Form Analysis: Albion Park March 3

3 March 2026

RACE ONE

There might still be a few pennies to drop for PARISIAN HUSTLER (5), but there is some power under the hood. An early error last week dented his chances, and the effort to still grab the silver behind SCAR STRUCK was a smart performance. With the added experience and benefit from the debut 2nd, he can go one better here.

 HEAD RUSH (2)
did some work in the run here last week on debut when holding on for the bronze behind SCAR STRUCK. With some handy trial efforts leading into that first race appearance, the added benefit of the first outing and an improved gate, he can challenge.

 SAN LUCA (1)
is a Huntsville gelding on debut for Ben Battle. The fifth foal of his dam, the four that have raced are all winners including the two from two MARRANZANO. The gate is a big plus.

SELECTIONS: PARISIAN HUSTLER (5), HEAD RUSH (2), SAN LUCA (1)
SUGGESTED BET: PARISIAN HUSTLER (5) to win

RACE TWO

Starting deep in the red last start at the mobile 2138, SASSY GALLEON (5) was exposed early before finding cover through the middle stages. With superior closing speed to zip past and post a 2m margin, she is starting to put it all together and despite the gate, has the class to capitalise.

 TAYLAD TO USE (4)
was luckless last start when searching for gaps that were required sooner than they arrived. Making good metres chasing home the star GUS the start prior, if he can time the start to find a handy spot, he finds he right conditions to issue a challenge.

 CALL ME TROUBLE (6)
was runner-up to ALDEBARANSTILINKSI in the McNeil Final where he was best in the chasing pack. Strong to the line last start behind SASSY GALLEON, another small field is in its favour.

SELECTIONS: SASSY GALLEON (5), TAYLAD TO USE (4), CALL ME TROUBLE (6)
 SUGGESTED BET:
SASSY GALLEON (5) to win

RACE THREE

Returning from a break to make his first appearance as a 3YO, FITZROY (4) worked hard in the run when parked from gate 5. Not shirking the task with a sub 55 last 800, he fought to the wire for the bronze behind the NSW Derby bound FIRE AND PASSION. He can flex second up.

 JAMES ALFRED (2)
has the gate advantage over the main dangers and will take further benefit from the latest outing when second up from a spell. The inside second line gate stung when resuming and second up was a tough effort when parked. Finding the pegs can see him throw down a challenge.

 SITTING ON EIGHT (5)
was shut down after a long 2YO term that ended with a 3rd in the Sunshine Stars Final behind PURE GRUNT. A sound effort first up, the gate stings here.

SELECTIONS: FITZROY (4), JAMES ALFRED (2), SITTING ON EIGHT (5)
 SUGGESTED BET:
FITZROY (4) to win

RACE FOUR

Showing good manners when the tapes release, NELLIE JOY (5) was just behind the money in the McNeil Final two starts back. Settling in the running line from the 20m tape last time out, she moves forward 10m and with a safe start can be close enough to capitalise.

 MAJESTIC BREEZE (6)
is on the short back-up after scoring from 20m on Friday after a safe start and finding running line cover. Working into the race and hitting the front to post a 2m margin, it had followed a 3rd behind LOOK FOR TASCOTT. From the 10m tape, she can throw it down.

 CROOKWELL EYES (2)
was tucked away last start under mobile conditions and did not have the speed to go with them late. Holding on for 3rd after hitting the front too early two starts back, the front tape assists his chances.

 FLASH KYVALLEY (9)
has finished in the top two at his past three, with a narrow victory from 20m sandwiched either side of 2nd placings under mobile conditions. He can feature again.

SELECTIONS: NELLIE JOY (5), MAJESTIC BREEZE (6), CROOKWELL EYES (2), FLASH KYVALLEY (9)
 SUGGESTED BET:
NELLIE JOY (5) to win

RACE FIVE

A tricky race here with limited winning form to assess. One of two in the field that can boast a win in their past five starts, THE REAL ROCKETMAN (4) will try to convert a Marburg win three starts back into winning form here at HQ. Making a late impression but unplaced behind AMILLIONCHANCES last start, he might be the one.

 FAVREAU (5)
has been runner-up at his past two starts, both when forced to sit parked and do the heavy lifting. 4m from AMILLIONCHANCES last week, there are six runners out of that same race doing battle again here. Beaten a half-head two starts back, he can challenge again.

 WESTERN ACTION (3)
will take further benefit from the latest outing where he was third up from a break. Running late from the 1x1 trail for the bronze, he can get forward to feature in this.

