Form Analysis: Albion Park March 21

21 March 2026

RACE ONE

Early speed here could be the make or break for a few runners as they chase position. A winner two starts back, COOL NIGHT (3) looked snookered but found space at the top of the stretch and rattled late to arrive. A beaten fav when forced to park last week when delivering a strong performance, he can capitalise.

CHARGE AHEAD (5)
will take some benefit from a midfield finish when resuming from a spell last time out. Forced to do the heavy lifting in a slick mile recorded by MOONSHINER, he will likely be rolling forward again here and with the added fitness, has the class to challenge.

HOT ROD HARRY (4)
was not interested early from gate 2 here two starts back and then did not have a smooth passage. Setting the tempo here last week when grabbed late, he has podium claims.

CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (8)
will require a slice of luck at some stage as he looks set to be buried in the run. Grabbing the silver last week from the pocket trail, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: COOL NIGHT (3), CHARGE AHEAD (5), HOT ROD HARRY (4), CHECKNOUTTHETALENT (8)
SUGGESTED BET:

RACE TWO

Unbeaten in two appearances since arriving in the Sunshine State, WHOS DELIGHT (6) has scored from the front and rattling late along the passing lane. Shuffled to three back along the inside last time out, he charged hard to grab victory by a head. Despite the wide gate, the threepeat is within reach.

DASHING (1)
is two from four since arriving with the latest victory over this trip a starchy performance when sitting parked and claiming victory in the last stride through a sizzling 53.5 last half. A beaten fav the start prior behind WHOS DELIGHT, he has the gate to throw it down.

ATTACHMENT (7)
has been runner-up at his past two starts, beaten a nose and a neck. Taking the trail last week, he just needed the gap to arrive sooner. The outside gate makes it tough this time.

MOSSDALE TERRY (8)
maps for the perfect trip against the markers and can avoid any work in the run. Fitter again after three runs back from a spell, he will be looking for gaps.

SELECTIONS: WHOS DELIGHT (6), DASHING (1), ATTACHMENT (7), MOSSDALE TERRY (8)
SUGGESTED BET:
Exotics 1-6 / 1-6-7-8

RACE THREE

A few of the better hopes are stepping up in grade for this, including last start winner DAISY DIANA (6) who claimed a Band 5 event at her last appearance. Sent to the front in that contest, she set a slick closing half from the front, holding on for a narrow victory. Runner-up to POST PAINTER three starts back, she can defy the gate here.

ILOVEACALENDARGIRL (3)
completed a hat-trick of victories here last week, firing off the arm, dictating and posting a 5m margin. This is the next step up to tackle open grade mares, but her three wins have been dominant and with the gate advantage over some of the main dangers, can issue the challenge.

SERGIOS ROCKET (9)
started from this same gate last time when just missing a minor cheque. Hitting the board at all previous starts for the term, she can follow through early to feature again.

SOAP OPERA (7)
is afforded no favours from this gate but is the highest assessed runner in the field. Buried last start when midfield to LUX AETERNA, she has podium claims here.

SELECTIONS: DAISY DIANA (6), ILOVEACALENDARGIRL (3), SERGIOS ROCKET (9), SOAP OPERA (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
DAISY DIANA (6) to win

RACE FOUR

Returning from a NSW campaign where he was beaten but not disgraced chasing a Miracle Mile berth, CHEERSTOLOU (7) will look to reignite his love of The Creek to bounce back. Sectionally impressive chasing home LEAP TO FAME in a mile qualifier two starts back, he can defy the gate for the homecoming.

FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (4)
scored off a 30m tape when resuming from a spell in a midweek contest with an impressive close out after working in the run. Chasing in the stretch for the silver behind TIGER BAND WAGON last start, the added fitness can see him challenge.

JIMARTEE (3)
needed a gap to appear last time when searching for openings that did not present in time. Never too far from the action, he can get handy again here to make a podium play.

DISTRICT ATTORNEY (1)
is at his best when able to find the poles and sit quietly to be saved for the last shot. The pattern presents perfectly from this gate, and he will be stalking the speed.

SELECTIONS: CHEERSTOLOU (7), FRANKIE FEROCIOUS (4), JIMARTEE (3), DISTRICT ATTORNEY (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
CHEERSTOLOU (7) to win

RACE FIVE

Runner-up at her past two starts, an improved gate and a return to mare’s company for SEASIDE GLORY (2) can be the catalyst for victory. Chasing the airborne COTCHINELLIE at her past two attempts, the latest here on Tuesday when 2m astern over 2138, she attacked the line three back behind SHES CRUNCHY and is the one they have to beat.

MAID OF MONEY (10)
arrives in the Dux stable to tackle this contest first up from a spell in her first Qld appearance. Not seen in public since a last start Penrith victory over 2125, she was able to power over the top in that contest to complete a hat-trick of wins. She stays under watch fresh up.

