Form Analysis: Redcliffe February 4

RACE 1 

FAVREAU (2) was forced to do plenty of work outside the leader last time out and battled away well not to be beaten too far. He looks likely to be able to press forward again from a low draw in this race and if he can find the lead he’s going to be very hard to run down.

PRECOCIOUS KATE (6) has been placed in her last two outings. She led two starts ago and wasn’t beaten far when running second. She then raced off the speed last time out and was running on strongly into second. She should be thereabouts again.

WELL SAID NUGGET (7) was a good winner two starts ago when running over the top from a long way back in the run to score. He appeared to be ideally suited by a strong tempo last time out when running on from off the speed and was seemingly quite disappointing missing the placings. He can bounce back.

LAST CALL (8) bounced back to form last start when scoring at this track having not won for a considerable period of time. She has always seemingly been best when driven with cover and will get that opportunity in this race from a soft trailing draw.

RACE 2 

SHES BEWTICHED (1) has excellent gate speed and should be able to drive through and lead them in the early stages before having options from there. She obtained a trail last start and wasn’t beaten far in seventh. 

THREE MACHS (5) has been racing in good form this campaign having run a number of good placings. She does her best work when able to be sat up and saved for one run at them late which she should get the opportunity to do in this race. 

GET ME OUTTA HERE (7) has had a few weeks since his latest run which has to be somewhat of a query. He put in a good run two starts ago when closing strongly into second behind Mister Delwin and a similar effort would likely see him hard to hold out in this race.

ROLLONX (8) ran well last start when finishing second after leading at this track behind Courageous Leo. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and if the race is run to suit he should be running on late.

RACE 3

MISS FROUFROU (1) worked forward last start and was left without cover when running seventh. She secured a good run her start prior before Sweet Addition and finished in last place just battling late. She looks better suited in this field and has the gate speed to dictate early.

BARNSTORMER (3) brings solid NSW form into this race having contested stronger races. He hasn’t started for a month and has made the move to QLD so there is a query whether he may need the run. He is capable.

ALMIGHTY MAX (4) has good gate speed and should be able to put himself in a prominent position in this race despite the awkward draw. He was a winner five starts ago and has since raced in stronger company.

GLENLEDI BOY (6) is a very capable sit sprinter that is always closing off well with the right run. He secured a good run last start behind the leader and wasn’t beaten far by Blackjack Bart. If the speed is on he’ll be running on late.

RACE 4 

LITTLE HOOFANANNY (2) showed reasonable gate speed last start but was crossed by quick beginner Bonnies Cam and had to settle for second behind Mikis Joe who came from back in the field and won well. She might be able to work to the lead this time and if she does she can be hard to run down.

CHAMONIX (7) should get a good run through and won’t be too far from the speed getting a soft run in behind them. At this stage in his career, he seems best when driven quietly and saved for one run late which he should get a good opportunity to do in this race.

ROSIE POLLEN (4) ran second last start at Tamworth after obtaining a trail and finishing off well late. She seems to be best suited when driven with cover having put in her best efforts when having a quieter run. She should be running on late. 

ABSOLUTETLY STOKED (1) led all the way last start at Marburg which is a slight deviation from her usual pattern which is to be driven sit sprint in races. She is likely to look for a trail this time jumping up in grade and can be competitive from there.

RACE 5

WATCH YOUR BACK (9) is first up for a new stable in this race having done his recent racing in NSW. He was a good winner four starts ago when leading all the way at Tamworth and rating decent time for the grade. He should get a good run off the speed in this race and has the class to overcome a poor draw.

MIARKA (1) has good early speed and should be able to hold a forward position in this race. She was able to lead all the way two starts ago before sitting up on speed last start in a stronger race and just battling away late for fifth. 

ESTERN JEAN (5) secured a good run two starts ago before running on strongly late to score. She is likely to get a long way back this time from an awkward draw but should be running on late again.

THE LUVBUG (4) is seemingly still learning to race and has been good this time in with a win returning from a spell and a second last start behind Our Ultimate Milly. He should have derived benefit from those two outings and will be thereabouts in this race.

SUGGESTED BET: THE LUVBUG (4) to win.

RACE 6 

NEED NOT TO WARRY (6) really caught the eye last start when powering into second behind Hes My Reason who went on to win again the next day. He drops into an easier race which looks likely to generate a strong early tempo which should allow him to be running into the finish again.

PADDYS DIAMOND (1) has reasonable gate speed and a favourable draw in this race where he should be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of the race. He was able to lead last start and battled on for third there in a race taken out by Maywyns Mighty Mac. 

EXCUSE TO CULLECT (5) ran on into a distant third last time out behind Our Ultimate Milly in a race that was run to suit horses up on speed. He draws wide in this race and looks likely to get back in the run. If its run to suit he can be getting into it late. 

LUVN OSMAN (7) should get a good run through on the back of Paddys Diamond who is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race.

RACE 7

TIGER SHIRL (5) put in a much better run last start when finishing second at this track running on strongly late over the 2040. She finds an even more suitable contest and despite drawing wide she looks the horse to beat having likely derived benefit from her last start second. 

FIFTY EACH WAY (2) draws well in this race and should be able to press forward in the early stages and race in a prominent position. She has been working into some form and looks close to another win. 

PISCINA (7) was incredibly unlucky last start when attempting to work forward in the early stages of the race he was repelled by a runner at long odds before being forced to the rear of the field and badly held up at a crucial stage of the race. He should have options this time from a favourable draw and will be thereabouts.

LANEYS LAST (4) secured a good run on the leaders back behind Our Ultimate Milly and battled on late for fourth. She looks better suited in this race but does draw awkwardly.

RACE 8

NITE IRENE (1) secured a good run off the speed last start and was closing off nicely when running into second behind debutant Zeezeezoom. She was returning there off a long spell having trialled up sharply prior to her return. She should get a good run from the favourable draw and is going to be hard to beat in this race. 

GOODTIME DOLLY (7) should get a good run through in the early stages behind a horse that is likely to be keen to hold a forward position in this race. She has returned from a spell with three placings and may find this race the most suitable so far for her this campaign.

OUR CAPTAIN (5) has had a few starts back from a spell where he has performed just fairly. He would need to improve to be a winning hope but has place claims in a race without a huge amount of depth.

THREEOEIGHT (2) led last start and was well beaten by Zeezeezoom and Nite Irene. He draws favourably but looks unlikely to be good enough to challenge the better chances in this race.

RACE 9

MY ULTIMATE FRANCO (3) trialled fairly finishing fifth after securing a good run in behind the leader. He doesn’t possess much gate speed which may see him left without cover and working hard which could be a query. 

DIAMANTINA DAISY (2) put in a great run last start when caught 3 wide early before eventually finding the breeze and battling on for a good third placing. She finds a race where she might be able to press forward and if she was to lead she would be very hard to run down.

NEEDSAREASON (4) drew poorly last start and got a long way back in the race before running on late into fourth. He comes into this race third up from a spell and is likely to have derived good benefit from his first two outings this campaign. 

LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (1) has been solid in three runs back from a spell with two second placings and a fourth. He drew poorly last start and was making up good late ground into second behind short-priced favourite The Rizzler.