 GHOST TRAIN (2)
has placed at his past two at Redcliffe, the latest when 6m astern of the winner SHADY DELIGHT after showing some early hustle. From the gate, he is a podium hope.

SELECTIONS: THE REAL ROCKETMAN (4), FAVREAU (5), WESTERN ACTION (3), GHOST TRAIN (2)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SIX

After an unplaced return to start his 4YO term when faced with a second line gate, PATH TO GREATNESS (2) will make his first appearance from the standing start here. His 3YO term ended after finishing midfield behind DOUBLE LOU at Menangle back in October and after two tidy trials and the first up effort, can cash in here.

 MOSSDALE TERRY (6)
made an error when resuming in Saturday night company and finished down the line. While his standing start stats may only show the solitary win from 12 attempts, it is likely not an accurate figure as to what the number should show. Off 10m and able to step smartly, he can give plenty here.

 EYETHINK (7)
is the big query runner, stepping out for the first time in almost 30 months. Transferring to Shawn Grimsey, the 7YO is an 11-time winner from just 21 starts and after three preparatory trials, stays under watch.

 GREAT ACHIEVER (1)
has now had four attempts from the tapes and placed on three occasions. Setting the tempo last start and only collared in the last strides by FRANKE FEROCIOUS, he will be right in the fight once again.

SELECTIONS: PATH TO GREATNESS (2), MOSSDALE TERRY (6), EYETHINK (7), GREAT ACHIEVER (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:

RACE SEVEN

With the perfect record since arriving in Qld, MARTIN MAGIC (3) will be looking to complete the hat-trick. Finding a needle-eye gap to charge through and score first up, he was strong last start after digging in to score at 2138 and post a PB. From the gate he can chase the threepeat.

 DEE TERROR (1)
has the mapping favours from the inside gate and can secure an economical trip behind the speed. Only a half-neck from, the winner two starts back when settled in the trail from this same gate, he was not suited by gate 7 last time. He will be stalking, ready to strike.

 LITTLELIONELJAMES (5)
has been a model of consistency in recent outings, hitting the board in seven of eight for the term. Dictating in front for a narrow margin two starts back, he held on for the bronze last start and can feature again.

 BAIL DENIED (8)
was snookered away from this same gate last start and when finding the gaps was under 2m from the winner. Likely to face a similar fate again, he will be probing.

SELECTIONS: MARTIN MAGIC (3), DEE TERROR (1), LITTLELIONELJAMES (5), BAIL DENIED (8)
 SUGGESTED BET:
MARTIN MAGIC (3) to win

RACE EIGHT

A few of these will be gasping in the latter stages of this 2138m contest, but ROYAL PRINCESS (2) should not be one of those. A winner from the second line over this trip three starts back, her past two have been at the mile, the latest when setting the speed early when 4th to SII SEMPRE TILLY. This looks more suitable.

 TIGER TOMMY (4)
eased off the arm and was unable to get warm last start when finishing at the rear behind IDEAL DESIRE. Chasing late for the bronze behind HATTIES JEWEL the start prior, she can run a strong trip and positioning cheaply can see her issue a challenge.

 CULLECTINGCARDLES (8)
chased home for 3rd last start after showing some early speed when the field was released. Likely to be shuffled back here, she will be relying on some luck.

 TEACHERS PET (1)
maps for the ideal trip in behind the speed and will be looking for the gaps late to chime in. Her credentials at the middle trip are the concern, but the gate helps.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL PRINCESS (2), TIGER TOMMY (4), CULLECTINGCARDLES (8), TEACHERS PET (1)
 SUGGESTED BET:
ROYAL PRINCESS (2) to win

RACE NINE

A return to Tuesday company will be a big help for CHEZZ DALE (9) which took on Saturday night opposition last start from a second line gate. A winner at the mile two starts back when sent hard off the arm to take control and fend them off late, he can defy the gate to cash in here.

 RIBEIRO (3)
was sent forward from gate 5 last time out at the mile to sit parked and after the tough trip, was still fighting on the wire. Despite missing the money, he was just 2m from the winner and fitter again after two runs back from a let up, has the gate to challenge.

 COPPERFIELD (1)
burrowed through to hold the front at the mile last time out, fading in the stretch to miss the money when 4m astern of the winner MISTER REACTOR. Only a neck away the start prior, he has options to feature.

 MEGS BOY (4)
was returning from a spell last time out and making his first appearance beyond the mile. Strong to the line when under 4m from the winner, the added fitness will assist his claims.

SELECTIONS:
CHEZZ DALE (9), RIBEIRO (3), COPPERFIELD (1), MEGS BOY (4)
 SUGGESTED BET:
CHEZZ DALE (9) to win
