Cairns Jockey Club meeting transferred

Racing Queensland advises that the race meeting scheduled for the Cairns Jockey Club on Saturday, March 21 has been abandoned due to weather state of the track, and has been transferred to Thursday, March 26.

The program is:

• Open Handicap (1250m) $21,000;
• Benchmark 70 Handicap (950m) $21,000;
• Class 3 Plate (Set Weights) (1250m) $21,000;
• Ratings Band 0-55 Handicap (1250m) $21,000;
• Benchmark 55 Handicap (950m) $21,000;
• Maiden Handicap (1400m) $23,000; (QTIS for 2 and 3-year-olds only)
• Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (950m,) $23,000; (QTIS for 2 and 3-year-olds only)
• 3YO Maiden Plate (Set Weights) (950m) $23,000 + QTIS; and
• 2YO Handicap (950m) $21,000 + QTIS.

Deadlines for the meeting are as follows:

Nominations: Monday, March 23 - 9am 

Acceptances: Tuesday, March 24 - 9am

Jockeys: Tuesday, March 24 - midday
