RACE 1

ROCK HAMMER (2) should be able to press forward in this race from a good draw and is going to be hard to run down off the back of a good win last start when forced to do all the work in the run. If he can find the front he becomes the one to beat.

SIR RICHARD LEE (7) bounced back last start when leading and winning nicely over Great White over the 1780 at this track. He should get a good run through in this race on the back of My Ultimate Cobber and if the gaps appear at the right time he should be running on well late.

MY ULTIMATE COBBER (1) has gate speed but may elect to take a sit in this race having been racing well when driven conservatively. He should get the perfect run in the race in behind Rock Hammer and from there is going to be hard to hold out late.

ROCK SUPREME (5) was about to score another win last time out at Albion Park when working away from the pegs and proving too good for them late. He draws awkwardly this time and will likely need a few things to go his way to get into the race.

SELECTIONS: ROCK HAMMER (2), SIR RICHARD LEE (7), MY ULTIMATE COBBER (1), ROCK SUPREME (5)

SUGGESTED BET: ROCK HAMMER (2) to win.

RACE 2

BARRETT (1) has excellent gate speed and showed that two starts ago when leading and running a very gallant second to Blackjack Bart. He had no luck last time out when posted 3 wide the entire journey at Albion Park. He looks the likely leader from the inside draw this time and should be hard to run down.

AZOR AHAI (7) should find this race a bit easier than recent outings in strong stand starts at Albion Park where classier horses have been quite well handicapped. He has previously run well off a similar soft trip to the one he is likely to get in this race on the pegs.

MISS SYRAH (2) has run three consecutive placings her past three starts. She looks likely to get a good run in this race close enough to the speed and should be running on late.

MISTERPRESIDENT (5) was forced to do work last time out when second up from a spell and battled on nicely for third there. He draws awkwardly but third up from a spell should be nearing peak fitness and can be hard to beat.

SELECTIONS: BARRETT (1), AZOR AHAI (7), MISS SYRAH (2), MISTERPRESIDENT (5)

SUGGESTED BET: BARRETT (1) to win.

RACE 3

RIGHTYO (2) has good early speed and should be able to work to the lead in this race and from there should be very hard to run down. He has been in good form running four consecutive placings his last four starts and looks to be building towards another win.

PRINCE JOY (9) ran on strongly last time out into third and appears well graded in this race. He is generally a horse that is best suited in races with a genuine tempo and if the race is run to suit he should be running on late.

LENNY LINCOLN (5) has been out of form recently and draws awkwardly but does look well graded in this race. He put in a slightly better run last time out when driven quietly appearing to hit the line better.

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (1) has been badly out of form in recent outings and would need to significantly turn his form around to figure in this race. He did trial much better recently suggesting he might be heading in the right direction.

SELECTIONS: RIGHTYO (2), PRINCE JOY (9), LENNY LINCOLN (5), SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (1)

SUGGESTED BET: RIGHTYO (2) to win.

RACE 4

ERASMUS (5) led two starts ago in a stronger race and faded into seventh but was beaten just 5.9 metres in an effort that would likely see him quite hard to beat in this race. He’s got brilliant gate speed and he will likely look to launch forward early in this race and if he finds the front he should be hard to beat.

COPY WRITER (4) will be doing her best work early to hold the advantage on Erasmus who is likely to be pressing forward at the start. She was luckless last start and ran a good race to finish second there behind Take Courage. This looks a bit tougher but she does draw well.

DOC HARVEY (2) will likely look to press forward and work past the out of form My Ultimate Louie in the early stages of the race and if he can find the rails his chances of earning will increase significantly. He hasn’t had much luck in recent starts.

COURAGEOUS LEO (9) bounced back two starts ago scoring when sitting leaders back and proving too good late. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and can be running on late.

SELECTIONS: ERASMUS (5), COPY WRITER (4), DOC HARVEY (2), COURAGEOUS LEO (9)

SUGGESTED BET: ERASMUS (5) to win.

RACE 5

THE RIZZLER (2) he should have the gate speed to work forward and lead in this race. He worked to the breeze two back and proved way too good there winning by a big margin before running a good second to a smart filly last time out in Havtimetodream.

TOUGH FIGHTER (8) got back last start and didn’t make much impression late when running sixth. He comes into this race second up from a spell and should be better for the first up outings.

EXCUSE TO COLLECT (5) was a winner four starts ago when working to the lead and proving too good after controlling things out in front. He was well beaten in fifth last start but the winner did run a quick last half which made it tough to get into the race from back in the field.

CHEEKY BABY (1) secured a good run behind the speed last time out and was able to finish third there. She should secure a similar run in this race behind the speed and looks a good chance to finish in the minor money again.

SELECTIONS: THE RIZZLER (2), TOUGH FIGHTER (8), EXCUSE TO COLLECT (5), CHEEKY BABY (1)

SUGGESTED BET: THE RIZZLER (2) to win.

