Form Anlaysis: Albion Park January 30

30 January 2026

RACE ONE

JILLIBY GIDDEY (5) was the winner after pressing to the front here last time out, seeing them off with a 55.1 close out from the front. The first four across the line will all do battle again in this contest and despite facing a middle of the line barrier, the added fitness and winning confidence can see him lead them home once again.

 COUNTY COURT JUDGE (6)
was faced with the outside second line gate here last time out and was doing his share of work to get around to sit outside the speed. Game in defeat when 2m astern of the winner that again draws inside, his previous two were placings behind MOONSHINER and he can throw it down again.

 BUBBA NAY (7)
has placed at her past three in succession, the latest when working wide on the track and finishing 6m from JILLIBY GIDDEY. Despite the wide gate, she again has podium hopes.

 ARTISTIC SCOTT (2)
was first up in 16 months here last week when faced with an inside second line gate. Just behind the money, he will take great benefit from the appearance and with an improved gate, can be right in the fight.

SELECTIONS: JILLIBY GIDDEY (5), COUNTY COURT JUDGE (6), BUBBA NAY (7), ARTISTIC SCOTT (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 2-5-6-7

RACE TWO

The middle trip will, as it always tends in this grade, sort a few of them out. MULLUM DOC (6) is on the back-up from Tuesday where he was trying to rise off the canvas after dictating from the front, only to go under by a head margin behind CANDYKANE. Just 2m astern of the winner two starts back, he finds conditions to cash in.

 MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8)
was a winner at this trip four starts back when settling in the 1x1 trail and finishing over the top in posting a 4m margin. Wide gates have stung in his past three and with second line options, he finds the right set up to add another W to the tally.

 CRIME TIME (1)
has been campaigning at Redcliffe in recent starts, the latest when down the line behind WELL SAID NUGGET. With the benefit of the fence trip, he is a place chance.

 MISS HATTIE (4)
was asked to sit parked last time out and after the tough trip, faded in the closing stages. Too far back the start prior at the mile, she has podium claims in this.

SELECTIONS:
MULLUM DOC (6), MAJOR GENERALJUJON (8), CRIME TIME (1), MISS HATTIE (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MULLUM DOC (6) to win

RACE THREE

On the short back-up from Tuesday, TOMMY BLIGH (5) will be looking to go one better after finishing with the silver after being sent out as the fav. A winner last Friday when dictating from the front, he took cover on Tuesday and was under 2m from the winner LA SABINA. In the money at six of his past eight, he can capitalise.

 WESTERN BILL (4)
arrives in the Anna Woodmansey barn a 15-time winner, including placings in two of his past three starts. Buried from an inside second line gat at Young last start, he sat parked and fought hard for the bronze the start prior and can challenge here first up.

 AMILLIONCHANCES (1)
can make the most of the inside gate to search for a maiden top three placing here at HQ. 9m astern of CANDYKANE on Tuesday, the gate assists his hopes.

 SNIP OF BEAUTY (8)
should secure a soft trip from this gate following placings at her past two at Redcliffe, including a narrow 2nd. Look for her probing for openings in the latter stages.

SELECTIONS: TOMMY BLIGH (5), WESTERN BILL (4), AMILLIONCHANCES (1), SNIP OF BEAUTY (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Five weeks between runs heading into the first-round heats of this series, SASSY GALLEON (3) should strip fitter for round two. One of just two runners to eat into the margin of ALDEBARANSTILINSKI, she grabbed the silver in a 9m deficit. With both heat winners contesting the other of today’s heats, she can look to capitalise.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (8)
trotted safely last start when finishing midfield behind MAJESTIC BREEZE and beaten the handicap. Given an easy time early under mobile conditions the start prior, trotting safely from this gate can see him throw down a challenge.

 SOUTHERN DIAMOND (7)
was first up on this side of the Tasman when sent to the post as fav in the opening round heats. Exposed early before receiving cover, he could not go with them when the power went on and battled home to 4th. Second up he can be sharper in this heat.

