Form Analysis: Redcliffe January 8

RACE 1 

SHEEZANIDEALTORQUE (5) was well beaten last start when drawing wide on the track in a stronger race and making no impression. She had run well in November her start prior when finishing third to Yankee C J over the 2138 at Albion Park. She appears the class runner in this race and should be hard to beat.

NEED NOT TO WARRY (4) ran well for second last time out when getting a good run in the race and finishing off well. He should secure a similar type of run in this race and should be running on again.

CAPTAIN FOXTROT (3) was left to do the work last time out at Marburg and tired late when running third behind Rollonx. A similar effort would likely see him competitive in a race of this nature dropping back into a restricted wins race. 

WANDARY DELIGHT (2) draws well in this race but is seemingly a fair way off her better form at the moment. She battled away fairly last start into fourth after securing a good run.

RACE 2 

MIARKA (1) put in a disappointing run when well beaten into third first up from a spell last start. She had run well leading previously and showed promise in her first campaign. She is likely to have derived benefit from the first up outing and should get her chance again from another good draw. 

HYNOTIZE ME (7) was having his first start as a pacer last time out when finishing third behind Wicked Whisky. He should get a good run behind Miarka in this race and will be hard to beat if the runs come at the right time. 

LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (3) trialled fairly when well beaten by Ideal Bronski and finishing alongside stablemate Thetorque Majority who is a much higher assessed horse. He looks well placed in this company and should run well first up.

MIGHTY IDEAL (5) secured a good run last start behind the leader and was able to finish off well to get into second behind Wicked Whisky. Hasn’t landed as good a gate this time and may find it a touch tougher.

RACE 3

MISSED CONSEQUENCES (6) has been impressive since joining the stable of Donny Smith. She worked hard through the middle last start to find the front and proved too good there. She draws widest this time in a race with good gate speed drawn underneath her which could see her face a tougher task this time. 

GLENLEDI BOY (4) was put into the race possibly a touch earlier than he might be best suited last start and just faded late into fourth. He was a good winner his start prior when racing at Marburg. He should get back and can be running on again. 

THERESACHANCE (1) has gate speed and can zip out before having options from there. He generally looks to hold the lead over the short course and can look do the same again. He was a winner four starts ago when leading all the way at this track.

MARTY THE MARTIAN (7) comes into this race first up from a spell and draws to get a soft run. If he is fit enough first up he could be value to fill a position in the minor money.

SUGGESTED BET: GLENLEDI BOY (4) to place.

RACE 4 

MACH ASSASSIN (1) has good gate speed and an ideal draw in this race. He was running on well two starts ago in a 1.53 mile rate before not being ideally suited when getting back in a slowly run race. He should be hard to run down in this race. 

MOOPS (2) has options in a small field whether he elects to drop into the pegs or stay in the running line. Led all the way last start at this track and should be thereabouts again with the right run.

SEASIDE GLORY (5) led last start and was possibly a touch disappointing when missing the placings there given the quality of horse she is at her best. She led and won four starts ago in good time ay Albion Park. The draw looks awkward and she will need luck at some stage.

GEM PUNTER PETE (6) was able to lead all the way last start at Albion Park from the stand start. He has always seemingly been better when driven with a sit and may get that opportunity in this race from the wide draw.

SUGGESTED BET: MACH ASSASSIN (1) to win.

RACE 5

HEAVENS BABY (6) was an impressive second two starts ago when running into it strongly behind Aunty Frances who has since run well. She draws wide again in this race but if the tempo is on she should be running into it late again. 

ROCKNROLL DA GAMA (5) generally runs his best races when getting back and running on late. He was a winner four starts ago when running on nicely late at this track to score. It looks a race likely to generate a good early tempo which should bring him into the race. 

MAJOR LINCOLN (2) is a long way back in grade off some of his better form. He doesn’t have brilliant gate speed but may be able to get forward in this race and could run a good race up on speed. 

VERMONT (7) draws awkwardly inside the back row in this race and will need luck at the right time to get into the clear. She was able to lead all the way two starts ago at Marburg in an effort that would likely see her competitive in a race of this nature.

SUGGESTED BET: HEAVENS BABY (6) to win.

RACE 6

TEQUILA EN ICE (5) is first up from a spell in this race. He trialled quite well behind Paddys Diamond and should have derived plenty of benefit from that outing. He draws wide but should be thereabouts on return. 

ESTER JEAN (8) she appeared to be travelling well throughout before hitting the line well. She is likely building towards peak fitness and with a soft trailing draw in this race can be running on well late. 

KEEPING IT SIMPLE (7) didn’t have the best luck last start and I thought hit the line quite well late. Is likely to need similar luck from another awkward draw in this race but if that luck comes should be running on well again.

PRIORITY BETTING (2) has not shown much in the way of form since landing back in QLD. He was slightly better than he had been in runs prior last start and does meet a weak race but will need to go better than he has been to be winning despite the moderate field.

SUGGESTED BET: ESTER JEAN (8) to win.

RACE 7

SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (3) isn’t a horse bkessed with great gate speed and finds a race with a bit of speed off the front row. She does draw alongside the other horse with gate speed in the race and if she was able to drive through and lead she would likely be very hard to run down.

AMILLIONCHANCES (9) ran well last start when closing strongly into second behind Gentle Giant at this track. He’s a horse that’s always shown good ability and when doing everything right is very well suited in this type of grade. He should be hard 

MAN OF ACTION (4) has very good gate speed and will likely be looking to launch to the lead in the early stages of this race. He races well at this track and should be hard to beat again. 

THREE MACHS (6) has been in great form and continues to race well despite her older age. She attacked the line powerfully last start once presented into the clear and should be running on late again in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: SKIPPERS SWAN SONG (3) to win.

RACE 8

MALIBU DREAM (2) handed over last start and hit the line nicely late up the sprint lane. She should be able to get forward again in this race before having options from there. She is close to a win and should be hard to beat again.

ART OF ROCK (3) has some gate speed and has been racing in solid form. He may look to press forward in this race and should obtain a good run up on the speed somewhere. 

MAJOR SLIP UP (4) has raced well at this trip in the past and scored a good win when leading all the way four starts ago. He generally does his best work when racing up on speed and should find this easier than his latest outing where he had no luck. 

JO ROCKS (1) was forced to sit without cover two starts ago and was well beaten as a result there. She has since trialled and ran second to Rocksngems in what was a solid effort.

SUGGESTED BET: MALIBU DREAM (2) to win. 

RACE 9

SANDERS (8) was a winner three and four starts ago both at this track before running a close up second then having less luck last time out. He draws more favourably this time and should be running into it late again.

GENTLE GIANT (9) was a last start winner when doing the work at this track and proving too good for them. He steps up in trip here but the way he has been racing he should be very hard to hold out again however the race is run.

JET FORCE (10) has worked back into form scoring two consecutive wins his last two starts. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and if there is a genuine tempo he should be hard to hold out late. 

FAVREAU (5) was able to score another win last time out when doing the work at this track and distance and proving too good. He may have turned a corner with that win and should run well again.
