Form Analysis: Redcliffe February 12

RACE 1 

PHOTO BOMB (8) put in a good run last start on debut when hitting the line nicely from back in the field having drawn poorly. He is likely to have derived a lot of benefit from that outing and draws much more favourably this time with a soft trailing draw. 

OUR CAPTAIN (6) has been consistent since resuming from a spell. He appears to still very much be learning to race and seems to hang quite badly on the bends. He draws poorly and will likely need to work at some stage.

ALONG THE WAY (5) ran well two starts ago finishing second at Marburg after securing a good run. She draws wide this time and is likely to be shuffled back early.

CHEERS FOR ME (7) was left without cover two starts ago battling on well to be beaten less than 2 lengths. He then got back last start in a slowly run race and struggled to get into it.

RACE 2 

ICANANDIWILL (4) comes into this race first up from a spell which is a query. She draws the best of the main chances and should be able to press forward and find the lead. She was building towards another win last time in and seemingly finds a suitable race first up.

TIGER ATTACK (7) wasn’t suited two starts ago when well beaten after electing to hold the breeze. She was then poor again last start when well beaten after securing a good run. All her best runs have come when racing on the pegs getting a soft trip and she will get that opportunity in this race.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE (5) burned to the lead last start before handing over and was well beaten late. She draws wide this time but in a much weaker race and she should be very competitive with the right run.

SAYCHELLES (9) ran well last start hitting the line strongly at Albion Park. She appears likely to get a similar run in this race and should be running on again.

RACE 3

OUR ULTIMATE QUEEN (2) put in two nice efforts in trials before returning to the races last start and impressing there too running up in behind them appearing to have plenty to give and nowhere to go. She looks to have plenty on her rivals in this race and is likely to go around the shortest price favourite of the day.

SINGER SNAP (3) has poor numerical form but hasn’t had a lot of luck in recent outings. She has good early speed and might be able to find a prominent position up on speed which would likely see her in the minor money.

THE BLACK FOX (5) ran better two starts ago when finishing second behind Queen Lilibet at this track over the 1780. This race looks to set up similar with a likely short priced favourite heading the race and the race for the placings quite even.

DOLLAR BROWNIE (4) performed better in a recent trial before running a better ace last time out when finishing third to Queen Lilibet. Looks to draw awkwardly this time but can still figure in the minor money.

SELECTIONS: OUR ULTIMATE QUEEN (2), SINGER SNAP (3), THE BLACK FOX (5), DOLLAR BROWNIE (4)

SUGGESTED BET: SINGER SNAP (3) to place. 

RACE 4 

TRACER BULLET (8) finished off strongly three starts ago behind Our Dolly after securing a good run on the pegs. He wasn’t suited last start getting back in a slowly run race. He looks well graded in this race and might be put into it at some stage.

CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (9) secured a good run last start and finished fourth in a decent race which was taken out by Courageous Leo. He should secure a good run off the speed in this race and if it run to suit he can be getting into it late. 

MALIBU DREAM (10) took on a stronger race last start at Albion Park and was well beaten there. She looks more suited in this race despite the outside back row draw. If the speed is on early she should be running on well.

MISS HATTIE (4) secured a good run behind the leader last start and finished off well there into fourth. She looks likely to get shuffled back a bit further this time but should be running into it late if the tempo suits.

SUGGESTED BET: TRACER BULLET (8) to win.

RACE 5

MULLUM BOY (2) was able to press forward and take up the lead two starts ago when first up from a spell before being run down late by Ebony Belle. He should be able to press forward again in this race from a good draw and should be hard to beat from there.

TAURUS BROMAC (5) had every chance to get over the top of the winner Skylar Bree last time out and she was able to prove too strong after doing all the work. He wont find this race any tougher but does draw poorly and will likely need to work at some stage to get into the race. 

DIAMOND DEANO (7) has shown himself to be a better horse when able to secure a good run on the pegs in his races which he appears likely to be able to do in this race. If the gaps appear at the right time he can turn his numerical form around.

ERNIELOVENBOY (8) comes into this race first up from a spell and draws to have options at the start whether he follows through or looks to go down to the rails. He should be thereabouts on his best efforts.

RACE 6 

YOGI (10) has raced without luck in recent starts and has still been good enough to figure in the placings. Three starts ago he was left to do all the work outside the leader at Albion Park battling on nicely for third there in a solid time for the grade. He should be able to put himself into the race this time and will be hard to beat.  

GRACENAVA (9) likes racing at this track and trip and looks to find a race where there could be a genuine tempo which would bring her right into the race. She ran a good third three starts ago to The Casual goose at Marburg in an effort that would likely see her very competitive in a race of this nature. 

WILLROBY (5) was forced to do the work last start and was well beaten in the end behind Outer Change and Heavens Baby. He is likely to get back from the wide draw and can be running on late. 

OUTER CHANGE (7) should get a good run through early behind a horse that should be close enough in the run. She always seems to go much better on the pegs and can run well again in this race.

RACE 7

MARTY THE MARTIAN (6) ran on strongly last start into second behind Rock Hammer who rated good time after sitting up on speed. He draws wide in this race and is likely to get a long way back again but should be running on strongly late. 

BONNIES CAM (5) launched at the start two starts ago and ran a much better race there finishing fourth before running well last start finishing second over the 1780. He draws wide in this race and is a horse with very good gate speed but probably doesn’t run out the 2040 as well when used early so could get a long way back early. 

BEV THE GOAT (9) bounced back two starts ago when leading all of the way at this track and trip before running on nicely again last time out. She races well at this track and trip and should be hard to hold out.

LITTLEMICKEY (1) secured a good run on the pegs three starts ago and was able to prove too good there when running on over the top late to score. He can secure a similar run in this race and should be thereabouts again.

RACE 8

BARNSTORMER (8) was first up in the state last time out when caught wide on the track through the quickest sectionals of the race. He appears to find a race that might be a touch easier and he draws favourably on the back row this time. If he can secure the right run he looks one of the top chances.

WINDY HILL WALLY (3) doesn’t have much gate speed which often sees him doing work or shuffled back early in his races. He ran fairly last start to finish fourth after sitting behind the leader. He should be able to hold a prominent position in this race and should run well again.

MISS FROUFROU (2) might be able to work past Docta Feelgood in the early stages who was quite well beaten on return to the races and if she can, she should run well out in front. She led last start and appeared to have every chance when finishing fourth.

MISTER REACTOR (6) has had very little luck in recent outings but has still been performing well. He looks set to be forced to do work at some stage of the race.

SUGGESTED BET: BARNSTORMER (8) to win.

RACE 9

WANDARY DELIGHT (2) has good early speed and has been racing well. She scored a dominant all the way win three starts ago. She was able to beat home one of the likely fancied runners in this race recent when leading and may be more suited stepping back to the 1780 in this race. 

SNIP OF BEAUTY (8) hit the line strongly two starts ago when running into second at Albion Park before running on well again last time out. She steps back to Redcliffe and has often raced well at this track in the past.

MISTER DELWIN (1) looks likely to secure a great run in this race just behind the speed. He generally does his best racing with a sit and can secure that run in this race. He has been racing without a huge amount of luck in recent outings.

WELL SAID NUGGET (6) draws widest which appears to set him a tough task getting back and running on late. He was a good winner last start and three starts ago when running on over the top. He seems to be best suited over the 1780 and should run well again.
