Form Analysis: Albion Park Friday February 20

20 February 2026

RACE ONE

Night one of the Ultimate Driver Championship where all slot drivers had the chance to select which horses they would partner at Wednesday’s draft. JEKAMIAS (9) was the second selection made for Gary Hall Jnr and comes into this race after some solid form on the Saturday night circuit. A 6m 3rd three starts back when carving out a 26-opening panel, this looks within reach.

 CHAMONIX (10)
was a Redcliffe winner two starts back after securing the pocket trail and darting home on the passing lane. All his recent form is on The Triangle but he finds a race to follow the speed and with any tempo will be descending on them to issue a challenge.

 QUIK CHANGE (7)
will benefit from his first run back from a spell where he was snagged back from a wide gate. Making good metres in the latter stages when 5m from CAPTAINS PICK, the gate stings.

 EPIC ERNIE (5)
will appreciate this level of opponent after fading last start as FINAL DEADLINE ran a strong 2138. Not far from the winner when midfield two starts back, he has claims.

SELECTIONS: JEKAMIAS (9), CHAMONIX (10), QUIK CHANGE (7), EPOC ERNIE (5)
SUGGESTED BET: JEKAMIAS (9) to win

RACE TWO

First up for the in-form Matt Elkins barn when making his Qld debut, MARTIN MAGIC (6) looked set to be a hard luck story, only for the gap to open late where he exploded through to arrive. Taking benefit from that run, the gate stings but he finds the conditions to strike for the Canadian James MacDonald.

 DOOO DONT THINK (5)
made the most of the perfect trip behind the speed last time out and when straightening, had the speed to grab the W. Wide off the track the start prior when retreating early over this same trip and 5m from the winner, he can challenge.

 BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (9)
has been producing some consistent performances in recent starts, hitting the board in six of seven for the season to date. A gritty 3rd last start at the mile, he has claims.

 BRACKEN WARRIOR (3)
was sent forward from a wide gate at the mile two starts back and working hard in the run was just a neck from the winner. Midfield last start, the middle trip could be the query with all 11 AP starts at the mile.

SELECTIONS:
MARTIN MAGIC (6), DOOO DONT THINK (5), BRIAN CHRISTOPHER (9), BRACKEN WARRIOR (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MARTIN MAGIC (6) to win

RACE THREE

SON OF THE SHARK (2) stomped out a huge mile on the front end here two starts back when posting a winning margin of 21m and stopping the clock in 1.50.9. A beaten fav at his next appearance, the second line stung at his last start before being shut down. At his best from the front, he gets every chance.

 PUNTERS JEWEL (9)
rolled forward from a wide gate last start and doing the heavy lifting was able to grind out a tough victory with 3m to spare. Fresh into that outing following a luckless effort at Redcliffe when only 2m from the winner, he can throw it down despite the second line.

 LOOKIN GOOD MARGIE (1)
started inside the second line at Penrith last start and was able to ease off the inside but never got warm. With the soft trip and benefit of a passing lane, she can feature.

 BETTOR CHEER (3)
backs up from Tuesday where he was sent forward and was able to find the front before being collared late at the 2138. Unlikely to find the lead here, he looks a place hope.

 SUGGESTED BET:
SON OF THE SHARK (2) to win

RACE FOUR

This looks a drop in grade for POWERMOVE (5) which started from inside the second line last time out when the race was controlled from the front by OUR ULTIMATEW KIMMY. Showing early hustle before releasing the start prior as COUNTY COURT JUDGE was too slick, she can get forward to stake claim.

 ROYAL PRINCESS (4)
was sent to the post as fav last time out from gate 2 over this trip and after showing the hustle to find the front, was unable to put them away and faded late. Overcoming the second line to score here the start prior at 2138, she can press forward to issue a challenge.

 SII SEMPRE TILLY (8)
tackled a mare’s qualifier last start from gate 1 when taking the trail and finishing 7m astern of the dictating winner OHANA DANCER. Where she gets to in the run from this gate looks the query.

 SUGGESTED BET:
POWERMOVE (5) to win

RACE FIVE

Building towards a win after finishing as the runner-up in successive starts, MULLUM DOC (10) was sent forward from gate 6 last time out to take control over the middle trip. Putting them away to take a 3m margin, he finds a field no harder and despite the gate, looks hard to stop.

 TOMMY BLIGH (2)
had this same gate last start when finding the front and looking to take them all the way. Grabbed in the closing stages as MARTIN MAGIC found the gap to slice through and arrive, the start prior he was down the line behind ENGLISH DANCE. His AP record is a concern.

 YOGI (1)
has placed in four of six on this deck, including a gritty 2nd four starts back when sent forward to park from the second line. With his past four all from the second line, the improved gate is a huge plus.

 MISTER DELWIN (8)
is a last start Redcliffe winner where he made the most of gate 1 to lead, dictate and post a 7m margin. Likely to be buried, he will be searching for a way clear.

MULLUM DOC (10) to win

was a Penrith winner prior to Christmas when finding running line cover from outside the second line and finishing hard. With a tidy trial effort here on Tues in readiness for the first start for the new barn, she stays under notice.

 VICTREE CHARLIE (2)
faces a significant class drop from recent starts, A winner three starts back when powering home over the top, he was not suited at the 2138 last time out. With no speed off the arm, he will be relying on the tempo before issuing the closing challenge.

 GREY CADILLAC (4)
brings plenty of experience to this contest and the ability to do some work in the run if needed. A gritty 3rd at Penrith two starts back, he is in the mix.

has some early hustle and might just be able to get across them from this gate. Taking them all the way at Redcliffe last start, he is a podium player.

 BEACH MAGIC (4)
placed at his past three in succession, the latest when settling in the 1x1 trail from the second line and holding on for the bronze. Beaten a head two starts back, he can look to settle handy to the action to issue the challenge.

 MISS HATTIE (1)
was making a late raid to grab the silver last start when under 4m from the winner at Redcliffe. With the gate to get a soft trip behind the speed, she can grab minor money.

 MAJOR LINCOLN (10)
started from this gate last time out and made late ground to grab the silver in a race controlled from the front. A similar scenario looks set to eventuate here.
