Form Analysis: Albion Park February 17

17 February 2026

RACE ONE

A return to the midweek mobile conditions should suit DARCYS FIREBALL (5) who tackled metro level trotters last start and found the rise too steep behind AJAY VOLSTEAD. Producing an enormous win here two starts back following an early error, he can bounce back in this.

 SASSY GALLEON (4)
tackled the McNeil Final last start where she was sent to the post as fav from the 10m tape. Looking to have ended her chances with an early error, the run was huge in grabbing the bronze behind ALDEBARANSTILINSKI. The mobile conditions are a query following an error at her last attempt from behind the start car, but she has the talent.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (6)
was best of the chasing pack behind ALDEBARANSTILINSKI last time out when runner-up in the McNeil Final. Despite always being a risk at the start, he can build off the last effort to chime in here.

SELECTIONS: DARCYS FIREBALL (5), SASSY GALLEON (4), CALL ME TROUBLE (6)
SUGGESTED BET: DARCYS FIREBALL (5) to win

RACE TWO

Making an error last start from the 20m tape, CROOKWELL EYES (2) was still able to return a midfield finish behind LOOK FOR TASCOTT. If he can get the right start, the set up looks ideal for him to scoot through early and with options thereafter can bob up.

 FLASH KYVALLEY (5)
tackled mobile conditions last time out and was working home wide off the track to grab the silver when 8m astern of PIZZA PRINCE. Stuck behind a wall of horses the start prior from 30m, he can find position here to issue the challenge.

 INSTANT DELIGHT (8)
started from wide on the second line at the mobile 2138 last start and was trying to work home into the contest when midfield. Fitter again after two runs back, she can be chiming in here.

 GRACIAS (9)
has trotted safely at his past two starts where he has been able to grab minor money in each. Wide out and running on when 3rd last time, he has podium claims once again.

SELECTIONS:
CROOKWELL EYES (2), FLASH KYVALLEY (5), INSTANT DELIGHT (8), GRACIAS (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
CROOKWELL EYES (2) win/place

RACE THREE

An open contest with many of these chasing a return to winning form. BETTOR CHEER (3) backs up from Saturday night where he eased from a wide gate and was sound to the line as UDDERLY SWEET controlled it from the front. A wide gate at the mile stung the start prior and if positioned cheaply, he finds a winnable race.

 SPORTS BOUNTY (5)
faded after a tough trip sitting parked last time out at the mile, finishing rearward. Runner-up two starts back when faced with a similarly tough run, he has some middle trip form to his name whereas some of his opposition here do not. He can challenge.

 TIGER TOMMY (8)
has the second line options and with the right trip will be looking to make a closing play. Wide off the track last start after retreating from the centre of the line, he can feature with this set up.

 ONE LAST ROLL (1)
has the benefit of the inside gate which provides the options. A winner at this trip six back when settling in the trail and finishing best, his efforts since have been sound and the gate assists the chances here.

SELECTIONS: BETTOR CHEER (3), SPORTS BOUNTY (5), TIGER TOMMY (8), ONE LAST ROLL (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

The winner at these conditions last time he contested them, TARGARYEN (3) has maintained consistency with placings in three subsequent appearances. On the backup from Saturday where he chased the airborne CHEERSTOLOU and held on for the silver, the start prior was a 3m deficit behind DISTRICT ATTORNEY. He will be throwing down the challenge.

 GEM PUNTER PETE (1)
stepped safely from the front tape here last week and was fighting to the wire when collared in the lasty strides by ALBY TWO CHAINS. A winner at his only other appearance from the standing start, he can make the most of conditions to throw it down again.

 ALWAYS SMOKIN (6)
is yet to hit the board in five attempts, albeit last week finishing 4th when under 3m from the winner. With the right manners, he is a podium player.

 AMAMI (5)
made an error from behind the tapes last week to blot the book after hitting the board in all three prior standing start attempts. Forgive that, he can feature again here.

SELECTIONS: TARGARYEN (3), GEM PUNTER PETE (1), ALWAYS SMOKIN (6), AMAMI (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
TARGARYEN (3) to win

RACE FIVE

Striking trouble here last start from outside the front line, MAN OF ACTION (9) did well to reset and hold on for the bronze. Midfield the start prior at 2138 behind ROYAL PRINCESS, he was a winner here four starts back and despite the second line, finds conditions to cash in.

 OUR UNCLE LES (1)
was runner-up at Redcliffe two starts back when taking control soon after the start and leading into the stretch before WELL SAID NUGGET reeled him in. Forced to grind it out when first over on this deck last start, the gate is a huge asset in his challenging chances.

 VODKA EN ICE (3)
has placed at his past two starts, the latest from gate 1 when trying to take them all the way. Gunned down by DOOO DONT THINK, he can get handy to feature again.

 AUNTY FRANCES (7)
is afforded no favours from this gate but five starts back did overcome the outside second line to score at 2138. Making a late raid last start, she can feature.

SELECTIONS: MAN OF ACTION (9), OUR UNCLE LES (1), VODKA EN ICE (3), AUNTY FRANCES (7)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MAN OF ACTION (9) to win

RACE SIX

Despite a wide gate, OUR DICKIE BART (6) should appreciate this opposition after meeting some stronger opposition in recent outings. Luckless last start when buried from inside the second line, he tackled qualifying company at his previous two which were tacked by FACT FINDER and XPRESS PARTY  He can force the issue here.

 LITTLELIONELJAMES (3)
has found good consistency in recent appearances, hitting the board at his past five in succession. Making late metres for the bronze last time behind BOSTON BRONSKI, he powered over the top here two back and with early speed can issue a challenge.

 IMANI (2)
has proven costly to her supporters in recent starts, going under as the fav at her past three in succession. Running on late but never in the mix last start chasing PUNTERS JEWEL, she can get handy from this gate to feature.

 DEE TERROR (1)
powered home over the top to score here two starts back after starting from outside the second line. Striking trouble last start and put out of business, the gate and map assist his claims.

SELECTIONS: OUR DICKIE BART (6), LITTLELIONELJAMES (3), IMANI (2), DEE TERROR (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
