RACE 1

THE TIGER ARMY (1) isn’t a horse with brilliant gate speed which often sees him shuffled back in races. He draws gate 1 in this race and has the aid of the 2040 start point which usually allows horses drawn low to kick through and hold a position. He trialled up smartly recently leading all the way and rating good time.

MUCH BETTOR (3) worked forward three starts ago securing a good run before finishing best to score a narrow win. He backed that up well running a close up fourth two starts ago behind Hatties Jewel over the 2138 before drawing poorly last start and getting a long way back.

WINDY HILL WALLY (7) should get a good run through early and could be as close as leaders back in the run. He probably isn’t a horse ideally suited to that type of run and generally does his best work up on speed in the clear. He put in a good effort recently to score two starts ago before running well again last start.

MY ULTIMATE FELIX (10) ran well a number of times last campaign and seemed best suited when sat up and saved for one run which he should get the opportunity to do in this race.

SELECTIONS: THE TIGER ARMY (1), MUCH BETTOR (3), WINDY HILL WALLY (7), MY ULTIMATE FELIX (10)

SUGGESTED BET: THE TIGER ARMY (1) to win.

RACE 2

LENNY LINCOLN (1) likely has the speed to be able to drive through and lead in the early stages of the race. He has seemingly bounced back to some of his better form in recent outings and was a very good fourth last time out running on from the rear of the field. He should be hard to beat.

BRACKEN WARRIOR (2) although it looks unlikely he can get across to the lead there may be the option to duck in behind Lenny Lincoln with the horse drawn inside back row Azor Ahai having badly struggled to hold a position early from that draw. He was overdriven last start over a trip he seemingly struggles to full run out when driven aggressively. Stepping back to the shorter journey and to Redcliffe both look to work in his favour.

REAL TIN TIN (9) was a winner five starts ago when running on best to score at this track and trip. He ran well again last start finishing off nicely into second. He likes racing at this track and looks likely to be suited in this race doing no work in the early stages.

COPPERFIELD (6) ran a good second in quick time three starts ago leading for most of the way before running well again his following start. This looks an easier race but he does have the outside draw to navigate and will need to do work at some stage to get into the race.

SELECTIONS: LENNY LINCOLN (1), BRACKEN WARRIOR (2), REAL TIN TIN (9), COPPERFIELD (6)

SUGGESTED BET: LENNY LINCOLN (1) to win.

RACE 3

WELL SAID NUGGET (5) led early before handing over to Kerbang and running a close up second. He draws wider here in this race but might be able to find a forward position. If he could find the lead he’d be very hard to beat.

DIPPED IN SILVER (9) loves racing at this track and trip having scored a number of wins. He was able to secure a good run two starts ago before finishing best to score over Oyster Stride. He should be suited racing off the speed doing no work early.

RIGHTYO (6) led recently at this track over the 1780 and proved too good leading all the way to beat Western Bill who has since won at Albion Park. He draws poorly in this race and may be forced to work at some stage or will be shuffled a long way back.

LITTLEMICKEY (4) ran second to Beer Money who rated fast time for the grade over the 2040 at this track. He generally does his best work when sat up for one run which he should get the opportunity to do again in this race.

SELECTIONS: WELL SAID NUGGET (5), DIPPED IN SILVER (9), RIGHTYO (6), LITTLEMICKEY (4)

SUGGESTED BET: WELL SAID NUGGET (5) to win.

RACE 4

TRACER BULLET (5) got a long way back last start and only got into the clear late finishing off powerfully to get into second. Three starts ago he was able to work through off the back row and lead all the way. He is a horse that races best up on speed and looks likely to be able to get up there again in this race.

WANDARY DELIGHT (8) finishing off strongly last start to get into second behind dominant winner Our Dolly who rated fast time for the grade. This race looks likely to generate a good tempo on paper and she should be suited coming with one run.

IMPERIOUS (2) has gate speed and might be able to work to the lead in the early stages of this race. He led last start leading most of the way and just being run down very late by Vodka En Ice.

TAKE COURAGE (9) has been racing in near career best form in recent times. She was aboe to score a good win four starts ago finishing best and has since run well including finishing a good third behind Illbewatching at this track.

SELECTIONS: TRACER BULLET (5), WANDARY DELIGHT (8), IMPERIOUS (2), TAKE COURAGE (9)

SUGGESTED BET: WANDARY DELIGHT (8) to win.

