RACE 1

BLACKJACK CRIPPA (2) is returning from a spell in this race. He has gate speed and draws outside of a horse that may elect to take a trail in this race. In similar company his last race start he went around a short priced favourite and looks likely to go around favourite again.

GREAT WHITE (3) hit the line strongly last start behind Majorita Jujon over the 2040 at this track. He should get a good run close enough to the speed and if the race is run to suit he will be running on again.

PRINCE OF PAIN (8) was launched off the gate to lead and over raced badly doing well to be beaten just 7.6 metres behind Cool Night who has since run well. He should be better suited settling on a helmet and will get a good run through in the early stages of this race.

MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (6) was a last start winner when leading all the way at Albion Park from a wide gate. It looks tougher for her to find the front in this race drawn widest. She is versatile and if she can secure the right run she should be hard to beat again.

SELECTIONS: BLACKJACK CRIPPA (2), GREAT WHITE (3), PRINCE OF PAIN (8), MARDIBRINGSAPARTY (6)

SUGGESTED BET: BLACKJACK CRIPPA (2) to win.

RACE 2

REAL TIN TIN (3) has been racing in very good form and seems to do some of his best racing at this track. He loomed up and hit the front last start but ha to sustain a long run and was beaten by Lenny Lincoln who was out in front.

DOCTA FEELGOOD (1) has been racing below his best in recent times and hasn’t finished closer than midfield his past four runs. In saying that he has always been a horse that goes his best when able to find the front and from a good draw he can look to do the same again in this race.

KERBANG (2) led two starts ago and took them all the way over the 2040. He backed that up with a very good run last start finishing third after facing the breeze throughout in very fast time in a race won by Pumpkin Pat. He looks a big chance again in this race.

HEAVENS BADGIRL (8) has just modest numerical form but has seemingly been racing in strong company. She lands in the stable of Shawn Grimsey who has been in strong form to start March and seems to do a particularly good job with tried horses.

SELECTIONS: REAL TIN TIN (3), DOCTA FEELGOOD (1), KERBANG (2), HEAVENS BADGIRL (8)

SUGGESTED BET: DOCTA FEELGOOD (1) to win.

RACE 3

RIGHTYO (10) got a long way back in a race taken out by Thereschance and ran on well enough late. He should find this race a lot easier and there may be a more genuine early tempo to bring him into the race.

GOOD WORD THAT (3) secured a good run last start leaders back and ran well to be beaten a touch over a length behind Oyster Stride. He should get a good run close to the speed in this race and can be running on strongly late.

LAST CALL (2) led last start before controlling the tempo and was just run down by Ashlee Nitro. She did appear to have her chance to break through for another win last start but may be able to secure a similar run close to the speed again and should be hard to beat.

SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (7) got a long way back last start after drawing wide and couldn’t get into the race in what became a dash home late. He draws well this time and should get a good run through on the back of CAPTAIN OH CAPTAIN (1).

SELECTIONS: RIGHTYO (10), GOOD WORD THAT (3), LAST CALL (2), SMIRKS LIKA BOSS (7)

SUGGESTED BET: GOOD WORD THAT (3) each way.

RACE 4

LITTLE HOOFANNANY (1) has just moderate gate speed which has seen her often shuffled back and needing to make up ground late to get into her races. Last time she drew well in a race she could potentially lead she was crossed by Bonnies Cam. This race looks like there’s a lot less gate speed and if she can lead she can likely be hard to run down.

CANADIAN LASS (6) was able to secure the right run in a mares qualifying race last start and finished third there behind Sensationlize. She has been racing in good form and looks reasonably well graded in this race. She will need to navigate the wide draw but may elect to press forward and sit outside the leader.

MITCHELLS RUN (4) secured the perfect run 1 out 1 back last start at Albion Park before running third behind Captain Nemo. He has good gate speed and should be able to find a prominent position in this race from a reasonable draw.

LITTLEMICKEY (2) was able to run a distant second to Beer Money two starts ago at 2040 in a race the winner rated fast time. He may be able to duck in behind the leader with SO MANY MOMENTS (7) not a horse that usually shows a great of of gate speed.

SELECTIONS: LITTLE HOOFANNANY (1), CANADIAN LASS (6), MITCHELLS RUN (4), LITTLEMICKEY (2)

SUGGESTED BET: LITTLE HOFANANNY (1) to win.

RACE 5

ROYAL WINKLE (9) hit the line strongly last start to get into second behind Captain Oh Captain. He should get a similar type of run in this race off the speed and should be running on strongly late. He should appreciate the step back to the 1780.

JUKEBOX JET (3) wasn’t beaten far two starts ago behind Vodka En Ice. He has gate speed and should be able to find a forward position in this race. He was well beaten last start by Oyster Stride at this track and trip but should find this easier.

TRACER BULLET (5) over raced last start back in the field last time out and was too far off them to figure turning for home. He draws wide again in this race and may press forward early.