 FENOMENAL (4)
was midfield behind ALDEBARANSTILINKSI in the opening round and did not warm up over the latter stages. With the chance to potentially press forward early, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: SASSY GALLEON (3), CALL ME TROUBLE (8), SOUTHERN DIAMOND (7), FENOMENAL (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SASSY GALLEON (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Unplaced in three runs since returning from a spell, SOHO CASABLANCA (3) might just have the right set up here to turn that around. Pressing to the front last start to light the lamps, he was out of gas and faded as the flying MULLUM HANK prevailed. He may need to roll the sleeves, but this looks within reach.

 BORSELLINO (1)
burrowed through to lead from gate 1 here last week and from the front stomped out a 3m victory. Normally better off the speed, he secures the options from this gate with good speed to the outside and watching the action unfold can be ready to strike.

 SWEET ADDITION (4)
has placed in three of her past five, the latest when a beaten fav in a mare’s contest where she was 3rd to SERGIOS ROCKET. 4m away when starting in red figures two starts back, she can chime in here.

 ROCKSNGEMS (2)
will take further benefit from his latest outing where he was second up for the season when down the line behind FINAL DEADLINE. Buried from inside the second line when resuming at Tamworth, this looks more suitable.

SELECTIONS: SOHO CASABLANCA (3), BORSELLINO (1), SWEET ADDITION (4), ROCKSNGEMS (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 1-2-3-4

RACE SIX

Producing a dominant performance in the first round, ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (9) announced that he would be the one to beat in this series. Settling at the rear from the 20m tape, he was sent forward at the 1200 and with 400 remaining, put the leader away and pulled clear for a dominant win. Rinse and repeat.

 MAJESTIC BREEZE (3)
was safely into stride after rearing as the tapes released and quickly chased to find the front and then once in control held off the challengers to post a 4m margin. A winner in three of four since arriving in Qld, she continues to take each step placed in front and from the front tape can look to issue the challenge.

 IMPACT STRIDE (4)
will take good benefit from the first round where he was six weeks between runs and forced to work from the breeze when just missing the money. He can be thereabouts.

 LOOK FOR TASCOTT (1)
chased late to grab the bronze behind ALDEBARANSTILINSKI last time out. With another soft trip behind the speed, he looks like a podium player.

SELECTIONS: ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (9), MAJESTIC BREEZE (3), IMPACT STRIDE (4), LOOK FOR TASCOTT (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (9) to win

RACE SEVEN

Returning from a Tamworth campaign that netted a win, MISS BAY KING COLE (8) has the second line options where she can be off the fence early if needed. Buried at her first Tamworth run, the gap opened and she charged home to arrive in the closing strides before luck was against her in the next two.

 HES SWEET (1)
was forced to sit parked last start at Redcliffe and despite the tough trip was not far from the winner IDEAL ASSASSIN. Fitter from that run where he was first up in six weeks, he lands the options from this gate and positioned near the action can throw down a challenge.

 SIR RICHARD LEE (5)
was beaten by a second line gate last start and never warmed up as BRONSKI ZULU proved too strong. With good early hustle, he can press on to chase a minor.

 THE TIGER ARMY (4)
scored a big win at Tamworth from a tricky gate and then returned to a qualifier here when buried in the run and never found space behind HOT ROD HARRY. He has the gate to be a player.

SELECTIONS: MISS BAY KING COLE (8), HES SWEET (1), SIR RICHARD LEE (5), THE TIGER ARMY (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MISS BAY KING COLE (8) to win

RACE EIGHT

In what looks like an open contest with the better drawn runners all seemingly chasing form, MERRY JEWEL (9) might just secure the trip to capitalise. Scoring two starts back from the pocket trail, she chased for the silver behind BORSELLINO last start to make it four successive top three finishes.

 ENGLISH DANCE (10)
is up to taking this if the breaks can go his way after being beaten by gate 7 last start. Snagged back, he was making good metres in the closing stages which had followed a tough trip when parked as IM BOO dictated. With the right trip he can challenge.

 MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (5)
was buried from inside the second line last start and hit the line strongly when the gaps arrived to be under 4m from the winner. Positioning cheaply will be the key to his claims.

 BE GOOD MIKI (7)
was game in defeat after working hard through the middle stages. Finishing 5m astern of the winner HOLD ONTO YA BLING, the gate makes it a tough ask in this.

SELECTIONS:
MERRY JEWEL (9), ENGLISH DANCE (10), MY ULTIMATE VICTOR (5), BE GOOD MIKI (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MERRY JEWEL (9) win/place