LULLABY (4)
has been runner-up at her past two, the latest when asked to park. Fighting in the stretch when 6m from the winner SENSATINALIZE, she can get handy to be in the thick of the action once again.

FEAR THE PAIN (3)
was runner-up to SHES CRUNCHY two starts back when holding the pocket trail from gate 1 and finishing 3m astern, last start saw her forced to sit parked. From the gate she is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: SEASIDE GLORY (2), MAID OF MONEY (10), LULLABY (4), FEAR THE PAIN (3)
SUGGESTED BET:
SEASIDE GLORY (2) to win

RACE SIX

The talented 4YO PATH TO GREATNESS (3) resumed from a spell in the UDC Series where he started from the second line and was asked to sit parked when 8m astern of the winner STRIKEM. Tackling a standing start event second up. He found the trail and had superior closing speed to take a narrow victory. Added fitness makes him hard to stop.

FIRE RAISER (1)
maps for the perfect trip behind the speed and from that position will likely be in the money. Unplaced in three runs since returning from a spell, two of those runs have been from inside the second line when shuffled back on each occasion.

APPLIED (9)
faces another tough gate after landing gate six and seven and his past two outings. Full of fight when parked at each of those runs and holding 2nd each time, he has podium claims once again.

SMARTER THAN YOU (2)
should appreciate an improved gate after facing the second line at his past two. Making some late metres when 5m from THETORQUE MAJORITY last start, he can chime in.

SELECTIONS: PATH TO GREATNESS (3), FIRE RAISER (1), APPLIED (9), SMARTER THAN YOU (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
PATH TO GREATNESS (3) to win

RACE SEVEN

Hitting the board in all four starts since arriving with the new stable, SHES CRUNCHY (5) has been full of fight in every appearance. Scoring a gritty win two starts back when parked and posting a 3m margin, she took DAISY DIANA to a head margin in a sub 54 close out last start and can go one better here.

SENSATIONALIZE (8)
will have the second line options as the lone runner off the back. Finding the pocket trail from gate 5 last week, when finding space, she had the speed to dart through and pull clear to claim a 6m margin. Not suited in her first AP appearance the start prior, she can challenge.

EUREKA JO (6)
eased off the wide gate last start and was never in the mix as MARDIBRINGSAPARTY dictated. Starting fav when 4m from SHES CRUNCHY two starts back, the gate stings.

HELL OF A HAND (1)
eased from gate 5 here last week and made some metres in the closing stages to finish midfield. With the chance to limit any early work from this gate, she is in the mix.

SELECTIONS: SHES CRUNCHY (5), SENSATIONALIZE (8), EUREKA JO (6), HELL OF A HAND (1)
SUGGESTED BET:
SHES CRUNCHY (5) to win

RACE EIGHT

Dictating from the front in a new PB at the mile three starts back, BUDDY PERFECT (1) has placed in both subsequent appearances from bad draws. Strong to the line last start when 3rd behind THETORQUE MAJORITY, he was rattling late to be just a half-neck from COOL NIGHT two starts back. He has all the options to cash in here.

DEEBO (2)
has not had anything in his favour since returning from Tamworth where he was second in the Golden Guitar Final. Three bad gates at his next three followed and then last start he was sectionally impressive despite being unplaced. An improved gate can see him challenge.

MIKIS JOE (8)
eased from gate 6 last start before making a late rally in the stretch to grab the silver behind ROCK HAMMER. With early options from the second line, he can join in.

GEM PUNTER PETE (7)
made the most of conditions from the standing start last time out, working to the front and holding on to defeat subsequent winner TYSON. The gate dents his hopes.

SELECTIONS: BUDDY PERFECT (1), DEEBO (2), MIKIS JOE (8), GEM PUNTER PETE (7)
SUGGESTED BET:
BUDDY PERFECT (1) to win

RACE NINE

Fading out to finish an uncharacteristic last when making his most recent appearance, NOT AS PROMISED (4) was subsequently found to have a minor issue. Dictating to score at the mobile mile the start prior, three back he was just 5m from GUS in the marathon. Off 10m, he can bounce back in style.

GOLDEN SUNSET (6)
has been runner-up at her past two starts under mobile conditions, the latest when finding the front and leading deep into the stretch, only to be collared in the last stride. Running GUS to 3m the start prior, 20m makes it a little tougher, but she is up to the challenge.

ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (2)
made it four in succession last time out when finding the pocket trail over the mobile 2138 and arriving in the last bound to score. Claiming the McNeil Final off 20m the start prior, he has the manners to be a player off the front tape.

SELECTIONS: NOT AS PROMISED (4), GOLDEN SUNSET (6), ALDEBARANSTILINSKI (2)
SUGGESTED BET:
NOT AS PROMISED (4) to win