RACE 5

LAST CALL (1) hasn’t been known for her toughness in the past but was excellent last start sitting without cover only beaten just over a length. She draws the inside this time and has good gate speed which should allow her to drive through and lead early before having options.

PRINCE JOY (8) has seemingly recaptured some of his better form. He drew wide last start and got a long way back before running on nicely into second behind Snip Of Beauty. He draws better in this race and should be a lot closer in the run.

LITTLE HOOFANNANY (6) has often been thereabouts in races in QLD but has only been able to record the 1 win in her past 29 starts and seemingly often finds one or two better. She draws widest this time and will likely need speed on early to bring her into the race.

CULLECTINGCARDLES (7) has proved enigmatic throughout her career showing good promise at times and being quite disappointing when well suited in a number of her races. She ran well two starts ago when burning off the gate before handing over early then just seemingly over raced in behind the last start and faded out of it late.

SELECTIONS: LAST CALL (1), PRINCE JOY (8), LITTLE HOOFANNANY (6), CULLECTINGCARDLES (7)

SUGGESTED BET: CULLECTINGCARDLES (7) each way.

RACE 6

BLUE DRAGON (6) sat outside Impermissible last start when first up from a spell and put in an excellent run there. She draws widest this time outside the front row but given she showed she’s capable of doing the work in her races that should be no issue and she looks likely to go around a short priced favourite this time.

ESTER JEAN (1) hasn’t had a lot of favours in recent outings being shuffled back in strong races. She draws best in this race and last time she drew this gate she was able to score over the 2040 at this track. She can lead early before taking a trail on the favourite and has solid place claims from there.

NEED NOT TO WARRY (2) has gate speed and draws favourably in this race. He worked forward last start and finished fourth in a race dominated by the runners on the pegs taken out by The Rizzler.

PADDYS DIAMOND (8) battled on well two starts ago after being forced to race without cover in a quickly run race for the grade. He backed that up with a good effort again last start when finishing fourth. He should get a good run through in this race and can be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: BLUE DRAGON (6), ESTER JEAN (1), NEED NOT TO WARRY (2), PADDYS DIAMOND (8)

SUGGESTED BET: PADDYS DIAMOND (8) to place.

RACE 7

STAY DREAMY (5) was well beaten last start after securing a good run in a race taken out by Alwaysbjoy. She appeared to do a few things wrong there racing roughly through the concluding stages. If she could find the front on her best she would give them something to catch.

LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (8) disappointed as a short priced favourite last start when finishing sixth. He had put in a run his start prior which suggested a win wasn’t far away finishing second to Diamantina Daisy in fast time at this track and trip and if he can recapture that form he would be right in the finish again.

DOUG STEWART (9) put in an excellent effort two starts ago to finish third in a race taken out by Alwaysbjoy in an effort that was seemingly a big improvement on his moderate QLD debut. He couldn’t back that up last start finding the pegs securing the perfect run and tiring badly late failing to beat a runner home.

NEEDAREASON (1) has shown very little gate speed which could prove his undoing from a great draw. He secured a good run last start and was finishing off nicely late into third in a race taken out by Miss Bluetrump. If he can hold a forward position he can figure in this race.

SELECTIONS: STAY DREAMY (5), LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (8), DOUG STEWART (9), NEEDAREASON (1)

SUGGESTED BET: STAY DREAMY (5) to win.

RACE 8

PRESCOTT (8) burned hard to lead last start at this track and trip and was run down late by Matteo who had done no work in the run. He had trialled up sharply leading into his debut run where he flashed home late making up good ground. He should be running on strongly late.

MISTER FREEMAN (3) got back to last on debut and was running on nicely late into third there. He was suited by a genuine early tempo to bring him into the race but could find a forward position this time and would likely be hard to run down if he led.

PHOTO BOMB (6) has been making mistakes in his races but appears to have good ability and when he can put it all together he should be able to break through. He draws widest in this race and will need to bring better manners than he has been.

TAKING STOCK (1) has seemingly struggled to put everything together manners wise but has shown enough ability to suggest with the right run he could figure in the minor money.

SELECTIONS: PRESCOTT (8), MISTER FREEMAN (3), PHOTO BOMB (6), TAKING STOCK (1)

SUGGESTED BET: PRESCOTT (8) to win.
