The Townsville Turf Club meeting today has abandoned today following a 40mm deluge this morning.
As a result, flooding in an area of the back straight and a poor forecast for the remainder of the day has led to the meeting being called off.
RQ will now give consideration to potential changes to the region’s race programmes within the next 7-10 days.
