Form Analysis: Albion Park March 20

20 March 2026

RACE ONE

A wide gate will make the task that little bit tougher for MOONSHINER (6), but he has shown that he can roll along at a high tempo. Putting them to the sword last start from gate 4 when dictating from the front for a 1.51.3 mile, his effort three back behind FINAL DEADLINE was smart and he can force the issue again to chase successive victories.

SIR RICHARD LEE (1)
worked in the early stages last time out and despite the tough trip was still giving and went within a flared nostril of victory. A similarly tough run developed two back at 2138 when just behind the money and with the inside advantage has the options to challenge.

BELLISIMO ACQUISTO (5)
eased for position last start in Saturday night company and was searching for space when finishing 4m from the winner. Too strong two back, he is in the mix.

SOHO CASABLANCA (2)
was a half-head away when they crossed the line last start but had been interfered with and claimed the verdict in the steward’s room. The map might beat him here.

SELECTIONS: MOONSHINER (6), SIR RICHARD LEE (1), BELLISIMO ACQUISTO (5), SOHO CASABLANCA (2)
SUGGESTED BET: Exotics 6 / 1-2-5-8

RACE TWO

Sent for a break following victory in a much stronger contest prior to Christmas where he sat parked and put them away, STILLYOURSHOT (9) has been unplaced in two runs back. Both of those have been behind the airborne COTCHINELLIE and despite the second line, this is a substantial drop in grade.

MUCH BETTOR (2)
has been down the line at his past two starts, where he has been back in the pack on each occasion when trying to make ground. With the chance to settle closer to the action, his three starts prior to the past two failures were solid performances and he is a podium player in this.

QUIK CHANGE (7)
is given no favours from this gate and has been faced with wide gates in each of his five appearances this term. Under 5m from the winner last time, he is a podium hope.

PUNTERS JEWEL (8)
tackled a qualifier last start from a second line gate where nothing went right, and he covered plenty of the oval. Under 5m from SON OF THE SHARK in slick time the start prior, he will be searching for openings.

SELECTIONS: STILLYOURSHOT (9), MUCH BETTOR (2), QUIK CHANGE (7), PUNTERS JEWEL (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
STILLYOURSHOT (9) to win

RACE THREE

In a tricky contest to dissect, WESTERN ACTION (4) is worthy of some support if able to position cheaply. Not suited last start at Marburg, he was buried here the start prior and never found space. Placed in both prior appearances on this deck, he can look to stake claim in a wide-open contest.

GIDUP CAPTAIN (2)
rolled forward and was forced to park last start when finishing midfield behind LETS GO BAILEY. Beaten as an odds-on elect at Redcliffe the start prior when pressing to the front from gate 4, he can look to press the button early here and improve his AP conversion rate that sits at 1 from 24.

DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6)
was a Redcliffe winner two starts back when burrowing through from gate 1 to hold the front and see them off. Not suited last start, she can feature here.

THREE CORD RIFF (1)
maps for a soft trip in behind the speed and from there can be looking for the gaps to make a late play. Only 2m behind the winner last start, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: WESTERN ACTION (4), GIDUP CAPTAIN (2), DOOLITTLE DOOZZIE (6), THREE CORD RIFF (1)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE FOUR

Hitting the board just once in six appearances here at The Creek, a deeper look shows that GENTLE GIANT (1) started from the second line in five of those. Faced with the second line at his past two starts, he can take full advantage from this gate to utilise his speed out of the machine and turn his fortunes.

CULLECTINGCARDLES (8)
has the options as the lone runner off the second line, with the advantage of following a good beginner. Grabbing bronze at Redcliffe last start on the passing lane, the start prior at 2138, she was too far back to be a factor. Finding gaps and maintaining momentum can see her challenge.

DOOO DONT THINK (2)
made the most of a soft trip behind the speed to arrive for the prize here four starts back and followed that with the bronze behind MARTIN MAGIC. He is a factor in this line up from the gate.

JIMMY BLING (4)
scored a gritty win here three starts back when sitting parked and grinding it out for victory. Buried last start at Marburg, he can get forward to feature here.

SELECTIONS: GENTLE GIANT (1), CULLECTINGCARDLES (8), DOOO DONT THINK (2), JIMMY BLING (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
GENTLE GIANT (1) to win

RACE FIVE

Placed in three of his past four Redcliffe starts, TAURUS BROMAC (3) will look to transfer that to the big deck. Settled in the 1x1 trail and finished 5m from the winner last time out, the start prior he was beaten a half-head. With all his recent racing on The Triangle, he finds his best chance to convert one at HQ.

THREENTWO (9)
was sent out in red figures last time out and despite being forced to work in the run when parked, was able to assert dominance to post a 6m margin in career best time. Beaten by gate 6 at Redcliffe the start prior, she can trail through early here to issue a challenge.

SKYLAR BREE (4)
scored a gritty win at Redcliffe three starts back when forced to work. Beaten big margins at her past two starts, settling handy can see her chime in here.

ICANANDIWILL (8)
was a Redcliffe winner three starts back when powering home in the closing stages to post a 3m margin at the 2040 trip. 3rd behind THREENTWO two back, she will be searching for openings here.

SELECTIONS: TAURUS BROMAC (3), THREENTWO (9), SKYLAR BREE (4), ICANANDIWILL (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
TAURUS BROMAC (3) to win

RACE SIX

Hitting the board in three of five this season, SHES MY MISTAKE (1) secures the mapping favours from this gate to stretch that out to a second win for the term. Working early when runner-up to OUR ULTIMATE KIMMY last time at Redcliffe, she has all the options to capitalise.

OAKLEY SHARD (7)
was first up for the new stable last time out when facing this same gate and retreating in the early stages. Strong to the line wide off the track to grab the bronze behind NITRATOR, with added fitness, look for her to throw down the challenge.

KING BLING (3)
rolled forward from gate 5 and was exposed early before receiving cover last time out, but could not go with the leader who ripped home in 54.7 to score. Settling handy will assist his claims.

MIARKA (4)
has started from barrier one at her past three in succession, returning a win at Redcliffe three starts back. Beaten after starting in red figures last time out, she is a podium hope here.

SELECTIONS: SHES MY MISTAKE (1), OAKLEY SHARD (7), KING BLING (3), MIARKA (4)
SUGGESTED BET:
SHES MY MISTAKE (1) to win

RACE SEVEN

Returning from a spell to make the first appearance of her 4YO term, OUR PETABILT (7) is afforded no favours first up from the car park. Last seen when 3rd behind DONNIE GAL in the Qld Trotters Oaks, her recent trial from the tapes was a tidy effort and she can look to strike fresh.

IGNITE (4)
started from the 20m tape last start and loomed ominously as the fav but was nailed in the closing strides by NO REMORSE. Runner-up to MAJESTIC BREEZE three starts back, he has one mobile start win which was over two years ago. He gets the chance to add a second.

ITS TRIXTON TIME (8)
was making good metres in the closing stages last start to grab the bronze when under 3m from the winner. Mobile conditions are suitable and he will be searching for gaps.

ILLUSORY FEAT (2)
started from gate 1 last time and was soon shuffled back in the run. Following through to be just outside the money, this is an easier line up to assist his claims.

SELECTIONS: OUR PETABILT (7), IGNITE (4), ITS TRIXTON TIME (8), ILLUSORY FEAT (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
OUR PETABILT (7) to win