RACE 6

TACKAS LAST DANCE (9) impressed last start when running on strongly late to just miss behind One Chain Road at this track and trip. She has always been a horse that’s well suited when sat up and saved for one run at them late and appears to be quite well graded in this race. She should be running on strongly late.

THREE MACHS (8) got a long way back last time out and was running on strongly late into fourth. She has been in good form running on strongly when races have suited and she looks to have found a race where there could be a solid early tempo.

MISTER HART (2) has good gate speed and looks like he might be able to lead in this race from a good draw. He handed over at the start last time out and was badly held up at a crucial stage when the leader Magicol Ideal tired badly.

ILLBEWATCHING (6) looks the class runner in this race but does draw poorly outside the front row. He was a winner four starts ago when leading all the way at this track in a similar field.

SELECTIONS: TACKAS LAST DANCE (9), THREE MACHS (8), MISTER HART (2), ILLBEWATCHING (6)

SUGGESTED BET: TACKAS LAST DANCE (9) to win.

RACE 7

IMPERMISSIBLE (1) should easily have the speed to lead in this race from the good draw and having derived benefit from her first up outing she should be very hard to beat. She secured a good run early close to the speed before being launched into the race and doing well to battle on for fifth after a tough run first up.

SO MANY MOMENTS (8) trialled up solidly behind Impermissible recent ahead of a return to the race track. She is a horse that seemingly loves racing at this track and looks well suited in this race which doesn’t appear to have a huge amount of depth outside of the likely short priced favourite.

WATCH YOUR BACK (7) was first up from a spell last start and despite securing a good run he was well beaten. He should get a good run through on the back of a gate speed horse and with the benefit out his first up outing he should be thereabouts this time.

ESTER JEAN (9) has been excellent since resuming from a spell having won two of her last five starts. She hit the line strongly last start behind The Luvbug and should be running on well again in this race.

SELECTIONS: IMPERMISSIBLE (1), SO MANY MOMENTS (8), WATCH YOUR BACK (7), ESTER JEAN (9)

SUGGESTED BET: SO MANY MOMENTS (8) to place.

RACE 8

GOODTIME DOLLY (7) looks a clear standout in this race having run well last start behind Nite Irene to finish a clear second. She does have to navigate a poor draw but could come off at the start and be put into the race. She looks hard to beat.

THREEOEIGHT (9) secured the ideal run three back on the pegs last time out when finishing third behind Nite Irene. He should secure a good run off the speed in this race and is building nicely towards a win.

ALWAYS CIRCLING (1) secured a good run on return last time out and finished fifth there. He is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and lands the good draw in this race.

CALI CAPERS (6) was well beaten on return when appearing to have every chance sitting leaders back and fading late. She then worked early last start and was tailed off beaten 44 metres. She needs to improve many lengths to be a hope of figuring in the finish from gate 6 but she was fancied in the market last time out.

SELECTIONS: GOODTIME DOLLY (7), THREEOEIGHT (9), ALWAYS CIRCLING (1), CALI CAPERS (6)

SUGGESTED BET: GOODTIME DOLLY (7) to win.

RACE 9

TIGER SHIRL (7) sprinted up nicely last start running a quick third quarter before being run down in the concluding stages by Piscina. She looks likely to get good run in this race off the back row in what is just a moderate race she should be hard to beata again.

FIFTY EACH WAY (5) made a break last start at a crucial stage of the race so is worth forgiving that effort. Her second placings three and four starts ago would likely see her competitive in a race of this nature.

LANEYS LAST (3) finished midfield last start in what was a solid effort behind Piscina and Tiger Shirl. She should get a good run close to the speed and can be running into it late.

DIGBY JOY (2) was a last start winner prior to a spell of almost a year. Trialled just moderately recently but given the length of her spell she’s likely to derive a lot of benefit from the outing.

SELECTIONS: TIGER SHIRL (7), FIFTY EACH WAY (5), LANEYS LAST (3), DIGBY JOY (2)

SUGGESTED BET: TIGER SHIRL (7) to win.

RACE 10

SHES MY MISTAKE (1) returns from a break in this race following a solid trial behind Ourbeachgirlmaywyn. She has good gate speed and can press forward early before having options from there. She has run well with a sit previously and is yet to lead in her career.

HEAVENSENT (3) secured a good run last time out behind the leader and wasn’t beaten too far by King Bling when running third. She should be close enough to the speed in the small field and looks a hope.

OUR ULTIMATE PENNY (2) secured a good run on the pegs last start in what was seemingly a much stronger race taken out by Diamantina Daisy. She should secure an economical run again and is likely to be better for the first up outing.

DOUG STEWART (4) trialled up quite well behind stablemate Queen Lilibet who was able to win quite impressively first up in QLD. He is likely to have derived benefit from that outing and looks a chance in this race.

SELECTIONS: SHES MY MISTAKE (1), HEAVENSENT (3), OUR ULTIMATE PENNY (2), DOUG STEWART (4)

SUGGESTED BET: SHES MY MISTAKE (1) to win.
