Form Analysis: Albion Park March 27

27 March 2026

RACE ONE

A newcomer to Qld that has not been seen in public since Feb 20, I OF THE HURRIKANE (6) joins an in-form stable that has been producing horses with success first up. A Mildura winner two starts back, she was 3rd at Bendigo last start and finds a race to make a first up impression.

 MACS A DUDE (1)
sat in the trail and had the closing speed to dart through on the passing lane at 2138 last time out to post a half-neck victory. Strong to the wire after starting from the second line three starts back when just 1m from the winner, he has all the options to challenge.

 PUNTERS JEWEL (4)
faced an inside second line gate last start and was angled off the inside to find running line cover. Making a late raid for the silver, he can get forward to feature in this.

 QUEEN LILIBET (9)
was a winner at the mile two starts back after being exposed early until cover arrived. Not suited from the tapes last time at Marburg, she is in the mix here.

SELECTIONS: I OF THE HURRIKANE (6), MACS A DUDE (1), PUNTERS JEWEL (4), QUEEN LILIBET (9)
SUGGESTED BET: I OF THE HURRIKANE (6) to win

RACE TWO

Placed in five of seven this term, IMANI (10) has looked the winner in a few of those but been unable to convert. Charging hard last start to be just a half-neck from the winner, she was working home in good order here three back for the bronze. The right temp can see her arrive.

 JIMMY BLING (3)
rolled forward to sit parked at this trip last time out and despite working in the run, was still grinding on the wire when 3m astern of the winner after being sent out in red figures. Luckless at Marburg the start prior, he can apply the pressure to challenge again.

 REDS STAR DEAL (4)
faced 10m from the stand at Marburg last time out and an early error made the task too great. With his past four from the tapes, a return behind the start car will help.

 SARGEANT (8)
returns from a spell and will require a slice of luck at some stage from this gate. Shut down following a smart win at the mile last time out, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: IMANI (10), JIMMY BLING (3), REDS STAR DEAL (4), SARGEANT (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
IMANI (10) to win

RACE THREE

Despite the outside second line gate here three starts back, LETS GO BAILEY (9) found the right tempo and descended to arrive for a narrow victory. Unplaced in both since, the latest was in slick time at Marburg where he drew wide. Following through early, tempo should suit here.

 LULU LUCIFER (10)
faced the outside front line at Marburg last start and was sent forward and despite doing the heavy lifting, pulled clear over the closing stages to post a 5m margin. Strong to the line the start prior, she can look for a cart into the contest here to challenge.

 GIDUP CAPTAIN (2)
had the speed off the arm to find the front here last week and taking control was able to fend them off and post a 9m margin. He can chase a repeat.

 JEFFCOATE (5)
has placed at his past four in succession, the latest when closing hard at Redcliffe to be just 1m from the winner. He can get forward to feature in this line up.

SELECTIONS: LETS GO BAILEY (9), LULU LUCIFER (10), GIDUP CAPTAIN (2), JEFFCOATE (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
LETS GO BAILEY (9) to win

RACE FOUR

Following three successive victories to kick-off life in the Sunshine State, THE RASCAL (8) was shut down after finishing unplaced in his next three. Each of those were in slick time when chasing home smart winners in FERNCO NEL and HUXTON. With a tidy preparatory trial, he can strike fresh.

 JUST A COOL DUDE (1)
was banished to the trials last start after making an error and finishing at the rear. Gaining the return ticket, a repeat of his performance three back over this trip would be enough to throw down a challenge in this line up and from the trail can strike.

 KEILOR BABY SHARK (3)
had a good shot in the early stages last time out when first up for the new stable but finished at the tail. Finding the front here can see her turn it around.

 TILLY JAYNE (5)
was strong late over the Marburg 2200 last time out to grab the silver. Chasing late from a rearward position behind the flying COTCHINELLIE the start prior, she can chime in.

