCINA (4) to place.

RACE 5

COURAGEOUS LEO (1) hasn’t won in a long time but appears to have found a race which he may be suited in. He finished off nicely late into third last time out and comes into this race fourth up from a spell. He is a horse with good early speed and can hold a forward position.

YOGI (7) should get a good run through on the back of a horse that is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race. He ran well last start and having had a few runs for his new stable he may be ready to peak.

ROLLONX (2) has excellent early speed and is a noted front runner. He does find a race where this is a lot of speed on the front row and that may make it awkward for him early but he has options and should run well again.

TRACER BULLET (8) ran on into second last start after getting shuffled back on the pegs. He seems to put in his best efforts when able to find the pegs which looks unlikely in this race.

RACE 6 

MISTERPRESIDENT (2) looks to have a significant class edge on his rivals in this race having taken on stronger company. He trialled up nicely behind Zeus Lightning at Albion Park when running third and having likely derived benefit from the outing he should be hard to beat in this race. 

SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (9) has every chance to get past Ebony Belle last time out but just wasn’t quite able to reel the leader in. She looks likely to get a soft run off the speed in this race and is getting fitter.

KONNYMARA (7) ran well last start when finishing close second to Ester Jean at this track. He draws awkwardly inside the back row behind a horse that isn’t likely to be favoured in the market. 

MAYWYNS ACE (4) took on a moderate race first up from a spell and was running on late into third. He is likely to have benefited from the run there and should be thereabouts again.

SELECTIONS: MISTERPRESIDENT (2), SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (9), KONNYMARA (7), MAYWYNS ACE (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MISTERPRESIDENT (2) to win.

RACE 7

WELL SAID NUGGET (9) looked an unlikely winner last start when turning for home a long way off the leaders back was able to pick up nicely and ran over the top late. He looks likely to get a similar type of run in this race given the soft trailing draw and can be running on late. 

FAVREAU (4) looks well graded in this race having won four starts ago in what was seemingly tougher company than this. He generally likes to put himself up on speed and should be competitive again from there in this race. 

WANDARY DELIGHT (2) bounced back last start to score a dominant win. She steps up in grade but with a repeat of her latest effort she should be very competitive in this race again.

MAJOR LINCOLN (8) has bounced back to some of his better form scoring a good win three starts ago. He should get a good run off the speed

RACE 8

LITTLE HOOFANANNY (1) showed gate speed last start before restraining out of the early speed battle. She isn’t blessed with brilliant gate speed which has meant she is yet to lead in QLD. She may get an opportunity in this race and if she does she should be hard to run down.

LENNY LINCOLN (7) should get a good run through on the back of a horse that is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race. He hasn’t been in his best form but looks better graded in this race and can bounce back.

MIKIS JOE (6) ran well last start after making an early error which saw him losing plenty of ground. He draws poorly in this race as a result of his early error last start and will need to be goof to get into the race from the draw.

MAYWYN TROUBADOUR (8) was a good recent winner four starts ago when running down Missed Consequences who has been in excellent form. He is suited off the back row draw doing no work early and should be running on late.