MAJOR MISCHIEF (1) made a break in the score up and had to chase the gate doing work to get into position at the start last time out. He has gate speed and may look to drive through and hold a forward position and may run well at odds.

SELECTIONS: ROYAL WINKLE (9), JUKEBOX JET (3), TRACER BULLET (5), MAJOR MISCHIEF (1)

SUGGESTED BET: ROYAL WINKLE (9) to win.

RACE 6

THERESACHANCE (1) was able to lead easily early last start and controlled things through the first half before dashing up nicely to score. He has never seemingly been best suited when racing over the 2040 and he steps back to his favourite track and distance in this race over the 1780 at Redcliffe where he draws to find his favourite position out in front. He looks hard to beat.

LENNY LINCOLN (5) was able to drive through and lead last time out before controlling things nicely and kicking well to hold out Real Tin Tin with a big gap to third. He has a much less favourable draw in this race drawn wider and will need things to go his way at some stage to get into the race.

BAIL DENIED (6) took a trail on Major Crunch at Albion Park last start over the 2138 and was able to run a close up fourth in a race taken out by Soho Casablanca. He should appreciate the step back to the 1780 and an easier race here at Redcliffe.

GRIGORA (4) comes into this race first up from a spell having trialled up quite well. He is usually best suited when sat up and saved for one run which he should get the opportunity to do in this race.

SELECTIONS: THERESACHANCE (1), LENNY LINCOLN (5), BAIL DENIED (6), GRIGORA (4)

SUGGESTED BET: THERESACHANCE (1) to win.

RACE 7

NEEDAREASON (1) was able to lead without a huge amount of pressure last start before controlling things and putting a margin on his rivals with the talented Moonshine Milly in second. He looks likely to be able to lead again and should be hard to run down.

CHERRIES ON TOP (7) appears to have drawn poorly for a horse that’s manners continue to let her down seeing her shuffled a long way back in races and unable to be used off the gate early.. She has the ability to figure in a race of this nature but will need to bring her best manners to drive through and hold a position early. She was left without cover before breaking gear causing her to gallop last time out so can be forgiven for that effort.

SON OF DOC (10) comes into this race first up without a trial from New Zealand. He appears to have raced in just moderate company and is a difficult horse to line up given a lot of his racing was in stand starts or on the grass. May be worth keeping safe first up.

NEED NOT TO WARRY (8) was taken onto the pegs early last start before running on into third late in what was a quick last half for the grade. He should get a good run through whether he ducks to the pegs or stays in the running line in this race.

SELECTIONS: NEEDAREASON (1), CHERRIES ON TOP (7), SON OF DOC (10), NEED NOT TO WARRY (8)

SUGGESTED BET: NEEDAREASON (1) to win.

RACE 8

MOONSHINE MILLY (6) found the back of Needareason early last start over the 2040 at this track and was able to run a clear second. He look to find a slightly weaker race and should be nearing peak fitness coming into this race third up. He impressed last time in before an inconclusive first up effort when sitting 3 wide most the trip and dropping out.

STAY DREAMY (7) was a winner four starts ago at this track to break her maiden before heading out for a spell. She has since mixed her form a touch running well three starts ago before being well beaten two starts ago getting the right run before being well beaten last start after sitting without cover. She can bounce back from a soft draw.

DIGBY DEVIL (2) got shuffled a long way back last start before hitting the line strongly late to run third. He should be able to settle closer this time from a favourable draw and if the race is run to suit he should be thereabouts again.

LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (4) was making up good ground late to get into fourth last start over the 2040 at this track in a race taken out by Needareason. He draws awkwardly in this race but with the right run is capable of figuring in the money.

SELECTIONS: MOONSHINE MILLY (6), STAY DREAMY (7), DIGBY DEVIL (2), LETS TORQUEABOUTIT (4)

SUGGESTED BET: MOONSHINE MILLY (6) to win.

RACE 9

MISTER FREEMAN (6) was left without cover last start in a similar type of race. He didn’t have the best of luck there when running third having been backed checked by a galloper on the home turn in what had become a dash home. This draw does him no favours and he will likely need to do plenty of work again.

PRESCOTT (7) was a similarly unlucky runner in the same race as Mister Freeman copping a check at the worst possible stage of the race. He had been ultra impressive first up off a 3 year break when finishing second two starts ago having worked hard early. He has a very awkward draw to navigate in this race but is capable if things fall his way.

SIX SEVEN (2) drew wide last start and got a long way back in a very slowly run race making up good ground late. He draws much better this time and should be closer in the run. He seems to be gradually improving each run and should run well in this race.

ALWAYS CIRCLING (5) draws wide in this race but finds a race where there doesn’t appear to be a lot of gate speed drawn to his inside. He led last start and had every chance when coming up short in second, can run well again if he is able to lead.

SELECTIONS: MISTER FREEMAN (6), PRESCOTT (7), SIX SEVEN (2), ALWAYS CIRCLING (5)

SUGGESTED BET: PRESCOTT (7) to win.