SELECTIONS: THE RASCAL (8), JUST A COOL DUDE (1), KEILOR BABY SHARK (3), TILLY JAYNE (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
THE RASCAL (8) to win

RACE FIVE

These up to NR40 graded events are a always a tough read and when over 2138, add an extra layer of intrigue. MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5) faced this trip three starts back and was attacking the line in the closing stages to get within a half-head of the winner. He can descend no them.

 IMPERIOUS (1)
secures the gate advantage which might just be enough for him to throw down a challenge to claim his first AP victory. Beaten a pimple at Redcliffe three starts back, he was buried away last start. The benefit of the options might be enough to capitalise

 BEAU STEELE (6)
receives no favours from the wide gate but can boast a win over this trip when starting off the second line. Buried at Marburg on Monday from the tapes, he is in the mix here.

 WESTERN ACTION (2)
is a query at the trip but boasts placings in three of his past five. Forced to work outside the leader last time at the mile when holding 3rd, he can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5), IMPERIOUS (1), BEAU STEELE (6), WESTERN ACTION (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MAJOR GENERALJUJON (5) to win

RACE SIX

This looks like the easiest assignment that VICTREE CHARLIE (4) has faced in some time. Settling rearward in a small field last start when chasing home behind IDEAL BRONSKI, the start prior he could not get warm at Redcliffe behind THE RIZZLER. This looks well within reach.

 ICANANDIWILL (7)
has been hitting good areas in similar company and last time out made full use of the passing lane to dart through for victory in recording her first win on this deck. With second line gates at her previous four in succession, the gate stings chasing the repeat.

 TAURUS BROMAC (8)
was still grinding away when 5m from the winner after sitting parked here last time out. With the chance for an economical trip, he can chase a podium return.

 RAINBOW GAMBLER (10)
sat in the trail from inside the second line here four runs back and when the gap opened, darted through for victory. Unplaced his past two, he can chime in late.

SELECTIONS: VICTREE CHARLIE (4), ICANANDIWILL (7), TAURUS BROMAC (8), RAINBOW GAMBLER (10)
 SUGGESTED BET:
VICTREE CHARLIE (4) to win

RACE SEVEN

A race where many of the runners step up to 2138 for the first time. MATTEO (4) was a winner at 2040 last time out at Redcliffe when sent forward from gate 5, taking control and putting them to the sword with a 25m margin. A strong win at Redcliffe the start prior, he can secure the hat-trick.

 RUBY RHAYNE BOW (8)
takes her first look beyond the sprint trip and will need some factors in her favour from this gate. Missing the money last start as BARSBY capitalised with a slick last 800, the start prior she was not too far away. Finding space in time can see her challenge.

 SHES MY MISTAKE (1)
released the speed last time from this gate when grabbing the bronze behind OAKLEY SHARD. Runner-up at Redcliffe the start prior, she has options to feature.

 KING BLING (3)
was exposed early before receiving cover last start and ran on late to be 4m from OAKLEY SHARD. Chasing in vain as NITRATOR scored a smart win the start prior, he has the gate to feature.

SELECTIONS: MATTEO (4), RUBY RHAYNE BOW (8), SHES MY MISTAKE (1), KING BLING (3)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MATTEO (4) to win

RACE EIGHT

Continuing to tease that he will be winning, IGNITE (4) was again runner-up last start to take his record this term to six minors and one win from 10 appearances. Trying to make a late raid when under 2m from the winner at mobile conditions last time, the start prior he was collared in the closing strides. This time?

 OUR PETABILT (9)
will be better suited here from the tapes after returning from a spell from outside the front line at mobile conditions. Grabbing bronze in the return, she was shut down last term when holding 3rd behind DONNIE GAL in the Oaks and has the manners and added fitness to challenge.

 CROOKWELL EYES (5)
was under 5m from NELLIE JOY last start who has since won again. He drops back in grade from recent appearances for this assignment and can feature.

 LAYDOWNLUNA (6)
was last seen in The Great Square when finishing down the line behind the champion KEAYANG ZAHARA. With a sound trial to prepare, she stays under notice.

SELECTIONS: IGNITE (4), OUR PETABILT (9), CROOKWELL EYES (5), LAYDOWNLUNA (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
